Club foot is a rare congenital defect most people don’t know about or pay attention to.  Congenital club foot is the most common musculoskeletal congenital anomaly in Nigeria. A study conducted in South-East Nigeria reported 3.4/1000 live births. 

The global prevalence of club foot is estimated to be between 0.6 and 1.5 to 1000 live births with around 80% of the cases being born in LMICs (low-to-middle income countries). 

According to 2014 estimate by the Global Clubfoot initiative, the prevalence of clubfoot is 1.4/1000 live births in Sweden. 

Treasure is 14 years old from Southern Nigeria, she’s had club foot all her life, and this book takes us on her journey of sadness, fear, pain, low self esteem, basically mental health issues she’s facing and her inability to ever feel worthy of love. 
This book is about awareness and I hope you enjoy it because it’s important to me.

Mr George the principal walked me to SS1A after the long conversation with my parents. On getting to the class he made a short announcement about how I'm a new student and everyone should be nice to me. 


He then directed me to my seat and I must say the positioning isn't bad at all, the girl beside me  is damn pretty,  I couldn't see her properly because her head was bent down but the little I saw I was impressed. 


She didn't respond just gave me 'shippish' smile and bent her head again. I think she's shy but no worries Treasure the beaut I'll win you over, I mean who can resist a guy like me. 


I thought she will at least talk to me during the four periods before break but no, not even a word. 


The bell rang and it was like a relief. 


"Do you want my books" I was startled by the beautiful voice like you're pretty and have a voice that runs down my spine. Jamie calm down, I said to myself. 


"I just thought since you're two weeks late you'd want my books to copy the notes" 


Considerate I like that, no I didn't say that out loud. 


"Yeah of course, thank you", this I said out loud. 


"Here you go, these are just some, I'm not currently with all but I'll bring them for you tomorrow or when you're done with this ones then we'll talk" 


"Alright thanks a lot I really appreciate it"


"It's alright, no problem at all" she said this with a lovely smile and so much meekness. Girl be careful or I might just fall in love with you, I didn't say this out loud either. 


"See you after break"  she said in a loud peach voice which was kind of adorable, adorable enough to make me chuckle. 


I bent my head for like 2secs but when I raised it, I noticed she walked funny, I just stared with wonder, did she have an accident?
