Going Back Home

The next morning, Khalid woke up to an empty bed. At first, he thought that Amira went out for some fresh air and thought nothing of it. As he looked around the cave, he started noticing little things.

There was food near the fireplace, a scroll rested upon the makeshift stool that was located near the bed. The more his eyes moved around, the more aware he became of Amira's missing things. No clothes were hanging around in the corner, nor shoes resting near the door.

He sat up abruptly feeling a dreadful premonition in his heart. Khalid looked around more carefully but he ended up noticing more missing things. He wasn't ready to let her go yet. She didn't even say goodbye. He opened the cave and walked outside, hoping to find her beautiful face.
