Chapter 20: A Pen Against The Sword

Demi went into the manor ecstatic, his aura brightened up the hallway as he made his way to the family's dining room. The boy swayed his arms, and bopped his head along the tune he was making, his dark hair bouncing while his lips formed into a small smile.

His aunt, Rose, followed behind him as her mind drifted off from reality.

Rose's eyebrows furrowed, the Crown Prince treated her differently today from the day they met. He was cold, he was unreadable, but now, he showed his kindness to her, he opened up a bit. His eyes were a blind man's eyes but there was a hint of joy earlier. He perked up like a child when Demi accepted his request. Did he have the same childhood Demi is having?

"Auntie!"

She looked behind her and noticed she went past the dining room, "Yes?"

"Are you alright?" Demi asked, his brow raised. Rose nodded, she made her way to the room at a slow pace. "You don't seem like it, auntie."
