Chapter 7: Samael, the king of demons.

Lucifer met Samael while teaching users of different magical attributes how to use different types of healing magics, and he taught ordinary people how to make pacts with spirits in order to be able to use magic just like all other users.

Samael was a man who possessed an enormous amount of mana or magical power, and his abilities to use it rivaled the most powerful angels of the celestial realm, he could not even say for sure if he could defeat him in a battle, one on one, Lucifer never expected someone like him, to exist among humans, but if there was one thing he was sure of was that....

«He is a dangerous person.»

That thought was a given, as anyone who could rival celestial entities, posed a risk to his home, so he needed to make a decision as soon as he met him.

"I should eliminate him, or just watch him."

The decision was becoming increasingly difficult, as the man did not possess even a hint of malice in his being, plus after exchanging a few words with him, she felt that his dreams and ideals, were pure and could help both the earthly and celestial worlds.

Samael like Lucifer felt a deep interest in humanity, and like him, had traveled to various places investigating people and the origin of magic, in order to help everyone on the continent, however he thought that humans were dangerous, both for themselves and for others, was a race that would eventually end up causing their own annihilation.

In order to avoid that eventual occurrence, Samael thought that humans should be ruled by some other race, powerful but peaceful, that did not fall into something as banal as desire and ambitions, or at least that their emotions were not as strong as those of humans, so that they would not have the risk of falling into sin.

That was the main reason for setting out on his journey, "to seek out that race" and help it dominate the humans, with as few casualties as possible.

Lucifer was interested in Samael's ideas, however if he helped him, he would break the rule of not intervening in this world, in fact, for Lucifer it was a miracle that his God had not done anything yet, for having taught humans so many arts, known only to the celestials.

«Perhaps god agrees with the actions I have taken so far, or perhaps, something happened in heaven?»

After asking himself that last question, Lucifer began to wonder if it was time to return to the heavens, but decided to deny that idea from his mind and continue observing Samael.

Having made his decision, Lucifer accompanied Samael throughout the continent and they even traveled to other continents in search of that race, and during the journey they became closer and closer, until they became great friends.

Their journey led them to dragons, orcs, elves, dwarves, ogres, nymphs, lamias, giants, harpies, goblins and even slimes, but none of these races had the right characteristics to rule another.

The dragons, although powerful and intelligent, were very proud and destructive, besides they got angry very easily, that fact both lived it in their own flesh.

The elves, although agile, intelligent and long-lived, despised other races, so they were useless either.

As for the others, they lacked strength, intelligence or courage to subdue humans, so they were unable to find any suitable race, even with all the adventures they had.

The years passed and finally they arrived where they started, it was then that Samael confessed to him, that the result they obtained, he had expected it from the beginning, there was no race in this world that could rule the humans in an adequate way.

So he needed to combine his power with Lucifer's to create the perfect race that could rule them without problems.

Before meeting Samael, his words would have been considered blasphemy, only the supreme god was allowed to create life in this world.

Or at least that would have been the case a couple of decades ago....

Lucifer had witnessed firsthand the destructive behavior of humans, and what saddened his being the most, was to see how the tools he had taught them to build to defend themselves, were used for war purposes.

This trip taught Lucifer that the human race should not remain this way much longer, so he decided to join forces with Samael to create that dream race.

Strength, controlled emotions, intelligence and empathy, combining Lucifer's celestial power and Samael's original magic, the magic of creation, would be able to accomplish this.

The two combined their magical power, Lucifer did not give much importance to the fact that Samael knew he was from the heavens and continued to lend his power to Samael.

A sort of black hole began to form soon after, gathering the energy of the world and gradually they took on a humanoid form, although the big difference between them and humans was their slightly longer ears, horns and amount of magical power.

Time passed, and they managed to create about 2000 of these humanoids, men and women in equal numbers.

However, the creation of this new species, although relatively quick, had consequences on the bodies of both Samael and Lucifer.

Samael's skin became a reddish color, he had a more prominent musculature, and most noticeably, like the new species they had created, although larger, he grew black horns on his head.

And as for Lucifer, his beautiful white wings, were acquiring a shade as dark as an abyss, his skin became a little more yellow like the race they had created, and he also grew small horns of the same color as his skin.

Although he had not been told, nor was it written anywhere, Lucifer had realized, no, he knew for certain, this new appearance was a divine punishment for having created a new form of life, and from that moment on his entrance to the heavens had been permanently denied, he would never see his beloved and almighty god again.

For the first time that day, Lucifer wept in complete despair, he could never return home no matter what he did, he no longer belonged there.

But his new friend would not allow Lucifer to sink into utter despair, so he touched his kneeling friend's shoulder and made him look ahead, to the race they had both created, and to the future that still awaited them.

"They had not yet finished their work."

So with the large amount of mana they still had left, they created 6 protective entities for the demons, who had power comparable to that of a lesser god, who from that moment on would be known as the deadly sins.

This new race, by itself was powerful, but even so, it was not invincible, and in this world there could be many creatures, including humans themselves because of their enormous numbers, that could lead to their annihilation.

For this reason, the creation of these guardians was necessary, the representatives of the great faults of the humans and who would help to balance the balance of power between the two races, so that there would not be a unilateral massacre.

The seven sins were composed of....

Lust, represented by Asmodeus, gluttony, represented by Beelzebub, greed, represented by Mammon, sloth, represented by Belphegor, anger, represented by Amon, and envy, represented by Leviathan.

These beings represented the protectors of this new race, drawing power from the shortcomings of human beings and using it to protect.

However, one sin was missing, and Lucifer fulfilled that role to complete the sins, after all his arrogance took him to the place where he was, without measuring the consequences of his actions, he ignored the orders of his god, and did what he considered was the best for a world that did not belong to him, it was no longer the time for repentance, now he only had to move forward with Samael, the new king of this race.

That day, the sin of pride, Lucifer, was born along with the demonic race.

The only thing Lucifer longed for was that one day his god would forgive him, but much later he would learn that the god he loved and respected so much was no longer seated on the heavenly throne.

And soon he would know the wrath of the new god, Solomon, the all-knowing one.

Together with his right-hand man, Gabriel and his advisor Chronos, he would soon make his move in the face of Lucifer's insubordination.
