Two Month's Bet

Standing in front of the Senkaimon were Ichigo, Chad, Ishida, Tatsuki, Orihime, Yoruichi (in her cat-form), and Mamako, who was tightly hugging her son, Masato.

Today was the time when they would be living Soul Society and go back to the real world.

Though everyone was surprised to hear that Masato would be staying back for two months, and some even wanted to ask the reason for such a decision.

But, of course, Masato said the same thing he told the captains.

It was not like he was not willing to tell them, but he thought it was way too much work to explain everything. And it was not like he was obliged to tell them the reason for his every decision.

The only one who knew the reason for his staying back in Soul Society was Mamako, who would have definitely stayed with him if his reason was only training.

In fact, she even offered herself to train him. After all, she was now a demi-servant with the experience of Minamoto no Raikou.

She definitely had more experience in fighting and swordsmanship than Masato.

But Masato also denied her. First, he was sure that if she stayed behind then his training wouldn't be only training his sword, but also training HIS sword.

Second, if anything did happen in Soul Society, then with his skills, he was sure that he would be able to run away fairly easily but the same could not be said about Mamako.

Even though she was strong and might rival Yamamto in a fight, the eccentricity of Zanpakuto shouldn't be ignored.

So, he asked her to go back with others. Of course, she didn't listen so he had to give her a lot of cuddles, hat pats, and some steamy kisses for her to go back willingly.

Others did have much problem with him staying here, so they didn't ask him much.

Though Yoruichi had some questions, she decided not to ask until he came back. It sounded like she was raising a flag and Masato might not come back for some time…

Anyway, after a long session of hugging Masato, Mamako finally separated herself from him and left Soul Society with the others.

Seeing them leaving, Masato had a feeling that he wouldn't be seeing them for some time but before such a feeling could be ignored, his system gave him a prompt at the worst timing he could imagine.

'Fuck… this skill will make me paranoid at this rate.'

Even though he was worried, he didn't fully believe the skill itself. Due to its low level, it wouldn't give him an accurate future but something misty.

But he still wondered what would stop him from meeting others for some time.

'It's not like I would be suddenly summoned into another world-'

'Hahaha… fuck me…'

He gripped his head with sweat trickling down his forehead.

'WTF! Another world?! How? Why? Who? I mean, I thought no one should be able to summon a person into another world… wait… is it going to be Isekai'ed? I don't remember such a plot existing in Bleach!'

While he was gripping his head and shaking it constantly, the Shinigami at his side was weirdly looking at him, wondering what happened to him.

"Masato-san… are you alright?"

Startled, hearing the sound of Ukitake, Masato came out of his inner thought crisis and looked towards him and smiled.

"I am alright, Ukitake-san. Don't worry, I was just thinking about something."

Ukitake nodded and didn't ask anything about it, instead he said, "Since Kurosaki-san and others have already left, I think you should go and meet Captain Unohana. Accordingto the conditions, she will be taking care of you till your stay here in Soul Society."

"What?!" Masato looked at him in astonishment before pointing towards the black-haired girl at some distance and said, "I am not living with my wife?!"

"F-fool! Who is your wife?!" With her shout came a kick towards him that was, as usual, blocked by his Shield.

The attacker could only grip her foot while glaring towards him with tears in her eyes.

"Are you still denying the reality, my wife? Have you forgotten how you were clinging to my chest like some toddler looking for his mother's titty milk at the top of Sōkyoku Hill?"

Rukia's eyes widened and an extreme blush took over her face. Remembering her embarrassing behavior, she pointed her finger at Masato but no word came out of her mouth except, "You…!"

Gasp* Masato looked at her in disbelief and said, "You…?! Are you Chinese!?"

Looking at their flirting behavior, other male Shinigami felt like someone was slapping them on their faces over and over, telling them that this place was not for their single asses.

They could only stare at Masato with jealousy, envy, and hate.

Only if they knew that these two months would be enough to shatter their maiden heart.

Seeing that she was about to cry if he teased her further, he went close to her and hugged her from behind.

