The Future

- Three month later....honor city -

"Fresh meat for sale! beef, pork, and chicken! come get them while fresh!"

"Vegetables and fruits for sale! fresh and juicy!"

"Come dine at our phoenix palace! new dishes on the menu!"

Time fly by and the entire city have been transformed as different vendors advertise their products. While other businesses emerge one after another.

This was made possible with the city damage being repaired for two hundred thousand gold and the mess clean up. Daniel had purchased livestocks such as cows, chicken, ducks, and many more. He also bought seeds of different varieties, from vegetables seed, herbs, to fruit tree. Lastly, he gathered essential skill books for the people to learn like cooking skills, animal breeding, and farming techniques.

It turn out he is able to transfer skills to anyone with the system help. Deciding to help those that decided to follow these profession. Daniel would meet them and transfer the skills. This lead to people worshipping him even more.

After setting up the city currency, laws, military, government, and education. Daniel give all the citizens a one time payment of two gold coin to help them kick off their life. As for future wealth, is up to their hard work.

City currency have been break down to copper coin, silver coin, and gold coin. It takes one hundred copper coin to exchange for one silver coin and so forth. The coin are strictly commission to the city treasurer to make and distribute.

Citizens of the city can use their money to buy livestocks, seeds, and everything else they need to either survive or start a business. Shops are also rented out by the new government and can be purchased at a set amount. Land outside of the city also need to be purchased from the government before being clear out for farming, etc.

Everything is regulated and need to go through a set of steps. Anyone caught doing things without the proper paperwork given from the government will be punished by the law. The law is set to not only to keep public order, stop corruption, but also to prevent people from annexing land wantonly.

All of these will be enforce by the ten thousand strong city military directly under Daniel government. As for the rest of his soldiers, he had them station at a newly built fortress that was created to act as a shield for honor city. They built this fortress after finding out the entrance into tutor forest. With drogon ability to fly, Daniel was able to see that the tutor forest is a huge place surrounded by tall mountains with only one way in.

Located to the far west of where honor city is, the journey took a month for the twenty thousand soldiers to complete. Seeing how far it is, Daniel had no choice but to build relay stations along the way for future uses. He don't want to get a report of an invasion a month late. So these relay station will be perfect for messengers to switch horses and rest.

Markus was left in charge of the fortress defense. In that regard, more gold was spent to increase the fortress strength another notch.

During this time of exploration and fortification, more tribes have been found. While any threat was eliminated right away to prevent future troubles.

The government which consists of half summons and half talented individuals that was found in the city have been busy dealing with everything for the past months. This includes the city education system, Daniel has made it clear that child and adults alike need to be educated.

With the gear of change spinning, Daniel have also purchased many scouting units to explore the entire tutor forest on the ground level. Their tasks is to find all of the scattered tribes and invite them to settle in honor city and find more locations of a possible gold mine.

While waiting for the good news, he spends most of the time training himself to be stronger after dealing with city affairs. Since he can't rely on the armor power boost all the time. Purchasing a battle aura skill book, Daniel can now practice to become a strong warrior. Each level of the battle aura will give him a huge power up.

Sitting cross leg in deep meditation at the back courtyard. Daniel who is half naked have a golden aura surrounding him which gives off a majestic feeling.

Step, step, step

Hearing footsteps approaching, he let out an exhale of warm air before turning towards the courtyard entrance. There, three people shows up wearing official government attires belonging to the information division.

Passing through the entrance after being checked by Daniel newly purchased royal guards. The three men came up to him and stopping three feet away before offering a respectful salut. They also subconsciously give a look at the huge dragon curled up not far away as they can feel two pairs of cold eyes staring at them.

Turning back to Daniel, a young man named Matthew said "reporting to the lord, one of our scout unit have send back news that would interest you."

"Hmm? what would that be?" asked Daniel.

"We found a large size village of elves deep inside tutor forest to the south. Our scouts is still on stand by and awaiting orders from you lord." replied another man named Jason.

The mentioned of elves surprise Daniel since he didn't expect to find any other races inside tutor forest beside humans. But that surprise only lasted for a short moment before the system announced another interesting feature.

'Thanks....' thought Daniel but since these elves are free, he won't hesitate to lure them in.

"Have the scout approach them and give an invitation to join us. They are not required to move here but will needed to swear allegiance."

"Yes lord but what if they refused?" asked a slightly older man named Anthony.

"Leave them alone if they refuse our goodwill, do not trouble them but continue to build up relations with the elves is a must." said Daniel.

"Understood!" said the three men as they give another salut before leaving.
