Ink told Silvie that they will be leaving within a few days which disappointed her but as Ink said previously, she didn't get clingy. Although she definitely wanted to make use of these few days to go all the way with Ink, unfortunately for her, Ink couldn't afford to show her his scars plus he also didn't feel like going all the way with someone's spy. He had a hard time coming up with an excuse so in the end he just made her completely forget about his clothes by giving her the highest pleasure, after that, he asked Meela and Loris to become a bit more clingy with him and stick to him everywhere so Silvie wouldn't have a chance to ask him for any more.
When it was finally a day for them to leave, everyone from the restaurant made a small feast as a goodbye.
.
.
They went out of the town and started camping a few kilometers away from the town.
"Free food always tastes the best!" Meela said with a satisfied smile while patting her stomach.
"This experience just reminded me how dangerous being a spy or assassin is. Silvie was definitely a spy and possibly even other employees yet they acted completely natural. If it wasn't for that time, I wouldn't have noticed Silvie's small slip-ups. However...this has also shown me how dangerous it is for a spy or assassin to get too close to anyone." Ink said while poking into the campfire with a stick.
"Not true! As long as you keep your guard up, you can get as close to anyone as you want." Loris said with a suggestive smile.
"...Whatever" Ink threw the stick into the campfire and lied down.
They spent a few days in the wilderness before they sneaked into the town right before dawn. They easily sneaked over the massive wall around the local lord's residence and waited for him to come out.
"*Both of you know how he looks, he is our priority but we mustn't spare anyone who spots us. Let's try to end this in an instant without raising any commotion. The plan is to kill him in his garden so if there is a commotion before we can disappear, we will be forced to kill the staff inside the mansion which is just troublesome.*" Ink whispered to the twin sisters who were crouching down next to him.
As Ink finished, 5 men on horses were slowly riding through the garden towards the exit gate.
"*You take care of those 2 muscle brains and I will take care of those 2 spearmen near our target.*" Ink said and draw just an inch of his word from the sheath. The sword looked regular what guards usually used.
"Mm" Loris and Meela nodded with solemn expressions.
"3...2...1...go!" Ink counted off before they rushed towards the target that were only several meters away from them.
"?! Assa-!" The man with a big frame wanted to shout aloud to get the attention of other guards but before he could, his throat was sliced by Meela's knife. The second man with the big frame ended up similar to the first man.
"Protect th-" Two men wielding spears urged their horses to get even closer to the local lord.
*swoosh* Ink's figure appeared in the air with his right hand on his still sheathed sword on the same height level as their bodies.
'Just as Gil taught me...' Ink coldly looked at his targets' frightened faces and his right biceps swelled up more than usual.
*Crack* None of them even saw Ink drawing his sword, they could only hear the sound of the spear snapping into half before the trio's heads slid off their necks.
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Splash*
"We are done, let's quickly disappear from here." Ink threw the sword that had a small crack on it on the ground next to his dead target before running away with Meela and Loris following right after him.
Inside the small and dark alley...
"Well done, you also made sure that no blood gets on your clothes. I am proud to have such a cute capable little sisters" Ink said with a small smile, upon accomplishing their mission.
"Are we still roleplaying?" Loris asked with a confused expression.
"No! It's just him making fun of our height!" Meela said with an upset expression while clenching her fists.
"Then do those words before "little" sisters mean nothing to you?" Ink asked which made both sisters think hard about it.
'"proud", "cute", "capable" hehe' Both of them suddenly started looking into empty space and a wide satisfied smile appeared on their lightly blushing faces.
"W-Well, if you put it that way, we can't be angry at you, right sis?" Meela said with crossed arms while pointing her nose as high as possible.
"Yeah! Looks like even Gloomy can recognize the brilliance of the sisterhood" Loris nodded her head with closed eyes.
"Alright you two, let's leave the town, we will use the other exit so we can't run into Silvie." Ink said as he looked up just to see that the sun was already slowly coming up.
.
.
As the trio left through the gate together with a few more people...
"I can't wait to get back!" Loris complained a bit while stretching her arms.
"Don't complain, we will retur-" Ink intended to reassure her but he stopped once he noticed 2 girls around his age walking towards the town on the same road as them. He noticed one to have strapped high quality looking sheathed blade to her belt and the other one had a pistol strapped to her belt.
