Kaijo

Kagami's eyes were bloodshot. The idiot stayed awake the whole night from excitement and just lay in bed thinking about the game. Kuroko glanced at his partner and said in a blunt voice, "Kagami-kun, the look in your eyes is worse than usual,"

"Shut up,"

The person sent to greet the team was Kise who blatantly ignored everyone and only spoke to Kuroko. He led them to the gym and the team were confused at the small court they were assigned to play in.

The fat coach of Kaijo basically said that the match was not important enough for them to use the main court and insulted Seirin by looking down on them.

"Just don't let us triple the score," he said.

Everyone was pissed and Riko...she was fuming mad. Kise was adjusting his jersey when the coach told him to sit out since it wouldn't be much of a game if he played considering what a monster Kise was.

The blonde wanted to play and apologised to Seirin before whispering to them, "If you give his guys a good beating, he'll let me in,"

But then he stood back and smirked, "But if you can't even get me to play, you shouldn't go around saying you'll beat the generation of miracles,"

Seirin took the challenge and only a few minutes later, Kagami was holding the basketball rim in his hand.

Kaijo and their coach were shocked. They were not expecting such a thing to happen. Riko apologised to the coach and Kuroko asked to use the main court since they couldn't play half court. Now it was Kaijo's coach's turn to be mad and pissed. He had greatly underestimated Seirin.

The players were moved to the main court and the basketball rims were put down. Kaijo was serious now and Kise was put in. Suddenly, there were screams and squeals coming from outside the gym and many girls were waving and cheering for Kise.

Kasamatsu, the Kaijo captain, ran and kicked the blonde for waving at them. Then he pulled Kise down and whispered to him.

"Do you understand what's going on Kise?" His eyes narrowed; "Who the hell is number 10?"

"Number 10? Oh that's Kagami."

"Kagami? I've never heard of him,"

The red head looked at the two with a scowl. They were making it so obvious that they were talking about him.

"Forget about him." Kise said. In his eyes, Kagami wasn't worth worrying about and instead, he boasted about Kuroko.

"The guy who stole the ball, number 11...That's my teammate from Teiko, Kurokocchi. Isn't he amazing? Right? Right?" Kise gleamed. Kasamatsu frowned and jabbed the model in the stomach. "Ouch,"

"Why are you so happy?" the captain clicked his tongue at his dumb kouhai. He then glanced at Seirin and looked Kise in the eye.

"In any case, they gave us quite the greeting. It'd be rude if we didn't return the favour,"

Kise smirked and took his position on court.

The game began again and Kise ended up copying Kagami's last move and slammed the ball into the rim. Kagami's eyes widened and he realised that Kise's dunk was harder than his. Kise was pleased but his captain was not and kicked him again.

"I told you to break the rim!" Kasamatsu growled. Kise looked him with watery eyes,"Senpaiiii,"

Yui watched the game in her disguise. She wore a black wig paired with a black hoodie and jeans. There were also sunglasses on her face and a mask....yeah Yui wasn't very good with the whole 'disguise' thing. What normal person wears such an outfit to a high school practice game?

Yui thought her disguise was pretty good and didn't notice the suspicious glances thrown her way.

She held a bag with her tightly that contained some blueberry muffins freshly baked. The muffins were to be given to Kise when he lost with a message saying 'Congrats on your first lost'. Just kidding. Yui wouldn't really write that but maybe something similar. This game was important for Kise who learns the meaning of teamwork.

More time had passed by and now, Kagami had figured out that Kise's weakness was his inability to copy Kuroko. Everyone seemed shocked that Kagami indeed had a brain. Kise was surprised but commented that nothing would change.

Yui was snapping photos when her stomach began to grumble.

'Damn, this is what I get for skipping breakfast. I guess I'll grab something to eat.'

She made her way out of the gym to look for a vending machine. As she rounded a corner, her eyes caught a familiar figure walking into the school and she quickly darted back to let the figure pass.

'Ah, I forgot Midorima watches the game.'

The green head walked through the school and scowled when he saw the time on his watch. 'Tsk, that Takao!' Suddenly, he felt someone's gaze on him and looked around. He didn't see anyone. 'Was that my imagination?'

