Luke's POV

4 bows. 4 bows that marked her greatest stunts for 2 whole months. She's clearly a smart being, every move is calculated.

"What do you mean?" Nichole asked me, she had her eyebrows furrowed. I simply gave her a small smile, I think that robbery she did will be my secret for a while.

"She left me a damn signature." Both girls looked at me as if I was crazy, until I decided to pull down the neckline of my shirt. That culprit did not just kiss me and knock me out, she had the audacity to mark me and leave a signature.

"She did that?" Ally asked surprised as she pointed at my hickey. Yep! Not only a hickey, but also a note that says.

"G'night. ~ Kay ;)" written in Black Permanent Marker along my skin.

"Huh, She does leaves bows and signs as Kay." Nichole chuckled while I fixed my shirt. Allyson on the other hand examined me before raising her eyebrow.

"What happened at the rooftop?" Nichole asked. Apparently, Kay decided to play nice and place my shoelace back. I was left out cold at the rooftop with a wound on my lip, a hurting back, and a bruised jaw.

"Nothing, all I knew is that we fought. I outsmarted her but turns out she outsmarted me instead." Nichole gave me look, a certain look that I know.

"Detectives, get back to work." One of the Police Officers said as they looked at us three. God, I hate him so much.

"Fuck off Moore." Was all I said before proceeding to walk towards my shared office. Police Captain Sean Moore. At a young age, he managed to score the position that even the others who came before him couldn't seem to grasp.

Sean is a good Cop, although sometimes he triggers me with his somewhat over confidence. He can get the tasked job done within the span of the time given to him.

"Come on Detective Max, are you seriously still bitter?" He chuckled as he bit into an apple.

"I heard Masked Woman left you out cold last night?" He teased.

This? This is what I'm talking about. This brat has the audacity to mess around with me, I can get him instantly fired but I won't.

"She may have, but she gave me a little present." I smirked as he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. Sean here also tried his luck to get a hold of Kay, but to his luck she never even made an appearance in front of him.

For some reasons, Masked Woman-or as I like to call her-Kay, tends to make sure only I was able to encounter her, I don't know if it's planned, or pure coincidence but it was only me she talks to.

"A present?" He asked curiously while I smirked at him, before turning around and walking inside the office. Another victim left curious.

Currently assigned to help this department here in California, and tasked to fly from the last mission in Hawaii for this urgent case. My name is CIA Agent Luke Jameson, known as Detective Max-taken from my middle name-, by the locals. I came here with my partner; Agent Nichole Hamilton, known as Detective Nico and our CIA analyst; Allyson Harris, who went with the name Detective Ally.

"Detectives, Chief would like to see you." The three of us looked at each other before standing up from our respective seats.

"I wonder what he wants now." Nichole mumbled as we walked towards his office. Chief Clark is a nice man, but sometimes he's just too much to handle.

"How's the case?" He asked as soon as we stepped into his office.

"We're still trying to figure out her victims chief." Ally responded.

"Girls, you've been using that same reason for weeks. She's just a single criminal." He grunted as he looked at us.

"We know chief, but-" Nichole started but he cuts her off.

"Are they serious when they sent you in? I thought you were the top detectives in the FBI." He mumbled. These imbeciles are tricked to think we work at the FBI, how pathetic.

"If she's so easy to 'catch' then why did you even ask for us? That's ironic." Nico and Ally nudged me as I answered the man without stuttering.

"You don't get to t-" I swear he's getting in my nerves. One more idiocy and I'll penetrate a bullet through his damn mouth.

"With all due respect chief, you asked for our service. We could easily decline this for a better offer and salary, but it's Detective Charles who pleaded us to help you. If you're doubting our capabilities, I suggest you ring Detective Charles and ask him."

"Max, Stop." Ally hissed.

"You're just incompetent detectives he sent in." He glared at me. I swear, I'm on the edge of running up to him and punching him.

"I'm just being frank. We've been here for two months and you're treating us like we're a part of your team. Have you forgotten aside from the Masked Woman we've closed 14 cases that this department has on pending? If there's an incompetent officer here, it's you and your team." Was all I said before I walked out the office. That old man needs to seriously cut a slack.

Up till now, I'm still wondering why we accepted Detective Charles' request upon helping this community here. Through the months we stayed here, Mr. Clark gave us nothing but endless works.

I found myself leaning back on a huge tree by the compound's front yard. Sometimes when it's all too much, I prefer thinking in silence.

"You know, smoking's bad." I heard a teasing voice say as I huffed another smoke in the air. I went to look at where the voice came from, and was met with a smile.

"Hey." I smiled at the light brown-haired woman who had just entered the place.

"Hi Detective." She beamed at me.

"I assume, Sean's lunch?" I asked, looking at the bag she was carrying. She nodded shyly, before fixing her glasses.

"Let yourself in." I smiled at her, while she gave me a small nod before walking away. I couldn't help but follow her movements with my eyes, Sean was indeed a lucky bastard.

"How the hell did he land such a package like Camille?" I thought to myself.

Camille, she's a beautiful girl with short hair and those twinkling brown eyes. When I first came here, Sean was already making a fool of himself as the other officer interviewed her.

Camille was in desperate need of help with her job at the Daycare center she was working on. A child had reported to her that her uncle had been grabbing her cookies for a month now, she figured out that the term cookie was the child's sex organ.

"If you weren't so caught up in your job, you would've been that." Nichole teased as she appeared out of no where. I totally didn't notice her, I was so busy staring at the younger one.

"We barely know each other Nico." I chuckled as I shook her head.

“Yeah, but she seems to like you to be honest.”

“Mhm, but I’m not her type.” I chuckled looking at the woman waiting for her boyfriend by the entrance.

"She's not my type as well." I added, Camille was indeed a complete package. I have nothing against her, but she's not the kind I would go out with.

"Of course. You prefer kinky ones." Nichole teased.

"I prefer those with thrill." I corrected her.

"Camille is an innocent, modest woman. I don't deserve her kind." I chuckled to myself. Yet, If I were given a chance... I'd definitely date her.

"So does Sean." Nichole chuckled.

"Why are we even talking about her? Jeez." I chuckled as I threw the cigarette down the ground before stepping on it.

“And you say you don’t deserve Camille.” Nichole teased while I picked up the cigarette and threw it before we both walked back to the building.

"Careful." I chuckled as I caught Camille's hand before she could trip into thin air, This woman is indeed very clumsy.

"Thank you." She shyly smiled.

"Hands off my girl." Sean said as I let go of the woman’s hand.

"Possessive shit." I mumbled out loud for both of them to hear, I could see Nichole stifle a laugh.

"It's fine. She helped me." Camille told the Canadian as I tried my best not to smirk, this idiot.

"Thank you for this Milli." Sean smiled, kissing the woman's cheek while Camille scrunched her nose in response. She was adorable, that's a fact. I started to turn away from them and walked away.

"You're welcome Seanito." I heard the woman said.

"Hey Detective." Sean's voice called out.

"What?" I said without bothering to look back at him.

"Uh... Thanks." He murmured. Huh, he does know how to be less annoying.