His head resting on her flustered girl's shoulder as he gently said, "Say, Rukia… are you still not accepting my feelings?"

Rukia's body stopped for a second before she relaxed but didn't reply right away.

While she was silent, Masato was enjoying the feeling of her back. Thankfully, no one was able to tell, not even Rukia (who was in her own thoughts). Otherwise, he might be given a title of pervert that he was not…

"But we can't… can't do things like that… before marriage…"

"Hm?" Hearing her whisper, Masato smiled, "Then cuddles and kisses are allowed?"

Rukia didn't reply. Well, it was not her fault. After all, even though she acted tomboyish most of the time, she was just a girl who never had such experience in her life.

Most of the time, she would just use violence to hide her embarrassment. Normally, it would work but that doesn't seem to be the case with Masato.

Not only none of her attacks would reach him, but he would even move more persistently.

She could only remain quiet, at the mercy of Masato's hand like a rabbit in a lion's den.

"This bastard…"

"I really want to be in his place… seriously… I've been single for the past century now…"

Finally realizing that she was not in private but in front of other people, Rukia's brain circuit finally started to work as she hurriedly escaped from Masato's hug and ran away.

Looking at her running away, Masato nodded to himself while imagining patting his back.

Ukitake shook his head and could only leave with his members.

Rangiku was lying on a couch in her captain's office while staring at the crystal-like stone in her hand.

Whenever she looked at this stone, her mind would always wander back to the time when Masato ravaged her openly in prison.

Just thinking about it made her body hot and her snatch slightly wet.

But even though she enjoyed that feeling, she still can't decide whether to invite Masato or not. After all, even though she wanted it, her conscience was not ready for such a thing.

It was a contradictory feeling, her brain wanted her to think rationally while her heart wanted her to invite him already.

Sigh* "Should I?" She questioned herself while staring at the stone when the door of the room burst open, startling her.

"Masamoto… what are you doing?"

Hearing the annoyed voice of her captain, she sheepishly scratched her head, "Hahaha… I was just tired, Captain."

Toshiro looked at the stacks of papers lined up on his desk as his temple twitched.

"But all the papers are still there, not even touched once… you were slacking off again?" He glared at her, making her twitch.

"No, captain!" She denied, "I was conserving my energy!"

Toshiro already had a '#' mark on his forehead and he looked at her and shouted, "That is what we call slacking off!"

"Sigh* Forget it." Walking to his desk, he sat on it before asking, "... how is the condition of Hinamori?"

Rangiku became silent for a second before she replied, "... she still has not come out of the shock that Aizen has betrayed us. She still thinks that we are lying to her."

Toshiro's face became ugly, hearing her. His fists were clenched tightly. He wondered what kind of brainwashing Aizen did to her, making her like this.

It has already been two days but she still believes that they were lying to her and Aizen would never betray Soul Society.

If things kept going like this, Toshiro might have to think about erasing her memories about Aizen altogether. He didn't want his childhood friend to become fanatical of the enemy of Soul Society.

He didn't want her to end up doing something unforgivable.

He massaged his head and whispered, "Aizen…"

---

"This will be your room till your stay here in Soul Society. It has all the necessary things, if there is something else you require then you can ask me."

In front of Masato were a normal room in all senses with only a single bed, a table, a shelf, a window, and a bath.

The floor was made up of wood and so was the whole room. It gave him the feeling of a Japanese-style room.

From outside of his window, he could see the whole view of the 4th division.

Judging from the position, if his guess is not wrong, then his room should be quite close to Unohana's. It seems that she is taking it quite seriously, about monitoring him.

"I appreciate all your efforts, Isane-san."

Isane nodded before saying as she was leaving, "Then please visit Captain once you are free."

Masato walked into his room after Isane left and looked around before raising his finger, he started to create different barriers around his room.

After completely deploying the barriers, he went and sat on the chair that was placed near the table and sighed, relaxing his body.

A couple of minutes later, he raised his hand and a book appeared in it.

The book was normal, with nothing noteworthy about it. After all, it was really a normal book. Just that his normal book contained a method to refine one bloodline and make it purer, letting the person reach his roots.

