The God Of Malevolence

Master's form as a wooden puppet had me confused.

("What's going on?") [Solace]

Just then, a bright light appeared between Master and Jukhan.

"Oh how boring…" [???]

A female voice echoed out from the light. I could feel her empowered voice from the great distance I was, and could even hear it clearly.

"Who are you?!" [Jukhan]

He yelled so loudly that even the light was blown away, revealing a young woman floating on a black scythe.

("...Wow.") [Solace]

The young woman was very attractive in my eyes. She had long white hair, decorated with side braids pinned together with a gold item shaped like a skull. Her clothing was a bit revealing. Gloves that didn't cover her fingers, a top that revealed her shoulders and stomach, leggings that barely went up her knees, and shorts that didn't cover her thighs. I was pretty distracted.

"How rude…" [Young Woman]

She looked down on Jukhan with golden eyes, but he didn't even bat an eye. Matter of fact, I think he took it as a challenge.

"Those eyes… You're a god." [Jukhan]

"That I am." [Young Woman]

She then turned to Master.

"It's been a long time." [Young Woman]

"Indeed it has. How have you been, Hema?" [Vincent]

The god snickered.

"Better than you." [Hema]

The wooden puppet shrugged.

"I'd like to ask what the almighty God of Malevolence is doing here?" [Vincent]

The god crossed her legs and leaned forward with an amused expression.

"Finding entertainment." [Hema]

"Was my fight what you've been looking for?" [Vincent]

The god smiled.

"It was sufficient." [Hema]

She peered towards my direction. I could've sworn our eyes met, but it was hard to tell from how far I was.

"You've picked up another disciple?" [Hema]

"I have." [Vincent]

"Then things may finally become fun." [Hema]

The god lifted a hand. It was then that I realized the piece of land Nakros and I held onto was getting pulled closer.

"In any case, your fight has drawn the attention of many gods. What happened to retiring?" [Hema]

"...I tried." [Vincent]

The god let out a light chuckle.

"Then someone will have to take your place. Isn't that correct, fourth?" [Hema]

She then looked at me.

"...Is she talking to me?" [Solace]

I whispered to Nakros for confirmation.

"I'm not su-" [Nakros]

"Yes, I am speaking to you." [Hema]

My eyes widened when I heard her voice in my head. I would say that it didn't catch me off guard since I'm used to hearing the spirit guide, but it was a whole different experience since I didn't see the god's lips move.

"Wh… What do you need from me?" [Solace]

Though I was capable of speaking, it was strangely difficult to let my voice come out.

"Warning: A higher being is attempting to look into your status. Casting |Appraisal Resistance|." [Spirit Guide]

("Huh?") [Solace]

"Warning: A higher being has activated |Divine Vision|. |Appraisal Resistance| failed." [Spirit Guide]

The god smirked.

"You have quite the amount of titles. Unfortunately, none of them are |True Titles|." [Hema]

The god scratched her chin while pondering something.

"Here, I'll do you a favor." [Hema]

Lifting a single finger, I heard the spirit guide alert me.

"Alert: The God of Malevolence has granted you the title |Promised Seedling|." [Spirit Guide]

At this point, I was pretty confused.

("|Analyze|.") [Solace]

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Name: |Promised Seedling|

Description: A |True Title| granted by the God of Malevolence. It gives the user affinity to misdeeds. This title may be evolved.

Effects: Vitality will be given to the user the more they worsen the situation for themselves.

Reading that, I was left speechless.

("The hell is this?") [Solace]

I looked at the god with confusion.

"What have you done, Hema?" [Vincent]

"Nothing much. In any case, I have a proposal for Mr. Trapped-In-A-Demon-Lord's-Basement." [Hema]

Though the wooden puppet had no face, I could tell it was annoyed.

"It's not a basement." [Vincent]

"Whatever you say." [Hema]

She then turned to Jukhan.

"Then there's you…" [Hema]

She looked him up and down before speaking.

"As you are right now… I don't think you'll be having a real match with Vincent any time soon." [Hema]

Jukhan let out a grunt of dissatisfaction.

"How about picking up a disciple? Maybe you can have them kill Vincent's disciple to prove you're a better teacher?" [Hema]

("Ayo?!") [Solace]

Jukhan froze for a second.

"Hm." [Jukhan]

Letting only that sound out, he vanished alongside a flash of thunder. It was also when the floating pieces of the valley started to drop.

"Uh-oh." [Nakros]

We plummeted downwards.

"Need a ride?" [Hema]

Falling down with a look of glee, Hema stared at us through our protective dome.

"If you would be so kind." [Nakros]

Hema replied with a cheerful smile.

"Have a nice fall." [Hema]

Uttering those last words, she vanished.

("...This brings a whole new meaning to god damn.") [Solace]
