Keevah

Bubble hold my hands and pull me closer to her, her eyes were trembling like she's been holding her tears to flow in her soft reddish cheeks. She knows that it's not a good idea to show her weakness to a stranger and that's smart of her.

"It's okay, you can cry. Aiken will drive us home." I put my hand on her reddish cheeks and wiped the translucent water flowing down her cheeks, her usually bright eyes were nowhere to be found. Her puffy eyes were so visible that anyone could think that she just got to a painful heartbreak.

Eyes were all over the three of us every time we walked near each other, maybe they're thinking that these two just got to a huge fight I am soothing her for that. Even though our situation is awkward, none of us stopped walking and just looked straight as if we don't know that they're gossiping about us.

It's funny these people see our situation right now, I looked around and saw every passerby looking strangely at us, no at me to be exact. All eyes were on me and I hate it. My attention was drawn further as my eyes widened, it feels like they're mocking me, making fun of me, they're judging me, I'm sure of that.

Ah, this is wrong. I'm grabbing their attention because of this. I don't know but all I can hear was their painful words, nothing more. The more I walk, the darker it became. I shouldn't have to go with these people, they don't me and that's the problem. They're probably thinking ill of me.

"Let's go together, I'll hold your hand." Suddenly, a big hand grasped my small rough hand, the trembling stop and I could see Aiken smiling worriedly at me. His beautiful lips were curled up that I could see his beautiful face in front of me. His blond wavy hair was beautifully fluttering as if this is the right time to be that handsome.

Gaining back my senses, I turned my head left and right but can't see where Bubble is. Aiken starts walking that I stopped looking around because of his long stride. My mother said I'm gaining weight ever since we moved here but seeing my thin wrist in Aiken's hand makes me wonder if my mother's words are true.

"Oh, I'm fine. You can let go now." I raises my head and cheerfully smiled at him. Our height difference is a little frightening so I just smile at him so he can see that I'm totally fine right and he doesn't need to hold my hand. He looked at me eyes widened. I think smiling isn't just my cup of tea.

"No, you're crying." It was at that moment when I felt a hot translucent liquid flowing rapidly down my cheeks, I guess I still can't be exposed to the public huh. I'm still not okay with it even though I know I can handle such pressure. But I guess my body just can't cooperate right now.

His hand grasped my wrist tightly and I walked with my head down until Bubble called us, waving happily as if she didn't cry earlier. Her shy and gentle face is what I like but her personality is just so good that there is no reason to hate this kid. "Where did you go, Keevah? I'm worried!"

Bubble hugged me tight that I can't breathe properly. Gentle but brave that's she is in my eyes. I always thought Bubble is just a playgirl who acts childish but now I think that's just how she does her things.

Aiken drives us home while Bubble and I are reviewing the information we got from Atty. Park. First, she's calm and cooperative that which made her look suspicious to me. Second, her persistent eyes that never leave mine are just creepy as if she's thinking of something unnecessary. Third, the way she avoided Aiken's question by hiding the thing in her drawer is kind of suspicious too.

"Is that normal?" I'm encircling the information one by one using my pen when Bubble suddenly pointed to the circle where the date is. Aiken's right brows were arch so I asked Bubble "What is?"

"Do lawyers memorize everything? what I'm saying is she knew the exact date, day, and time and I, who's desperately looking for that time didn't." My eyes widened on her words, She's right, it's something that she remembers the information regarding the case she refused to.

"You're right, Bubble." I give her a thumbs up and nod my head multiple times. Fortunately, we have Bubble with us today, if not, I don't think we can write that down.

"But there a possibility that you just forgot the date because you're confused that time." We looked at each other and slowly nodded our heads before looking at Aiken from the rearview mirror. That must be why, or maybe there's alternative reasoning to that.

"Sure, That is right" Bubble make a thumbs up on her hands and showed it to Aiken before leaning her head on my shoulder. Surprised, I looked at her and saw that she's already fast asleep. I let her sleep until a big modern house stopped the car, I woke her up and say goodbye to her while the servants from their house helped her.

Aiken drives again and the awkwardness feels heavy so I pointed at the street Grand Del and said; "I can go by here, thank you for today." then hopped off the car, bowing my head. I stood beside his car, waiting for him to take off but he didn't. Assuming that he's waiting for someone, I once again bow my head and walk toward the bus stop.

The lights are turning off one by one and the only lights I could was the light from the moon. People are starting to decrease little by little and just like that, the only person I see is myself and that drunkard staggering nearby. Feeling anxious, I start tapping my fingers on my coat and took my phone to call my childhood friend, Kye.

But he's not picking the phone. He must be talking to someone right now. I'm not the type of person to bother someone but I just couldn't help it today, there's so much information to process, and to think that I almost collapsed because of the pressure and looks of the people around me, I just can't help it but bother at least one of the people I know.

Feeling someone's heavy footsteps, I unconsciously walk away from the person behind me, half praying that I was someone else. I slowly closed my eyes and inhale. I lift my phone in front of my face to see a huge figure. Eyes widened I slowly steps forward, little by little hoping that the person behind me didn't notice how scared I am.

Once again, I tried calling Kye for the last time but It's still ringing. Maybe he's doing something right now but I suddenly hear someone calling me from behind. "Who are you calling at this time? Come on, I'll drive you home." recognizing the voice, I slowly open my eyes and turn around, and there I saw him standing in front of me.

"Keevah, where are you? I'll come to pick you up." It was at that moment when Kye answer my call. Aiken is looking intently at me and waiting for me.

"I'm at Grand Del Street right now," I said. My voice is low and I don't think Aiken can hear me but he suddenly bends his knee and leaned in closer to my phone saying; "I'll drive her home, don't worry."

He gently grabs my hand and opens the door for me. I hopped in and looked outside the window. I don't even know what to say to him. He's driving like crazy that I didn't even realize I'm home.

Kye who's waiting for me walk toward me and looked at Aiken who's doing the same thing. I saw my mother and run to her but she just look at me with a serious face then said;

"A woman named Melissa Forshay is looking for you, they're in the guest room right now."
