The soldiers in control

(The ending where he lives)——

Around ten minutes later we found ourselves out of the woods and he set off again to where the others were.

But five minutes later Hook had started slowing down. I knew even with my encouragement we wouldn't make it there like this. But I also knew him and he wasn't gonna stop until we reached everybody even if it killed him.

"Hook stop I'll carry you. You need to rest." I got off and he turned back to his human form. And fell to the ground. I just caught him before he hit the ground. I wrapped his arms around my neck and put him on my back. Then once he was comfortable on my back I started jogging. I could feel Hook's head rest on my shoulder.

"Hook stay with me, ok? I love you, Hook" I said in a whisper for only he would hear. His head was limply resting on my shoulder.

Once we got to the hidden base. Elodie was waiting outside with a hand on her hip, her dark brown hair half up in a clip as her ears kept twitching and moving listening for us and for others. She saw us and ran up to us and took Hook from me. Others came up from the base and came to check on me and Hook. Elodie left with Hook as he was her brother and Christina came to check on me.

"Kid you ok?" She was looking up at me with concern. I nodded and tried following Elodie but Christina grabbed my arm with her strong grip. She shook her head and and I nodded.

"Kid you need sleep. I'll come get you when he wakes up. Ok?"

I nodded again realizing that she was right and I did need sleep.

I trudged to my shared room with Hook and just plopped down without taking my boots off. I just fell asleep, not caring how uncomfortable I was in my gear and leg.

Elodie's POV

Me and the medical team went off with Hook, who was bleeding profusely. I had tried to keep calm but as soon as Sierra came up to me looking at me with concern I broke down in front of her. Nico had been called down and ran up to me and engulfed me in a hug. Sierra joined in on the hug even though she doesn't like hugs. Nico has silent tears streaming down his face and I'm sobbing. First Nica, now Hook what was the world not going to take away from us. We broke a part and I propped myself just outside Hook's room and waited. Sierra had left saying she had to go check to see if any of the other groups got back ok. And Nico plopped down cross-legged next to me on the floor. I knew it would be awhile till Jess and her medical team would let us in. But I was ok with that as long as the outcome was him being better and alive. So we waited.