Remember, human roots date back to Adam and Eve. But as time went on, the bloodline became more and more mixed.

Masato examined the book for some time before opening it. Again, there was no special method described in it to make him superhuman or anything.

Only a single breathing pattern, and a method to refine one's bloodline.

Masato hurriedly read through the breathing pattern and the method to refine the blood before closing the book.

He looked outside of the window to see that it was already dusk, making the sky look orange in color.

'Hm, I spent a lot of time reading and understanding the method… I forgot that I need to talk with Unohana.'

He wanted to start his training to reach his roots or origin, but he thought he would do it after his talk with Unohana.

After all…

"There is no hurry. It's not like I would disappear today."

Standing up, he left his room while taking the Gods that his system didn't give him any skill level-up prompt.

He might not leave his room otherwise.

Knock* Knock*

Unohana was sitting on her desk while looking at the reports when she heard her door being knocked. Sensing the presence outside, she placed the papers down before asking Masato to enter.

The door opened and Masato entered her room. Instead of looking at her, his eyes darted everywhere in the room, checking it.

Her room was exactly like his, except with the addition of a workbench.

Unohana ignored his rude behavior and smiled, "I've been waiting for you, Masato-kun. I thought you would not come today."

Masato scratched his head, "Sorry, I was busy with some stuff that I forgot to check the time."

Unohana looked curious hearing him as she asked, "What could it be that made you forget checking the time? Were you training?"

"Ma, something like that." Masato didn't deny and nodded.

Unohana nodded before she invited him for a seat in front of her.

After he sat, she offered him a cup of tea that Masato also didn't deny and started to drink.

"It is not bad, in fact, it is quite good."

"Thank you." Unohana nodded with a smile while also taking a sip out of her cup. After a certain silence, she looked at Masato before asking, "What is your real purpose of staying in Soul Society, Masato-kun?"

Masato was not surprised that she asked such a question as he had already guessed the reason for this meeting.

Don't look at her delicate and young appearance. Unohana was someone who had been alive before the creation of Gotei 13. She has lived in the era of pure madness where people would kill someone for the smallest of grief.

It a really ironic if one thing is that today Soul Society is known as the place where souls are sent to live a peaceful life.

It was Heaven of this world, in a sense.

Being alive for such a long time, Unohana has seen everything that this world has to offer. If she was not able to tell that there was an ulterior motive for Masato staying here, then that would be laughable indeed.

"What do you mean, Unohana-nee-san? I am just an innocent bystander who wants to become strong enough to protect his loved ones."

"Innocent bystander?" Unohana giggled seeing his innocent face and said, "Please don't joke around, Masato-kun. Or do you think that Gotei 13 is filled with idiots?"

Masato shrugged his shoulders, "Depends on which captain you are talking about."

Unohana nodded, not denying that there were indeed some idiotic captains.

"Then will you tell us? Or do you need me to use some forceful methods?"

Just as her voice fell, the temperature also fell with it. The atmosphere became heavy all of sudden but neither Masato nor Unohana were affected by it.

They both calmly took one sip after another.

"Forceful method? Heh!" Masato smirked, "If we were to talk about how stronger you are in terms of wielding a sword, then you might defeat me, Unohana-nee-san. But if you think I am just a fish on a chopping board, then I might have to ask you to change such an evaluation of mine from your head… lest you don't know when you are dead."

Unohana's hand that was holding the cup trembled when she looked into the rainbow-colored eyes of Masato that sent a chill down her spine. It was enough to make her wet out of excitement.

This motherly-looking woman might be the biggest pervert in Soul Society. That had fun in spilling the guts of people.

"But…" Masato suddenly interrupted her euphoric state of almost slashing him, "As I've said before, my purpose of staying here (indeed) includes you, Unohana-nee-san."

Calming her emotions down, she again reverted back to her motherly looks and asked, "What do you mean?"

"It is exactly as I've said, I want you, Unohana Retsu."

"Huh?" His direct confession caught Unohana in surprise. She looked at him before asking, "You want me? I don't quite understand what you mean, Masato-kun."

