Chae Won felt a presence, he felt his boss was being followed but it was just his gut feeling, he thought, maybe he was being overly cautious. He brought out the car from the garage and parked it right in front of the door.
"Take me to my father's apartment he said coldly."
Chae Won has been his trusted ally since day one, he had no friends he had high value for him but he wouldn't let his feelings show, he didn't want to feel weak and Chae won understood his boss completely.
He was expecting the ride to be silent as usual but ever since the appearance of the waitress, nothing was usual, he did unusual things he never would have thought he would do.
His boss acted all strong and mighty in front of people, feared even by many but deep down he had a kind heart, one incapable of hurting another human except utterly necessary.
"Have you spoken with the colleague of Eun Ha?" the masculine voice of Muchen asking this question broke the silence.
"Yes, I have, it was as we thought, she had been set up," he said calmly
"And..." Muchen said impatiently raising one side of his eyebrows.
"A certain Ma'am Wu the head of the waitress is the suspect,"
"Hmmmn" was the only thing he said in response.
"Should I visit her? No, not yet, we would when the time is right"
This has to be the longest conversation he has had with his boss since he started working for him, he usually held monotonous conversations with people and he wasn't an exception, they soon approached the gate of the building, as the security guards greeted him as they drove past the huge gate which led to the mansion they lived in Creo Estate.
It was just 7:00 pm the timing had been perfect, for dinner but not for him. He walked into the house as he made his way to the dining, he knew his parents would be there, he had wanted to greet them and return to his room for work when he realised that they were 3 at the dining which was quite weird, he couldn't see the face of the person seated and had assumed it was his cousin, he walked towards the dining and a rush of excitement flushed his mother's face on seeing him
"Much!" She called out happily, he bowed and greeted his mother and father before turning to the lady seated, his eyes fell on Kang Mi Cha he was shocked but his face remained expressionless.
MI Cha wasn't going to let this opportunity slide,
"Hey dear good evening, we've been expecting your arrival" Muchen looked oddly at her, without saying a word if he had any appetite or plans to eat dinner with his parents it had just been cancelled, his father hadn't said two words to him finally spoke and Said
"Muchen, take a seat, and don't be rude to the young lady who has come out of her way to see you," he said in an authoritative tone, ordinarily he would have walked out but he knew the last thing he wanted to do was increase the tension between him and his parents.
He pulled out a chair and sat down.
As the maids came to dish out his food, they had dished his meal without putting beans in it, he was allergic, he didn't eat it, Mi Cha had also noticed his father didn't eat beans it wasn't added to both their meals.
She continued eating while observing their faces, but her heart was beating fast, having the love of her life seated just across the table, this was what she wanted, to be part of the family.
Muchen ate his food without minding a thing, his mother had tried to break the silence by asking
"How was work today son?"
It was the fine mother he responded not in his usual cold tone, it seemed like he is in a good mood she thought to herself, perhaps it might be the right time to tell him the decision his father and herself had made, she needed a grandchild and there was no other lady more perfect than the lady sitting across.
She continued "isn't Mi Cha looking lovely?" she asked with a huge smile on her face.
He raised his eyes to look at her and he replied
"Hmmmn"
Her heart skipped a bit, "did he just agree with his mother that she looked lovely" she thought to herself blushing a little.
He couldn't deny that she was very attractive but he just didn't feel anything for her, she'd make a good wife for someone else, not himself, mother and father Lee felt they needed to give them space to talk,
Father Lee stood up, from the dining wiping his mouth with a serviette paper mother Lee did same.
"Be a gentleman and drop her off at home when you're done"
