Treasure's POV
"Hello"
"He...llo" I replied
There was a weird silence for about 30seconds then...
"It's Jamie"
"Yeah I figured"
"Figured? Didn't April give you a heads up"
"No she didn't". That's April for you.
"Oh, em..."
"So what's up?" He was short of words so I improvised
"Nothing much, I'm good. You"?
"I'm good too"
"We missed you at school today"
"You and who?" I asked in shock
He chuckled, "me and the entire class"
"I doubt the entire class missed me o"
"You'd be surprised"
"There's no surprise there jor"
He laughed.
"Why are you laughing"?
"I didn't mean missed as in miss you and I meant..."
I cut him short, "oh my goodness, of course" and then I chuckled which made him laugh
"Why weren't you at school today"? He asked
"Stomach ache" I replied
"Oh oh sorry dear. Period cramps"?
"No... what do you know about period cramps"?
"Excuse you I did biology "
"Really! So you paid attention, how nice"
"Are you always this sarcastic"?
"Maybe.."
He chuckled.
"You'll be at school tomorrow right"?
"Yeah definitely, with the lizards and geckos".
"What? Oh oh tomorrow na Saturday"
"Yes!"
"I'm literally face clapping my self right now"
I laughed out loud. "You should".
"Em... okay treasure see you Monday"
"See you Monday Jamie"
"Yeah. Take care of yourself"
"I will. You too okay"
"Yeah... can I take your number from April"?
I was very direct. "Why"?
He was silent, which I'm sure was in surprise.
"I just thought since we're friends, we should have each others numbers"
"Are we? Friends I mean". Now I was just being cold but it's true, we're not exactly friends.
"Oh.... so you give your notebooks to people you're not friends with, interesting"
I smiled, he is handling this pretty well.
"Nice argument, but just so you know it's called being nice".
"Nice? Hmm"
I shook my head and laughed then said "you can have it".
"Okay Miss Treasure, have a nice day"
"You too Mr Jam Jam"
"Hey, don't even try it"
I laughed at him. "What? Are you not Jam Jam"?
"My friend will you respect your self"
"Okay okay, no more, I'm tired of laughing anyways".
"Better. I'm giving the phone to April now"
"Okay" I replied with a grin
"Madam"
"Mmm"
I rolled my eyes, April and her weird responses.
"Was he there during our conversation"? I asked
"Yes"
"What do mean yes, how could you be that careless"?
"Calm down hurricane, I no be mumu, so relax"
"Phew, you almost gave me a heart attack".
"You should have had the heart attack, because you should know I would never have such a delicate conversation in front of a stranger"
"Calm down madam, I'm sorry, I should've known better"
"Hmm-mmm"
"Don't be mad, please"
"I'm not, I love you. Bye bye, don't finish my airtime"
"A whole judge daughter, worried about airtime. I started to tease to ease the mood".
"Yes o I am, money isn't manner, and I can't use all my allowance on airtime because of you, so bye bye".
Before I could say anything, she ended the call, typical April she has no chill whatsoever.
