Ava woke up to the sound of guns being checked. There were a whole lot of men checking their gear to see if they were combat ready. Ava looked to her left to see Ariel was climbing up a tree with their bag packs. She probably wanted to hide them for later if something went wrong. Ever the survivalist. 


Ava rubbed her eyes as she turned to see Liam kneel beside her and offer her an energy bar that was strawberry flavored. She stared at it for a second before taking it and opening it. 


"Christian told me that you're from inside the wall?" 


Ava nodded as she took a bite before swallowing; Liam put his water bottle near her before sitting next to her. 


"It's male free," Ava said as she glanced at him. The sun shone through the trees making the men nervous because they were going into battle in a few minutes or hours from now.