Yui whose back was pressed against the wall, let out a breath. 'That was close. These basketball players have crazy senses.'

She waited for Midorima to leave before walking out.

'Crap, I took longer than expected since I got lost on the way back.' Yui pouted when she returned to the gym. The game was just nearing its end and she arrived just on time to see Kagami slam the ball into the hoop earning a buzzer beater.

The Seirin team cheered loudly while Kaijo was stunned. They...lost. Kise was hit harder since this feeling of defeat was a completely new experience to him. Tears began falling and Yui zoomed the camera in on him to snap a couple shots for blackmail. Heh, what an evil girl.

Kasamatsu kicked him...again. "Idiot. Stop crying," Kise looked at him and Kasamatsu smirked; "You got some balls to say you've never lost before. I'll hit you."

The blonde stared at his captain who continued, "You better add the word 'revenge' to that empty dictionary of yours!" With that, Kise finally lifted his lips into a smile.

The ref called both teams to line up and announced; "With scores of 100 to 98, Seirin High wins!"

The teams bowed to each other and shook hands.

Later, the two captains shook hands and exchanged words while the coaches stood behind. Kaijo's coach was surrounded by a dark aura and had an ugly face whilst Coach Riko was beaming like the sun.

Yui waited outside the locker room for Kise. She knew Midorima was probably talking to him right now so she sat patiently on the floor. Suddenly, a sound of footsteps made her look up and she saw the Kaijo captain with the team behind him walking up to the locker room.

The team spotted the girl and Yui stood up and bowed. "Good afternoon,"

"W-Who are y-you?" It seems Kasamatsu really was bad around girls just like in the story. Any intimidating air he had earlier was long gone as he stuttered at the girl. Yui had yet to take off her mask so the team only saw her eyes.

"She's probably here for Kise. Sorry but no fangirls are allowed here," Kobori said.

"Oh I'm- What's going on?" a voice cut off Yui and the team turned to see Kise walking towards them with his usual happy expression.

"This girl here wants to see you I think," Moriyama said with a jealous look. 'Damn you Kise and your good looks.'

"Is that so?" Kise walked closer to the girl and wore his charming smile. "My apologies miss but maybe I can give you an autograph later,"

Yui's eye twitched. She sighed and took off her mask.

Kise gasped dramatically, "Ehh Yuicchi! It's you!" He grabbed the girl and swung her around in a hug.

"What? You know her?" Kasamatsu asked. He was back to his old self when talking with his annoying kouhai.

"Hai senpai, she went to the same middle school as I and we were friends," Kise said still squashing Yui who was slowly turning blue. "Ki-Kise-kun...can't..breathe,"

The airhead finally noticed Yui's pale face and placed her down gently, "Ahaha sorry Yuicchi,"

"I-it's fine," Yui gasped for air. She straightened up again and gave him the bag of muffins.

"What's this? Oh oh did ya bake me something-ssu?" Kise asked excitedly. He missed the girl's food and dessert.

"It's a congratulatory girt." Yui smirked. The blonde looked confused and his team were no better. "For what?"

"Your first loss," Yui stated in a smug voice. Kise looked lost and was about to cry crocodile tears, "Ehhh, Y-Yuicchi you watched the game?"

"I did...well most of it anyway."

Kise sniffed, "Are you making fun of me? Why are you congratulating me?"

Yui tucked the stray strands of hair behind her ear and began walking away. "Go talk to Kuroko-kun, then you'll understand. You finally learned something important today. Also, I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention to anyone that you saw me. I enjoy the element of surprise. Laters,"

She waved with her back turned and left the corridor. Kise blinked and stared at the muffins in his hands. 'What is she talking about?'

Meanwhile, behind the blonde, his teammates eyed the bag of goodies with hungry eyes.

"Heh, stupid bullies," Yui commented as she watched the primary colours (red, blue, yellow) demolish the street thugs on the court.

Yui took shots of Kagami, Kuroko and Kise playing together and smiled. Kise had gone after Kuroko like in the anime and the two were talking when Kagami interupted. Everything went the same except now, Kise was thinking of Yui's words.

When the blonde departed from the red and blue duo, he began contemplating. 'Winning...is nothing if you're alone huh.'