'Long black hair with red eyes and an athletic body. Short light brown hair with amber eyes and a curvaceous figure. What a strange combination but we don't have to worry about them as our mission is done here.' Ink thought as he was looking at the girls as they were getting near.
"What is-" Loris wanted to ask why Ink stopped but Meela stopped her with a serious expression before wearing a carefree expression once again.
"..." The trio kept quiet as the girls got near enough for them to hear their conversation.
"I guess we will be staying in this town for the time being, huh?" The black-haired girl said with a light smile while observing the town.
"Those were father's instructions. We can still have some fun there, Akame."
'Akame...huh?' Ink thought that this name was familiar to him but he could hardly remember ever meeting such a person.
As Ink was looking at Akame's face in case he would be able to remember something...
"Hm?" Akame's eyes also wandered and noticed Ink's green eyes looking straight at her. Ink quickly reacted, he smiled brightly and nodded his head as a quick greeting.
"Oh?" The girl responded in kind with a very friendly smile.
They eventually passed by each other but Akame suddenly stopped walking with furrowed brows while looking at the ground, thinking hard about something.
"Akame? What is-" Her friend also stopped and wanted to ask but Akame abruptly turned around to look at Ink's back just to widen her eyes.
"E-Excuse me?!"
'Tch!' Both sisters clicked their tongues as they heard someone calling out to them.
"Yes? Can I help you somehow, lady?" Ink turned around and asked with a natural smile.
"L-Lady?" Akame's friend muttered with a shocked expression even Akame was surprised but she quickly brushed it off.
"A- Are you Shinji? You are...right? You have that small scar on your eyebrows on the right side, you also have the same green eyes and black hair..." Akame muttered with a disbelieving expression.
Ink widened his eyes since he never knew where he got that small scar yet this girl in front of him was calling him Shinji and apparently knew more about his scar than himself.
"Um, you are...?" Ink tried to look as if he couldn't remember her face.
"Akame! I also have a little sister named Kurome! Don't you remember?"
"A-Akame?" Her friend seemed quite surprised by her actions and her behavior.
Ink touched his chin and thought hard.
"Akame...Kurome...Aaah! I know! I can't believe I almost forgot about you two, haha. I apologize." Ink laughed as if he reunited with an old friend but inwardly he was completely confused because he couldn't remember anything. He was now just counting on Akame to talk about "them" more. Even the twin sisters were completely baffled but they just kept quiet.
"It's alright! It's been many years since we were sold off...It's only natural for you to temporarily forget, we were too young back then." Akame replied with a slightly sad smile while looking down.
"Well...I never expected you to grow up into such a beautiful lady." Ink had no idea what to say so he said what usually works with women...a compliment.
"Oh! Akame is being hit on in broad daylight?!" Her friend covered her mouth with a shocked expression.
"?! Tsukushi, it's not like that!" Akame quickly started waving her arms around to deny her friend's words.
"Anyway...You also grew up into a nice gentleman, Shinji. How is everyone doing back in the village? Akame said with a slightly embarrassed smile before asking with a curious expression.
'?! village? I see...that's why I can't remember her. She must have been in the group of children who got sold off to the Empire.'
"Well, I have no idea, I decided to start adventuring a few years ago and I rarely return back but I don't miss my family because I have these two with me!" Ink said before crouching down and pulling Meela and Loris close to him with a merry smile.
"Stop it!" Both sisters blushed and tried to get away from him but they couldn't, their genuine embarrassment only added to the credibility.
"...I have been meaning to ask you who are they...T-They can't possibly be your children, right?" Akame smiled at the sight in front of her before asking with a frightened expression.
"No, no, haha! They are my sisters, of course, we are not related by blood but our love for each other is much stronger than any type of blood relation." Ink said with a wide smile, making both sisters beet red which caused both Akame and Tsukushi to giggle.
"Um...We have some free time, would you like to come with us and talk during the meal?" Akame asked with an inviting smile.
'Shit...What now? Do I accept and try to find out more about my past and those two or should I just come up with an excuse?' Ink thought while looking back at the town where probably was already quite a commotion due to the local lord's assassination.
