Chenier himself had driven them in a neutral car to Romain´s new shelter. The place was distant about thirty kilometers from the previous one, in the outskirts of a medium size town. The building was very small and was in a fairly unpopulated area. The house consisted of two rooms with a very large kitchen and a somewhat rudimentary bathroom.
“This does not have the comforts of the previous shelter but will fulfill its function. You can buy food in a grocery store two blocks away. Come Michel, I will take you now so that you get acquainted with the place.”
The three men had had light lunches and even brewed coffee.
"Well," said Chenier, stretching his long body in the worn armchair. "Now I need you to tell me absolutely all the details of this strange story to let figure out against what we are fighting.”
