An Oddity

"Where's Leo?"

Azrell's gaze began to look sad when the person she was waiting for a reply to all the messages she had launched, but since their last farewell, that man had not read any messages from her. Usually, when I'm busy I take the time to answer, but this time it's different as if Leo was swallowed up by the earth.

She sat on the edge of the bed, still staring at the cell phone screen in her hand. One wish has not come true, how can she have a relationship that seems fine? It sucks.

She's been texting so many times, Leo said, he wants to go home to get back to work. So the question is, does a job involving multiple piles of documents keep the man so busy.

"Arghhh, I could be crazy for a long time if I just waited for some unclear news from you!"

Finally, she gave up, slamming her body on the bed which made her stare directly at the ceiling of the room. It's almost midnight. Everything she has done together with Felia, from surprising the woman by creating a soothing bath atmosphere to doing face mask activities.

Now, she is waiting for Felia to remove the mask marks on her face with rinse water and facial soap.

"Ica? What's wrong with you? It hurts?"

Felia's voice was heard followed by the sound of footsteps that seemed to be approaching Azrell could be heard clearly. She remained in her position, lazy looking at Felia who was now sitting next to her.

"No, I'm not sick, why?"

"Instead of answering, you are asking me a question back."

Felia chuckled, then climbed onto the bed and immediately leaned her body on the head of the bed. She looked at Azrell who seemed like she was thinking about something, but she chose to remain silent.

Whereas Azrell? She exhaled, for some reason it felt difficult to have a relationship with Leo. Indeed, there are so many advantages, but oh come on she's very uncomfortable without news like this.

"Fe?"

Finally, she decided to say Felia's name while changing her sleeping position so she could see the face of a woman who rarely wore make-up. Still beautiful, a natural face without being crushed by serum or other skincare, only facial soap but Felia's face still looks smooth like a baby's bottom.

Felia smiled, then excitedly focused all her attention on Azrell. "Yes, Ica?"

"Have you ever felt affection for someone else but that person didn't love you back?"

"Never, Fe. My life is sad, I've never felt that feeling."

"Ah yes, sorry. But think about why there are people who fall in love with people who can't give their heart?"

Felia tried to think. Whereas before she wanted to listen to Azrell's complaint because the woman looked nervous, this time she was confused about how to respond.

"And stupidly again, that person is me." Azrell laughed sadly at the fate that had befallen her. At first, she only looked at him because she was fascinated by handsome men, she thought that she would be greedy for his wealth, but in reality, she was wrong. An Azrell already likes Leo.

The relationship that Leo thinks is just a place to fill empty time so a woman can pay attention to it.

Azrell stared at Felia's confused face. She knows very well that a woman is never close to a man because later her attention will only be focused on her partner. "No problem Fe, I just wanted to tell you and tell a story," she said with a sweet smile. Even though Felia can't give advice, the most important thing is that a quarter of her anxiety has been channeled and she is relieved.

"My advice is, don't love what doesn't love us back."

"Huh? What are you talking about? Your words are too complicated for me to understand, Fe."

"How do I tell you? In essence, you just need to hold on to that affection so that it doesn't get bigger. Want to be hurt?"

Instead of being enlightened from the sharing session, Azrell burst into laughter at Felia's words. Indeed, the woman is very funny making up words to relieve her sadness replaced with amused laughter. "Yes, Fe. Don't continue, I'm fine. I'm tired of laughing at you," she said, wiping the corners of her eyes because there were tears there.

Felia pursed her lips, but a second later she chuckled. Azrell said it was also true, if she thought about it, she did not understand what she was saying.

"Yes yes, I want to go home,"

Azrell raised an eyebrow, then grabbed Felia's hand so that the woman didn't move from her seat. "Don't go, Fe," she said which even made her face sad again.

"So what do I do? I'm going to miss my favorite film."

"Please call this number, Fe. I'm sleepy, want to sleep." Azrell stretched out her hand, gave Felia a cell phone as a means of communication for many people. Once in the woman's grasp, she immediately adjusted his sleeping position and covered herself with a blanket.

