Chapter 9: The fall of the demons.

A projectile was fired at a great speed to end up impacting a small mountain, however, this was not just any projectile, but it was the same Samael that had been thrown by one of Solomon's attacks, who was completely angry, while quickly restoring his non-existent right cheek through which his teeth could be seen, due to the brutal blow that Samael had previously given him.

This battle began a few minutes after Solomon started his attack against the living beings of this world, mainly because the self-proclaimed supreme god could not be convinced with simple words to stop.

And at the moment that battle began, Lucifer dedicated himself to prevent both Chronos and Gabriel from getting involved in that combat.

And on the other hand, although the other deadly sins wanted to help in these combats, they received the order from Samael to protect the humans, until this battle was over.

The battle was intensifying every second, the blows of Samael although they managed to make deep wounds that tore the body of Solomon, were not enough since this was restored at an extremely fast speed, and on the side of Samael, he received constant magical attacks but although he did not have a regeneration as powerful as that of Solomon, his resistance was more than enough to continue in combat for many hours.

The fact that both were relatively evenly matched infuriated Solomon, so each of his attacks had more power than the previous one, however, the critical hit he needed to take the advantage, did not seem close to arriving, which made him get frustrated and attack much faster and increase his reaction speed, although this eventually wore down his stamina.

Lucifer on the other hand, from one moment to another began to feel insecure for a moment while fighting since, during his exchange of words with Gabriel, he had learned that one of the reasons why Adonai died, was because he was weakened due to the sadness he felt when he saw how Lucifer was corrupted.

This news shocked Lucifer, but he still managed to stand up because Gabriel's face showed doubt, so he could assume that this was nothing more than a rumor he was told.

Lucifer and Gabriel were very good friends in the celestial realm so they always trusted each other, in fact, if Gabriel had seriously fought against him, he would have already died in this two against one encounter, probably the only reason Gabriel was in this battle was because of his status as an angel and the right hand of the throne of God.

The long battle soon reached a stalemate where neither side was giving ground, but although they could continue for a long time battling, for humans it was not the same, because even with the protection of the deadly sins, dozens of humans lost their lives in just a few seconds, this could not continue any longer.

Samael observed Lucifer for a few seconds during the battle, as if he was indicating that it was time to end it all, to which Lucifer nodded seriously.

During the years in which Lucifer and Samael traveled, they made several investigations related to magic, and a few months after having created the demonic race, one of their investigations finally bore fruit, the union of the celestial kingdom with the earth, however, it could also be used to seal the celestial kingdom from the earthly one indefinitely.

But this magic to be used required sacrificing 7 extremely powerful entities, this did not mean that they would be eliminated but rather, the sacrifices could no longer return to set foot on earth, in other words, they would be sent to live for eternity in hell.

It was evident that the sacrifices would be the deadly sins, which included Lucifer, however even though it was extremely painful for Samael, it was something that had to be done to stop this senseless slaughter, even so, he could not help but bite his lip hard enough to make it bleed, as a sign of helplessness.

Lucifer quickly stepped back and sent a signal for the sins to gather, of course, Chronos tried to stop him but was immediately hit by Samael's mighty fist which sent him flying a couple of meters until he crashed into the hard earth.

Sins quickly began to gather his power to perform that powerful magic, and his very essence seemed to disappear every second, as his skin was becoming transparent, while Samael's battle became a three on one that looked like he was going to lose at any moment.

The magic was only a few seconds away from activating, and in that instant, a deadly blow was close to reaching Samael, however, he was unexpectedly protected by Gabriel, who received the full impact of Chronos' blow in his heart and after Gabriel looked at Lucifer with a smile that said "do it", he was sucked by a black hole from his chest.

Solomon took advantage of this moment of distraction to stop Lucifer, while Chronos restrained Samael, but although Lucifer wanted to cry out heartbreakingly for the loss of a great friend, in tears, he activated the spell.

—Magnum Sigillum. —After uttering those words, a shockwave with a golden aura coming from the sins sent all the angels flying back to the heavenly realm, and as for the gods, they resisted in a better way, but eventually, they too were slowly dragged back to the heavens.

—It is already here, their destruction is imminent, no matter how hard they try. —As Solomon tried to hold on to the air that seemed to suck him in, Solomon smiled as he looked at the border, which made everyone turn to look in that direction.

—Gyaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. —The deafening roar of a giant beast approaching from the skies was heard throughout the continent.

—T-Terminus Drako. —Lucifer whispered in a weak and surprised voice, as he struggled to stay grounded.

During their travels through the world, when they arrived at the lair of the dragons, who were one of the most intelligent races in this world and thus a race capable of dominating the human, they encountered this gigantic black dragon who called himself Terminus Drako or as some of the other dragons called him, the dragon of the end.

He was the leader of the dragon race, he was extremely intelligent, able to almost immediately understand any concept and speak different languages, and that's not to mention his gigantic magical power that surpassed 2 times that of Samael, or at least that's what he said, plus in a dispute they had, the two almost ended up dead in a simple battle against Terminus, so his power was not to be underestimated at all.

And that powerful entity was coming to bring destruction to the world, under Solomon's orders, that was something despicable, Samael thought.

The humans had barely survived the onslaught of the angels and now they would have to face the most powerful dragon in the world, it really seemed that everything was over here.

—HUMANS, ON THIS OCCASION I WILL RETIRE, IF YOU CAN SURVIVE MY LITTLE PET, I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW CHANCE, THINK WELL ABOUT THE FUTURE AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DEMONS, I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING WHAT DECISION YOU HAVE TAKEN, because next time I will not be so kind to your kind. —Another short speech coming from Solomon was heard in every corner of the earth, and almost reaching the end he whispered some words that only those who were close to him could hear.

Usually, humans would have risen up against the heavens because of what the angels had caused previously, but in the atmosphere, there was only fear and despair.

—Annihilate the demons! Annihilate the demons! Kill them! They caused this! They must be destroyed! —One by one the voices of the citizens could be heard all over the continent, cursing and openly showing a total and desperate hatred for the demons.

And as if Solomon was satisfied with what he had provoked, he headed with a gentle smile of his own back to the heavenly realm, and just before disappearing into the heavens, he cast a look full of contempt towards Samael, although he did not give it much importance.

On the other hand, Lucifer along with the other sins began to disappear or in other words, to be transported to the underworld.

Lucifer was worried about the battle that his friend would soon fight against the great black dragon, but his concern vanished as soon as Samael showed him his back with his arm extended and thumb raised as if he was saying to leave it in his hands.

—Good luck. —And finally, with a sigh with a friendly smile and Lucifer's words of encouragement, the sins disappeared from the earth.

And so, the battle prior to the great war had reached its climax, where the king of the demons would try to protect the living beings of the continent from the king of the dragons.
