An Unlikely Future

I wake up early on Christmas morning. Soon after the break started, I went out and found some gifts for Oliver and his family. They’re shitty gifts, but that was all I could afford. I used most of my check getting something for everybody. I only have one nice outfit, so I feel a little embarrassed showing up in the same clothes as Thanksgiving. We work with what we have, though. Mary had told me where her wrapping paper was before she left. I’d come up with the idea to get gifts and asked her advice on what to get adults. The wooden floors are a little warmer on my feet than normal, but the heater is also a little higher than normal. While I’m gone, I turn it back down, but while I’m here I enjoy warm toes.
