After further questioning, everyone was dismissed while leaving Daniel remain seated inside the quiet main hall. On his face is a small grin that if you don't pay attention then it will go unnoticed.
'This might be a god sent opportunity for us.'
'What we lacking right now is population and population equal manpower. I can't depend on the system for troops all the time and their is no reason why I should limit myself as well.' thought Daniel.
'We will need to scout out the farm and it's surrounding first before taking action.'
'Very well.'
- North of dawn fortress -
The only truth that came out from all those lies previously is that the tribe or farm is actually located in the north. However, it is a lot closer then Daniel imagine with only half a day away from dawn fortress.
Standing on drogon back high up in the cloud, using the eagle eye skill. Daniel could see through the eyes of the feyer eagle.
Below is a wide open plain and the farm is stretch out for miles in all four directions. Surrounding the farm are high rise wooden walls with many watch towers spread out to cover a large area. Their are also multiple barracks at strategic spots to keep watch of the humans.
With only one entrance in and out of the farm, Daniel can make a rough estimate of the garrison strength.
Going further away, it took two hours to find the base of another orc army. This army give him the feeling of dread because from the air, he can see a large black mass of all sizes. The sheer number is overwhelming and uncountable.
'Yeah and I bet that their should be more then a hundred thousand orcs, goblins, and ogre down in that huge camp.' thought Daniel.
'We will need to plan this carefully since the enemy strength is not something we should underestimate. Let's go back for now.'
As the feyer eagle flew back in the same direction that Daniel is going. A pair of cold eyes belonging to a huge orc is following it until the bird silhouette disappeared completely.
Turning to another orc standing beside him, the huge orc said "what do you think?"
"That is not an ordinary bird war chief Marek...it's seem that our little friend have some more interesting pets with him." said an elderly orc.
"I still can't believe he showed up with a fire dragon and annihilated my goblins. The plan to infiltrate that fortress can be considered a failure as well."
"What I want to find out is where did that fortress came from and all of those human soldiers."
When they didn't hear back from any of the marauder groups that was sent into tutor forest after so long. Marek had a bad feeling that some kind of incident have occurred so he sent some men to investigate. But within a day, the soldiers returned with a surprising news.
A fortress have been spotted inside the narrow mountain entrance, blocking their way forward. And on top of the walls are human soldiers. He didn't believe the report until seeing it for himself when arriving to the observation range away from the fortress.
First thing that came to his mind is to attack the fortress with the main army upon seeing it. However, Marek immediately calm down and think it through as he look at the tall walls and narrow path. His army size would mean nothing in this kind of environment. Heavy losses will happen if he decided to attack the fortress recklessly.
That is when he came to the thought of using the humans inside his farm to pave a way through that fortress. But who could have thought that when he give the final push by using his goblins, a dragon with a full armor man would come and destroyed his forces. Luckily, one of his goblins survived and returned to report the matter.
From that day on, they have always been keeping watch of the sky and the feyer eagle is very eye catching as it circles around the camp.
"We will find out soon enough old friend." said war chief Marek as he continues.
"The important thing right now is to prepare ourselves because I have a feeling that something big is about to happen."
"You don't mean..." ask the old orc.
"Hmmm, I doubt they have the capability to confront us out in the open for now. But the same can't be said for the human farm."
Hearing what war chief Marek said, the old orc nodded in agreement. Because if it was him then he would also try to liberate the farm to further boost his manpower. Especially when the farm garrison is only in the thousands. If catch by surprise then the main camp that is hours away won't be able to send help fast enough to repelled the enemy.
"You are not the war chief for nothing haha. Should we put a surprise in place for these humans?" ask the old orc.
"Of course, it be rude to welcome our guests without preparing some gifts. Send my order for the blood wolf division to be prepared for battle at anytime."
