Backlash

Warda screamed. She felt it. The curse being sliced away excruciatingly slowly. She could feel it for she hosted it. As the one who gave the curse, when it was broken by anyone else other than her, the backlash was inevitable.

She fell back on her bed. Hands and legs flaring in the air like a chicken being slaughtered. Since the curse was forcefully removed, it went back to its origin more fears and stronger.

Her screams filled the air as they slowly sipped into her body. This was the thing she has been warned about. Mariam had asked her several times before she made it happen.

She watched Warda suffer the same fate she suffered decades ago. She had known all along that when a hybrid and a Jinn were fated for each other, nothing could separate them. Not even death.
