Childish Emperor

Today Xian had been acting weird. He stopped being persuasive after having some secret conversation with the Empress.

All I know about it was the Empress is gonna go home and keep an eye on my beloved sister secretly along with her trustworthy servants that doesn't follow the Empress Dowager's ways.

I was glad and really thankful about it. I permanently forgot what my sister had done to me because of the current emergency. No matter what happens I won't let anyone that follows the Empress Dowager touch even a hair on my beloved sister.

Now back to the topic. Xian was sitting far away from me. There was this frown in his face that was almost permanent since his expression was like that after the two of them talked about something he won't tell. It's not like I'm really curious to know, no way.

I sighed and went back to what I was writing. It was like a bucket list of plans to help overthrow the outcome of the Empress Dowager's evil plans.

The first one was to gather some people on our side which means I have to go around and tell them who I really am in hopes of getting their trust and loyalty. With them it would make the Empress Dowager's a fool for publicly telling something 'blasphemous' as the Empress stated.

Second was to keep gathering intel from inside the palace now that the Empress was gone to keep watch of my beloved sister.

Third, we need to keep an eye on our surroundings to make sure no one is practically watching our backs and reporting secretly to the Empress Dowager. there's only a small chance that this would happen but there's still a chance.

There's more on my lists that I can't really mention as Xian suddenly got up from his seat and went to my side without a word. I let him sat beside me, curiously glancing at him yet he didn't spare me a single glance.

What's wrong with him?.

"Are you not feeling well today?" I asked, unable to take his silence. Xian sighed and leaned his head on the table, placing it above his crossed arms.

"Am I being too persistent?"

I frowned "On what matter?"

"Forcing you to sleep with me" he groaned like a child, tapping his fingers anxiously.

So you really just wanna sleep with me! That's all? What a prick.

"Nope, not at all" I answered in a bored voice and went back to my bucket list.

Xian's mood brightened, a small smile suddenly appearing in his frowning face. The smile was so bright it was blinding.

"Does that mean–"

I looked deep into his eye and he stop mid sentence. "We have a handful of things in our hands, focus on it" I scolded.

Xian nodded in turn and I was contented with that.

How funny, I'm here sitting with the Emperor who's acting like a child and trying to persistently get me to sleep with him for no deeper reason other than probably an itch he can't scratch; well that's my opinion and I want to keep my mindset that way, besides it's not like I want something deeper between us.

That somehow didn't sound convincing at all. I mentally scolded myself at such thought.

"So what should we do today?" I heard Xian ask.

I sighed deeply "work"

"That's all?"

"What else do you wanna do?"

"Something fun!"

Is he for real?

I gave Xian a look that states 'You're high' and I earned a laugh from him.

"Come on now let's go out again" he suggested, putting his hands together infront of me.

"And what about this?" I pointed at the paper or bucket list I had made earlier. Xian pouted and pushed the papers away earning a glare from me.

"Come on it's really boring!"

"No" I stated firmly and made no rooms for argument.

Seriously what is up with this man? Is he really qualified to be the Emperor. I thought grimly as I glance at him for a second.

He had a kicked puppy look that almost made me laugh yet I was also confuse and weirded out at the same time. How irresponsible of him, does all he wanna do is something 'fun'.

I shook my head away from those thoughts and focused on my plans instead.

As I was about to grab the paper that Xian pushed earlier his hand slammed down on the table causing me to flinch.

"What is your problem!?" I hissed.

"You're going out with me!" Xian proudly stated.

"What the heck!??" I glared at him yet he continued to speak.

"As the Emperor I order you to obey"

"That's not how this works!" I argued, getting annoyed with his funny business.

"Well yes, this it how it works" he pointed out and before I could make a comeback he grabbed my arm and pulled me forward making our face barely inches apart.

"And if you say no I'll continue where we left off this morning and make sure to finish it even if you resist" he threatened.

My eyes widened like sauce pans. Am I hearing everything right? Had he lost his mind?

"Y-you..." Xian moved our faces even closer and I could feel his hot breath fanning my face making me gulp audibly, my face turning red.

"Yes or no? Choose" he spoke and I hated how I felt shivers down my spine when his lips softly graze upon mine.

At this point I didn't really have a choice. What happened this morning was too much for me. We were already so close to stripping our clothes off and I don't like to imagine what would've happened if I didn't get my mind back on track. I don't want it to go further than that, it just feels wrong.

I nodded my head in agreement and Xian smiled contently.

"Good, now let's head to the newly opened pub. I heard they sell good booze" he slowly pulled away from me and stood up, fixing the creases on his robe with a happy look in his face.

How annoying.
