A/N: Louisa is the only oc in this chapter that belongs to my friend. She is an Ares demi-god. There will be a second part to this that will be named The start of plan "Rescue Conner".
Conner's POV:
This wasn't my fault.
This wasn't my fault.
This wasn't my fault.
I didn't see them, they always surprise us. And my plan was perfect. My strategy was perfect. But everyone was everywhere and I couldn't get them to listen. Louisa wouldn't listen.
They snuck up on me.
Louisa has to have noticed, why didn't I fight back? I'm so freaking defenseless.
Looking around frantically in the large black van trying to find some way out of this damn car, but again like twenty minutes ago there still was nothing and no way out. Being bound in this rope was starting to get uncomfortable and the stinky gag made me sick to my stomach and gave me a headache. It was useless to spit it out, I already tried.
They had just grabbed me from behind and knocked me out, which was also a factor in my headache, which was the most annoying thing.
The van soon stopped, I could tell we were pretty far off any public roads or paths. It sounded and felt different, my suspicions were confirmed when they grabbed me and my face made contact with a gravel road. Blood immediately gushes down my face from my nose but they pulled me inside without any concern for it.
They strapped me to a long metal table, a person clad in all white came forward with a long syringe and quickly injected some type of drug into my system from my neck. I fell unconscious within seconds.
Louise's POV:
The pesky humans retreated, it was a shame how my disgust for my own kind was so strong now. For how quickly they left gave me an uneasy feeling which frustrated me and that made me angry, victory is supposed to feel good. Nonetheless, we celebrated which brought to light the missing short and clever boy I called my boyfriend. It made me feel crazy beyond words so I looked everywhere.
I couldn't find him. Panic settled in my gut as the uneasy feeling came back, this time ten-fold.
"He probably went to see where they're based and had no time to say anything," Elodie, our camp leader spoke with a shrug and a voice of reassurance. I felt the urge to punch her as I was filled with anger but reluctantly restrained knowing it wouldn't be too helpful, damn Conner is sorta rubbing off on me. I couldn't lose control of my anger, not with him missing.
I continued to look everywhere, threatening both Ari, a Zeus demi-god who also shared the cabin with Conner and me, and Sierra, a Hades Demi-god who wasn't much help as she was swamped in helping the medical team with the injured campers.
Both couldn't help me, even after I threatened them with a knife to their throats. Which in turn made me even angrier.
By nightfall, there was still no trace of him. I was pulled back to the demi-god cabin by the others, so I angrily slept without him in, our bed which was usually filled by me. But without him, it felt empty.
Elodie's POV:
I jolted awake to banging on the cabin door so I slowly extracted myself from the sleeping form of my girlfriend, Laura, and went to open the door. Lance, a fairy, was at the door looking disheveled and exhausted. He was a part of our scouting team, they looked for more supernatural who were either kidnapped from our camp or captured in general, he volunteered for it. Most of the teams reported to me about anything big.
"Lance, what's wrong? It's like 5 am," I stepped out of the cabin with a yawn and closed the door behind me as I put my arms out to steady him, he seemed to be swaying.
"Kidnapped... saw Conner," he slumped into my arms, passing out from exhaustion.
I picked him up and went straight to the medical tent in the middle of camp my eyes widening in concern as now I know I have a kidnapped camper, which his girlfriend might just kill someone if she finds out, and I have a passed-out fairy in my arms. Dawn and her team are already set up for the day, bringing to attention that it's early morning and they definitely need to be praised more for being awake this early all the time.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Louise wandering around looking again for Conner. "Louisa come over here!" I shouted to get her attention I could see her huff in frustration and run over.
"What do you want?" She asked rather bluntly with a hint of impatience.
"Lance just got back," she nodded and raises her eyebrows conveying to me that it was obvious, "and he saw Conner."
Her eyes narrowed and I could tell she was definitely interested now as she followed me into the tent as I placed Lance down on a cot.
Louisa's POV:
We had to wait two full days for Lance to even be able to speak, something about fairy's taking a long time to recoup energy, and by that time I was practically fuming with anger which always masked my fear. Once he was able to I pressed impatiently for answers with Elodie and most of the demi-god cabin also eager to know.
"Explain what the hell you saw, Lance," Elodie gave me a warning look at my tone but I could give a fuck. He faced me and was quiet for a long time, too long, but I allowed him to get his thoughts in order.
"I was flying back to camp empty-handed as I found absolutely nothing new when I saw a big compound-type building and a black van pulling up. A group of humans pulled someone out of it and I realized it was Conner, he looked a little banged up though. I had hidden until everything was clear and rushed back as fast as I could, it's about three days away by flying," it all came out in a quick flush of words, I paid attention to every single bit but my anger was again raising.
"When can you fly again?" I asked impatiently ready to kick the doors down and save him now.
His face went slightly pink in embarrassment, "my wings won't be ready to fly for another three days because I pushed them so hard." My eye widened and my heart sank, thinking of all the things they could be doing to him, none of them pleasant.
"What that's annoying and not surprising with our awful luck," Sierra spoke up her voice laced with annoyance, I punched her in the face causing her to stumble back and all the grass under our feet wilted as the shadows loomed over us, sending a shiver down my back. She grabbed her sword and just took a step forward. When Dawn seemed to appear out of nowhere and she stood in between us.
"If your gonna fight... TAKE IT OUT OF MY TENT!" She motioned toward the exit with one of her hands and sipped out of her mug. I nod with a grunt knowing she won't take shit from either of us. Sierra looked at me with a slight glare before I could see her let it go and turn her back on me to get an ice pack, which filled me with even more anger so I stormed out.
Conner's POV:
Something ice-cold started raining down on me causing me to jolt awake. It took me longer this time to realize what was happening and that it was just water. It was getting harder and harder to think clearly from non-stop torture and hyperthermia slowly creeping up on me. The freezing water is what they turn on first and I feel it all day until they've left for the night though it felt like an eternity it was probably only a few hours. Then it was the weird array of drugs that I knew were messing up my body's system.
"Morning Abomination," the man sneered in his very annoying voice and slapped me across the face, hard. I could hardly feel it from how numb I was, which I know is bad. I looked around hating the stupid wet blindfold that covered my eyes.
"You know I'm human to right dumbass?" I know I shouldn't taunt but it's the only thing I feel in control of, my comment earned another harsh slap across my face.
"Just for that brat, I think you're gonna have fun today," the others in the room laughed and I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach as I heard heavy footsteps go to the other side of the room then everyone left. I sat there confused for the next few minutes as nothing happened till something crawled up my leg.
My blood ran cold and I sat there frozen as the seconds past trying not to believe it.
My screams filled the room moments later.
