"Why, thank you."
Nana's grin grew wider until she remembered something because she looked at the clock on the wall in the kitchen, it was 1 pm.
"Son, can I say something?"
"Uh, yeah, Mom?"
Nana had suddenly served the soup in the pot into a large enough glassware to put on a tray. "You must know that Renji's cousin also has a cousin in this house," he said. Ginnan was listening silently even though his movements of decorating the pancakes with honey were interrupted by it. "His name is Veer, and they have had a romantic relationship in the past."
"Oh, yes..."
Nana looked at every movement of her hands that began to be decorated with a faint tremble. "And I'm guessing . . . you already know their troubles apart from here, don't you?"
"Yes…"
A plate of pancakes was ready, Ginnan couldn't go on without looking into Nana's eyes.
