How She Kept The Darkness Away

I rush to the hospital, park my car and sneak passed the guard. I go to Lara's room and lay down next to her. I don't say anything I just hold her hand and cry for a while. 


"Everyone gave up on you Lara", I say between shakey breaths and I need to stop for a while I need to stop and take a deep breath before I continue. 


"They gave up on you but I didn't, there's a 3% chance and I want to hang on to that. It's what's keeping me alive.I love you Lara, I want to marry you, I want to start a life and grow a family with you. We will have a small little princess and she will have her mom's brown hair and ocean blue eyes. I want a small you Lara... 


"We will get married and go away to the best island in the whole wide world because I know how much you love them. Why don't you see how much I love you Lara?
