A stranger's Warmth

Sidra woke up feeling groggy and exhausted to the bone. Her body was still warm. Fortunately, it wasn't as excruciating as before.

She could feel a heartbeat close to her and a cool body against hers. She didn't want to open her eyes but couldn't continue sleeping too.

Something was wrong with her body. Her eyes were flooded with all the tears that were threatening to fall. Her lips wobbled, a sob on the verge of emergence.

She didn't want to let go of the person whose body she was clinging to. However, she needed answers. It was with great difficulty that she detached her head from his cool chest to have a glimpse of him.

Muntaha held his breath afraid of what he would see in her eyes. This wasn't how he wanted things to go. He just wanted company but not like this.

Never like this. Especially not after he found out the possibility of who she was for him. He could feel her eyes on his closed lead. She was silently urging him to look at her.
