The Battlefield

She was tired. Her sword was drenched in blood. Each part of her body ached. When she could no longer take it, she made a decision that may cost her life. 

She only hoped that it wouldn't be too late. Laying on the ground, she let her body relax completely. The ground beneath her began to shake. 

Since she was in hell, it was the coldness of the ice that sunk into her bone. Maybe if she was in Arif's palace, she would have been burnt down to nothing. 

Fortunately, she could endure the cold. She had been subjected to it once. Unlike her, the hood of demons coming her way were caught unguarded. 

Since they were made out of the fire, ice was naturally an enemy to their existence. She wasn't completely immune to it though. 

The higher the ice rose, the more she shivered in its midst. This was a young girl embracing the true nature of her beloved. At that moment, his betrayal didn't matter.
