Chapter 7

Alex's POV

I opened the door to my house and let Regan go in first followed by me . I took his luggage from his hand while Boomer approached us excited by a new person in the house he started yelping on Regan.

" Calm down Boomer, you are going to scare our guest." I said while bending to Booms level an she started licking my cheeks, " Ahh! No boy, not now." I said to Boomer, stood up and turned to Regan, " So this is my house, come let me introduce you to the beings here. This is Boomer, I hope you do not mind him but he gets extremely excited sometimes."

I said and took him to Windy , " Windy!" She flew towards us and sat on my shoulder, " This is Windy and she might take time to adjust." I said looking at Regan who just put his hand out for her to sit. I then looked at Windy who was looking at me, I nodded my head and she flew and sat on Regan's hand. He looked happy, he was smiling. I guess I can cure him like this only.

" The next one is seriously lazy, so we will have to go to him instead." I said while walking and Regan followed me with Azusa on his shoulder now, " This is Azusa, he is lazy and he will not be bothered by anyone and would not bother anyone even when the house is on fire or being robbed or there's flood he will sleep." Regan laughed at my comment while I moved to my goldfishes, " and last but not the least my dear goldfishes, they are named number 1,2,3 and so on."

" You have so many pets, I like them." Regan said while he bent down to pet Boomer's head who has been following us around.

" Glad you like it, now come I will show you your room and then we will have our dinner." I said taking him to the first floor, " so this is going to be your room, mine is just next one, don't hesitate bothering me if you need anything. Now I will leave you to settle down, freshen up the bathroom is on the left and come down for dinner." I said leaving his room giving him his privacy.

I reached my kitchen and decided to make some simple ramen noodles for today because I am quite tired from todays action. After the ramen was placed in hot water to soak, I decided to let my pets too have their food so I put their dinner in their bowls. Finishing up with the chores I went to Regan's room, knocked at the door, " Regan the dinner is ready." And he came out of the room, " to be honest I wasn't feeling very energetic so I just made some ramen, I hope you are okay with it."

" It's completely fine, I am not that hungry anyways. " He said as he followed me to the dining area. We sat down on the chair opposite to each other and started eating ramen. After finishing I got the dishes and was about to wash them when, " can I do the dishes if you don't mind?" Regan said and I let him.

I just stood there watching him when he did the dishes, silently the work was over and Regan decided to go sleep. I on the other hand was not able to go to bed, the day sure was tiring but I am confused with Regan's behavior, " he seems like a complete normal person, no bizzare behavior no signs of anxiety, how is it possible?"

I decided to call doctor Lee but seeing it was very late I just texted him to send me Regan's case history, " I should start from the beginning, when he got the disorder or maybe accused to have it." I said finally lying on the bed and letting the sleep consume me.

The next day, I got up and saw that the others were still asleep, so I freshened up and begin with the breakfast, " hmm let's see, maybe the typical eggs and bacon would be the best." I said and started making the food and after a few minutes I saw a sleepy Boomer near my leg, " hey boom, slept well." I said bending to his level while he just whined as if asking what I was upto, " well I don't have to go to work for a while so you should get used to seeing me. " I said laughing and petting his head, he seemed pleased by the gesture. I stood up and saw Regan standing near the kitchen door rubbing his one eye another sleepy head, " Good morning Regan, go freshen up I am almost done here." He just nodded and went to his room.

After a while he came back and helped me with giving my pets their food and we sat down to have our own breakfast when midway through the breakfast he spoke, " why are you not eating bacons?" Looking down at my plate.

" Ah you see I am vegetarian, I can cook non-veg but I just can't bring myself to eat it." I told him the truth.

" If Ethan would hear that he would scold you non-stop, and when h-" he stopped and looked at me.

" What's the matter go ahead, I am just listening." I said encouraging him to go on.

" He would speak so fast that it would seem like he is rapping." He said and started laughing.

" Is that so" I said laughing myself and decided to have this conversation later to not make him think I am pressuring him.

We then silently have the breakfast of course with small talks here and there.

Then the day went off with few chores and it was evening. Now is the time I should ask him, "Ethan is your brother?" I asked him sitting next to him on the sofa.

" Not by blood but he is my brother, the others are too." He told me.

" And who are the others?" I again asked him since it might help me.

" There's Kyle, the second oldest then Gage and Luke then Troy and Andrew." He said, " Troy and I were best friends and Andrew was smaller to us." He said and kept telling me about how good their bond was , " we were always together and my fath-" he stopped.

" What is it?" I asked him but he just shook his head and said he is tired and wishes to sleep, " but you have not had dinner yet." I tried to seem as if I am not eager to know.

" I am not hungry" he said and left the room not even once looking in my eyes.

" Regan you got to open up, I am trying to help you." I said to no body and decided to go sleep to but only after giving the guys their food.

I reached my room and started to get ready for bed, when my phone's notification went off. I picked up the phone and there was message from doctor Lee stating he has sent Regan's case history to my email.

I immediately opened my laptop, started reading and what it stated shook me to the core.
