Chapter 17: What a veins!
Aurelius Azure POV
The little program ended when the head of the school gave its speech about the opening of the classes.
I remained on my seat waiting for Asha and after a few minutes, I saw her walking to me with big smiles plastered on her face while talking to the girls she dance with earlier.
They stop in front of me just a few steps, giggling and beaming of positive vibe.
"I didn't expect the crowd's reaction when we performed earlier" said by a girl with wavy brown hair clinging to Asha's left arm.
She was wearing tight faded jeans partnered with a light pink balloon sleeve off shoulder and brown heeled boots
"Me too Cassie, it was the same vibe we had when we compete for the last years' festival" dreamily said by a girl with straight black and full bangs clinging to a girl who clings to Asha's right arm.
She was wearing a white crop top printed with faded different kinds of flowers partnered with black tattered fitted jeans and a silver stilettos
Asha didn't say anything but just smile and giggle with them.
Happiness was evident in her eyes, it was the same happiness I see every time she would show me the mushrooms she collect from the forest
I couldn't help be happy and star at her every time she would be like that
"And who do we have here?" I heard the girl with the slightly black curly hair asked, the one who cling on Asha's right arm.
She raises her right eyebrow at me
She was wearing a tight upper orange shirt that hugs her body's curves with the word 'Queen' and a crown above the word printed at the center of the shirt.
Partnered with black fitted jeans and a black sneakers with silver lining that glows in the dark or if it was hit by a light.
She was carrying a black jean jacket slung over her left arm
They all looked at me suspiciously and the girl with a curly hair rolled her eyes at me
She then looked at Asha and it was like a cue for Asha to introduce me
I cleared my throat and smiled awkwardly at them
Asha gently pulled the girl's clasped arms apart and slowly walked towards me then gently grabbed my arms to introduce me to them
"Oh I'm sorry for the late introduction" Asha said and smiled at them but they all still looked at me suspiciously like I would do something not good.
Silence fell on us, like an invisible barrier was built suddenly and you need something to break it.
"Girls this is Azure, the one I told you before we perform, the man who I am helping" Asha said, breaking the invisible silence
"Azure meet my girl friends" Asha continued cheerfully "This is Cassie Jane Alban" pertaining to the girl with the wavy brown hair
"Just call me Cassie or CJ but not jane" Cassie said seriously and raised her hand for handshake which I accept with a smile, then cling her arms to the curly black hair girl which Asha introduced next.
"This girl here is Monique Jane Alban, Cassie's twin sister" Asha said and Monique raised her hand for a handshake which I also accept with a smile and shake her hand
"Call me Monique" and this time she smiled at me sincerely and then back to rolling her eyes again at me
Asha saw it and she looked at the girl like they communicate about something, and only them would know what that is.
After a few seconds she introduce me to the girl with full bangs "This is Levi Rose Ang" and the girl raised her hands with big smiles for a handshake too, gone the suspicious look she gave me earlier.
I also accept it with smile and shake her hands
"You can call me Levi" She said and I was about to let go but she didn't, instead, she looked at the visible veins on my arm like it was the most fascinating thing to see
"Woah! what a veins!" she exclaimed and reached my other arms and giggle
She even show it to the others but they all gave her a warning look which I didn't get
"Look girls, What a veins!" she even exclaimed gaining the attention of the remaining student inside the theater
Who wouldn't be, when her voice echoed all over the place
I laughed awkwardly because of how uncomfortable I am and toke it as a cue to pulled Levi but she resisted and started to hold tight on my left arm
"Wait a minute, I wanna stare at it more, this is a one time opportunity, Aren't you fascinated with how his veins are visible?!" she exclaimed and were on the verge of crying
"Look how much muscle he had! and how healthy his veins is! what a veins!" she said boldly
"Levi don't embarrass yourself!" Monique said and this time pulled Levi hair which made the girl let go my arm and tried to fight them
Monique let go of Levi's hair and they all hug her when she started to reach for my arms again
"Pleaaaase just let me look at his veins before Reed comes here" Levi said and look at them with puppy eyes but a stern no came out at the girls mouth making the girl whimper like a little puppy
I saw how Asha, Monique and Cassie tries to stop Levi but the girl keeps on fighting back until the four of them fell on the floor
The four of them laugh and I join their laughter because of Levi's craziness
The place went quiet and my laughter was the only can be heard
I stop and cleared my throat awkwardly
I should drink lots of water when I got the chance
"Woah, did you all hear him laugh?! how can you be so manly?!" Levi exclaimed and it made me stop
I looked at them and the three girls hug again Levi to stop her from doing another crazy act again
Levi resisted and this time successfully got out from her friend's hugs
I was about to run when I saw a man as tall as me signaling to shush and were stealthily walk behind Levi and did something to knock the girls' consciousness off
He catches the girls' body and looked at everyone apologetically
"My sister's crazy button turned on again, right?" he asked looking at the three remaining girls and they all nodded and pointed at me
"Oh I'm so sorry for whatever my sister did" he said and I just nod at him "She has this kind of weird acts whenever she sees something that caught her attention" he continued
"It's okay I understand and you are right, it's weird but it was okay" I said and laugh a little "Let me help you carry her" I offered and he accepted
He carried Levi in a bridal style and face me again "By the way, I'm Lord Reed Ang, Levi's twin brother" he introduced his self
"I'm Aurelius Azure Smith" I said and he just nod at me because he can't reach his hand for a handshake
He then faced the girls "Thank you again for always stopping my sister girls, let me treat you all for a little snack, I'm sure Levi would wake up by the smell of food" he said and laughed a little
"Sure! No one would decline a free snack!" Cassie cheered while Asha and Monique started to chant "Free snack, Free food!" until we got out of the theater
We are already at the door of the cafeteria and Reed was right, Levi did wake up and ran to the entrance of the cafeteria like a child
I was going to enter too when I saw a blue butterfly flew out of the building
I was about to ignore it and took a step to go inside but I heard a voice calling my name and it was from the blue butterfly
Another one appeared and this time it was my mothers' sweet voice calling me
"Hey Azure everything's alright?" Asha asked and I saw her standing at the cafeteria's door waiting for me
"Aren't you going inside? or you want to roam? I can give you a copy of the school's map and my class schedule so that we can both go home later" Asha offered
I was hesitant to accept it. I wanted to go inside and join Asha's friend, to get to know the people that surrounds her but the voice keeps calling and the butterflies keeps on showing
Asha saw my hesitation and she smiled at me "Here's the map and my class schedule, you do know how to get home right?" she asked
"I-I do" I said and accepted the map and her class schedule "Then that's good, enjoy roaming okay?" she said and I smiled at her "See you Asha" I said and we smiled at each other
I watch her closed the door and I took a step back to follow the blue butterfly
Maybe the butterfly just wanted to show something but why do I have a feeling that if I follow the blue butterfly, It would be a long time before I return?
