Chapter 24.

They were done with dinner and was about going when a lady accidentally poured wine on Tracy dress. She had apologized and had offered to clean her up in the female restroom, Cole had objected to it insisting she clean up in his car but Tracy had agreed to it saying she couldn't come out all wet and smelly so she had to go clean up. Inasmuch as Cole wasn't comfortable with the idea he didn't argue with her so he let her have way deciding to wait patiently for her since he couldn't accompany her to a female restroom.

Tracy and the lady had just gotten to the restroom when the lady started sobbing.

" I'm sorry, I hadn't meant to drench you, I'm just so broken" she sobs cleaning Tracy up.

"It's okay, Don't cry everything is going to be fine" Tracy assured her wiping her tears with her thumb.

"Of all day....he decided to break up with me on my birthday" The lady continued sobbing loudly this time.

What a heartless fellow. Tracy thought. Couldn't he have waited or perhaps used another day than deciding to ruin her perfect day.

"If he could do this to you then he doesn't deserves you" Tracy stated.

" A guy who could not honour your day does not worth your tears"

" He doesn't right?" The lady questioned looking up at Tracy reasoning what she had just spoken.

Tracy nodded.

" I should be the one asking for a break up. He cheated on me twice yet I still forgave him and now, I had caught him cheating right at my party today with my bestie and when I had confronted him about it he had asked for a break up". She sobs.

" What ache me most was that he didn't find anyone else to cheat with but my bestie and she had gave in betraying me".

Tracy was sober after hearing her side of story, she felt pity for the lady.poor lady to have gotten two shocking news all in one day on her birthday, this world isn't really fair.

" Everything is going to be fine, you just need rest and a place where you'd forget about it" she reassured again.

" I actually came here to clear my head about everything but it isn't working so I had ring my sister to come pick me, she'd be here any moment, I guess" the lady explain.

" Oh, exactly what you'd need. A comforting shoulder to lean on " she said remembering how Jacqueline use to comfort her.

" Am sorry, thanks for your understanding unlike some bitches that'd have taken it out on me before explaining my reasons".

" It's nothing, I wish I'd be able to wait till your sister comes around but.... Her voice trailed off not knowing what to address her boss as.

" But my date wouldn't like me staying long" she continued having found the right word.

"Okay, it's nice meeting you, I'm Nicole". She drawled stretching her hand for a handshake.

Tracy shook her hand. " I'm Tracy" she said smiling.

" It's nice meeting you, you're such an_____" the sudden ring of Nicole phone cut her short as he picked the call.

" Oh, you're here already. I'm at the female restroom ask the bouncer to show you the way. I'd head out now" she said to the receiver as she hung up then turned back to Tracy.

" That was my sister, she said she's here already. Finally, I'm going to have a shoulder to lean on just as you said earlier. I'd like you to meet her. she's so different from me we don't look like sister's, she takes after my mom while I take after my dad. You'll find her amazing cause she such a sweet, lovable,nice tempered____.

The door suddenly creaked open with a girl almost Emily height ( just as Tracy thought) came in interrupting Nicole Appraisal.

" Oh, Tasha, you're here already. I was actually explaining how sweet- tempered you can be to Tracy". Nicole said turning her attention to her sister.

Here already?, how fast. Tracy thought.

" Oh, my dear God!!" She exclaimed gasping at the sight before her, the lady was nonetheless looking partially like Emily. If Emily wasn't her sister and hadn't died at her presence she did have passed her for Emily. The difference was so slight, same oval- shaped face, hazel brown eyes and thin lips just like Emily's the only difference is her hair color which is red while Emily is black and her straight nose which is quite different from her sister's pointed nose.

" Hello!!! Nicole sang waving her hand at her face jolting her from her deep thought to reality.

She flinched, "Sorry about that" she apologized.

"Is everything ok?" Nicole query

"No, nothing" she shook her head. " Just that she's so beautiful that I had passed her for a goddess" Tracy commented using that as an excuse.

"Thank you" Tasha replied smiling.

" Umm.......I'm sorry Nicole, I think I have to get going" Tracy spoke up.

" Yeah, you've got to, you've wasted enough time already and I appreciate you for that but not until I introduce you guys".

"Tracy meet Tasha my sister and Tasha meet Tracy" Nicole introduce.

"It's nice meeting you" Tracy said wanting to shook her hand but Tasha suprised her by hugging her and just for a moment she finds her hug warm and friendly just like her sister Emily.

She pulled back reluctantly, Tasha had asked for her number and she had gave her and bade them good bye finally, leaving them in the restroom.

She had almost gotten to their table when she sighted Cole worrisome expression, he was glancing to and fro shifting uncomfortably staring at his wrist watch from time to time and then back to the door leading to the exits where he finally spotted her before letting out a heavy sigh of relief.

He stood up motioning towards her carrying her bag along.

" What took you so long" he questioned when he had finally gotten to where she was handing her bag over to her.

" It's nothing though but I'll explain" she said and he folded his arm waiting for her explanation perhaps.

"Uhhh.. here? Inside the car" Tracy said hooking her arm in his, forgetting he was her boss she dragged him outside to his car.

He opened the door and watched her fully settled before turning over to the next door, opened it and sat down.

" Ugh.. finally" he grunted as he propped his whole weight on the chair relaxing his head."

"You had kept me waiting for so long" he said after a brief minute if silence.

"Am sorry, something came up" she apologized" turning her face to meet his.

"Care to explain?"

" You know the lady that had......"She began narrating what had happened.

She sigh, locking her gaze with his after explaining. His expression was readless.

" You don't have any thing to say?"

"Anything like? Kissing you?

"Huh?..kissing...me..? that's not a nice thing to say. You know, I expected you to perhaps feel sorry for her not......." She trailed off blinking her eyes severally. Her face flushed pink.

"You're one hell of a woman" Cole chuckle fixing his seat belt.

"You've told me that before" Tracy snapped.

"Oh, I have? Then how about this?.

"What? She asked confused.

" This" he said again smacking his lips leaning forward.

She inhale his musky smell swallowing hard as her eyes took in his masculine features. His hard set jaw, his lip, his cold dark eyes which was no longer cold but emit something else.

In a swift moment his lips came down on hers, claiming her.
