Vengeance

Several people were walking on a bridge.

Jill looked at the cameras on the bridge and said with a dissatisfied tone, "Is this some kind of a game to him, where he is watching everything we do through these camera's."

"We are already in a game." Alex said with a smile, "The game field is where we are, the story is the outbreak and Alice and the rest have been designated as the game characters.

"So who is the player?" Alice glanced at Alex.

Alex smiled, "There are many players, such as those from the umbrella company, since they are the one's enjoying this game, but the biggest player of them all would be me."

"It makes sense, Alex. It seems that you are usually treating this hunting as a game." Alice smiled lightly.

Alex smiled and said, "That is indeed true, wow Alice, you saw right through me, man, I am really a simple guy, just like an open book."

"Man i haven't watched much drama's, but you can really become an actor with your skills" Jill said sarcastically.

Alice's face changed, as she looked down at the bridge. "There is something over there?"

"What? where?" Jill looked around without seeing anything.

"I don't see anything," Peyton said.

"That doesn't change the fact that there is something over there." Alice's gaze was sweeping the place, searching, with a sense of crisis in her heart.

There was a hint in Alex's eyes, as eh said let the game begin.

"Huh, I've had enough, let's see if something is really there." Peyton yelled, and took out his pistol, as he walked forward.

Bang bang

For a while, the bullets were shoot without any kind of direction or aim, one could only see the sparks coming from the fire, and then Peyton's body fell, riddled with holes, on the ground.

"Peyton." Jill yelled and shot under the bridge .

The others also saw who was firing. It was a tall humanoid monster, holding Gatling guns in his hands.

Alice looking at the monster shouted, "Run, hurry and run away."

Alex held Terry's hand. "Let's go."

Alice's face turned cold, and she jumped directly from the bridge and landed on the ground steadily. Most people who jump from here are usually people who commit suicide.

The others ran down the bridge and saw a pickup truck.

On the van, Jill will try to rub the two leads against each other, hoping to start the engine. Jill's expression looked sad, naturally because Peyton was dead.

"Jill, I'm sorry about Peyton, but we can't let this hold us down, we must survive if we want to make sure his memories doesn't disappear."

Jill nodded slightly, "Thank you, I know." For the first time, hearing what Alex said, it was not that annoying to her.

"No one knows how one will die, or when. but i will promise you one thing, that if we are going to die, i will be infront of you and be the first one to die." Alex said lightly.

"Alex, don't say such thing, we will not die." Terry said.

"Why choose to die before us?" Jill asked, quite curious.

"Because then i don't have to see you guys die." Alex said with a sigh.

Jill's body twitched slightly. "We haven't known each other for a long time."

"It has nothing to do with the time, you know, its how you spent them" Alex looked into Jill's eyes while saying these cringe lines.

Jill turned her face aside, "I don't know", and then suddenly Sparks popped up and the truck's engine finally started.

Jill breathed a sigh of relief. "We can go now."

"Roar" a zombie rushed towards Jill in the driver's seat.

Jill's face changed, pushing the zombie hard, it turned out that the zombie was Peyton, and he had became a zombie.

"Aaaah" Jill yelled and kicked Peyton aside.

Peyton bellowed and continued to pounce over. Jill took out her gun and aimed at Peyton's head. "I'm sorry".

"Let me do it." Alex shot Peyton in the head.

Jill looked at Peyton's body, sorrow flashed in her eyes, then closed the door and whispered, "Thank you."

"This is the least we can do for him, to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone, since i'm sure he would want something like that." Alex said lightly.

Jill didn't speak, but drove the car silently and drove towards the front.

"Alex, what are we going to do?" Terry's asked as her eyes was showing confusion.

"Why? don't you have a plan for the future?"

"I really don't know what to do. People have become like that, will we become like that?" Terry's eyes had fear in them, as she didn't want to become a zombie.

Alex patted Terry's shoulder. "It's okay, don't think about anything, and besides you have me to protect you."

"hmm." Terry nodded, and suddenly felt how lucky she was to meet Alex.

Jill felt uncomfortable while watching them, she didn't know why. she wasn't paying attention to the road when suddenly, Terry shouted "Stop,".

A man with a hat ran over, "I'm not one of those things, remember me? look I haven't been bitten anywhere, see."