"It is as I've said, I want you…" Masato looked at her with a smile, "In a literal sense. I want you to become my woman, Unohana Retsu."

"..."

The silence filled the room as Unohana looked at Masato with surprise, confusion, and amusement.

In her whole 2000+ years of life, it was the first time someone had the guts to confess to her. She was quite not ready for this if she must say: she was caught off-guard.

"Pfff~," After some time, Unohana suddenly started to giggle while hiding her lips.

Masato calmly sipped the tea while enjoying the beauty in front of him.

"You want to marry me then? You sure talk big, little boy." She looked at Masato that looked way more pleasing to eyes than before and asked, "Then what will you do if I say no? Will you leave Soul Society?"

"No way, my pride would not allow No for an answer, Unohana-nee-san."

It was true. It was something that Masato found out after obtaining his Zanpakuto that he had this pride welling up inside him since then.

At first, it was not much of a problem to him. But it soon became something that he could not ignore easily - to the point that it even affected his decisions to a certain extent.

If Masato was not wrong, then according to The Gamer language, it was what people called a hidden trait.

Something that a Gamer had since the beginning but was blocked by something.

He could only say that it was the Zanpakuto that acted as a trigger.

"Then will you kidnap me, or maybe force yourself upon me?" There was barely hidden killing intent when she said the last words but it didn't tickle Masato in the least.

"You are wrong, Unohana-nee-san." Masato shook his head while looking at the reflection of himself in the cup, "When I said my pride wouldn't allow it, it didn't mean that I would force myself on you or anything. I still want to live a little more."

"What I wanted to say was that you wouldn't even have a chance to say no."

Unohana looked amused. She gauged Masato from up and down. In her eyes, he looked like a kid.

Not her fault, she was someone who could be called his grandmother's grandmother and that was still not enough to explain her complete age.

So she was amused that such a little kid had so much courage to talk like this to her. She is aware that Masato knows about her past - after all, he had called her by her last name before - it was even more amusing when she thought about it.

"And why is that?"

Finally finishing the tea, he placed the cup back on the table as Unohana, with a gentle smile on her face, refilled the cup.

Thanking her, he again took a sip before suggesting, "How about we make a bet, Unohana-nee-san?"

"A bet?" Unohana prompted him to continue. At this point, she was quite interested in what Masato would do.

"In two months of time, I'll defeat you in nothing but pure swordsmanship." Masato said as he looked at the astonished face of Unohana, "If I do so, then you will become my wife."

"Defeat me with a sword only?" Her eyes became exceedingly dangerous as she stared at Masato and said, "Very well. If you are able to defeat me in a sword fight, then I don't mind being your wife, Masato Ootsuki."

"But are you sure? You fought with the whole Soul Society for Kuchiki Rukia, no? And now you are chasing another woman."

"That… you don't have to worry about it. Just be ready to be my wife after two months of time."

"Then I am eagerly waiting…" with a small smile, Unohana said as her hands itched to slice Masato right away.

---

'That was tiresome…'

Slumping back to his bed, Masato said. He couldn't find any other method to make Unohana have a relationship with him, so he used the simplest one he had in mind.

Unohana was one of his favorite characters from Bleach, no way he was going to back down in having her in a relationship with him.

But it still tired him mentally while talking to her.

'Now my next two months are only going to be dungeon diving or refining my bloodline it seems.'

'Master…'

Hearing Est's voice, he asked if there is something that she needs.

'No… I was just wondering if the Master is a skirt chaser.'

'... Est… where did you learn that term?'

'My previous Master had a lot of skirt chasers. She always complained about it.'

After some time, Masato answered, 'Listen Est, your Master is quite different from skirt chasers. While skirt chasers only think with their lower half, your Master still uses his brain sometimes.'

'So… Master is a skirt chaser with a brain?"

'Uhhh… no… Master is a handsome man to whom women can't help but fall in love with. You are still a child Est, you will eventually understand such things.'

'But I am not a child…'

Masato completely ignored her last sentence and closed his eyes before drifting to sleep.
