Twin Soul

It was hard to look at him but she did. Seeing him in a peaceful slumber eased the anxiety she had been carrying all along.

The Seer caressed his face, imprinting his features into her brain. He was the best there was out there and no one could refute it.

Her lips pecked his shoulder blade and neck. She let her nose dig into the croak of his neck taking in his scent.

Her beloved meant the world to her. This was her way of affirming her decision. She couldn't let him die.

What she didn't know was that in her quest to make a sacrifice, she was not only endangering her life but also his.

Maybe if Lahan had informed her before the event, she could avoid it. Avoid losing the piece of him that he selflessly gave her.

It was quite sad really. She only sorts to save them and might end up killing him with her hands. Once she was content with her interaction with him, she walked away.