Felia, who hasn't asked what to do, just stares blankly at Azrell's cellphone which is already in her hand, given a contact message with the name LL which is given a red love emoticon.

"LL?" she muttered.

During this time, she never asked Azrell whether the woman had a lover or not. Because she was lazy and at the same time considered it to be Azrell's privacy that she couldn't possibly question, it was extremely disrespectful.

Exhaling her breath, she tightened her grip and then started to get off the bed to let tired Azrell begin to enter into her dream.

She started to walk out of the room, then closed the door again. After all, Azrell only told herself to call that contact, right? It's not as if she can't go back to her little house in the backyard.

When she arrived at her destination, she immediately took off her sandals and put them on a special sandal and shoe rack. It was great to have people who cared about her.

"Ah gosh, it's already this time, I better hurry to watch,"

Enthusiastically, Felia immediately ran to the bed and put Azrell's cellphone beside her. Start reaching for the television remote, then turn on any flat object hanging on the wall.

"There should be popcorn, but I'm too lazy to make it," she muttered, scratching her un-itchy cheek. Usually, she watches television accompanied by light snacks and soda, oh sometimes even a glass of juice or mineral water.

She began to pull the thick blanket for the medium of her punches so that if she saw a romantic scene that made her nervous she could hold the softness of the thick blanket tightly. She leaned her body on the head of the bed, then began to relax before the film showed a scene that could make her get carried away.

(Phone vibration sound)

Just about to enjoy a movie, Azrell's cell phone rings. Gosh, she forgot to call the number that woman said! Cursing her stupidity, she simply grabbed the cellphone and saw the name that was previously ordered. "Huh, what should I say?" she asked, instead of closing her ringtone.

Instead of answering the call for too long, Felia pulled her finger to pick up the phone. "Hello, good afternoon," she said in a soft tone that was very polite.

Let her guess, if Azrell even looked fashionable with a face like a Greek goddess, surely her lover would be someone big —in terms of titles--. So, she prefers to use polite vocabulary.

"Good evening, who is this? Where's Azrell?" Baritone's voice began to clear in Felia's sense of hearing.

"Hi, Sir. Sorry, Azrell fell asleep. Earlier she told me to call you to give you news, but I forgot."

Somehow she became the most honest being in the world, even though other people didn't ask anything.

"Then? Who is this?" On the contrary, asked the baritone, the man spoke in a calm tone as if his innocence had made Azrell wait a long time because he was a workaholic.

"None of your business," said Felia. She is quite annoyed with this man because he managed to make Azrell's beautiful face turn sad.

"Is she busy tomorrow?"

"Yes, why ask me? You're her lover. Don't know her schedule? Of course, she works tomorrow."

"Ah, yes,"

There was a pause, Felia thought the call had been cut off, making her look at the cellphone screen but it was still connected.

"Hello, sir?" said her, interrupt replies. Because yes, the film on the television screen will be airing soon, but this person doesn't seem to want to end the phone call.

"Yes?" replied the man on the other.

Felia sighed a little, why is this kid acting like that huh? "I'd better hang up," she says.

"Why?"

Felia raised an eyebrow.

'Why did he say? Yes how could he not speak to her, but not want to hang up?!' she thought.

"Yes, because I wanted to watch a movie, I missed the start of the film."

Over and over again, she explained things that were never asked.

"Oh, it sounds noisy, yes. Now, good night."

(Phone disconnected)

Felia daydreamed. Like that? How can Azrell endure dating a boy with the initials LL?! Oh my gosh.

Putting Azrell's cell phone back, but this time on the bedside table. Then flatten the sitting position again. Staring at the television screen, her mind drifted as she remembered the 'good night' greeting.

For some reason, Felia took Azrell's cellphone again. Then open the password, and read the message room of the pair.

Surprisingly, the man who was given the abbreviated name LL did not send any reply messages to Azrell and did not even wish him goodnight like what Azrell had told him.

But that voice, a voice familiar to him. Ah, don't let him think of that stupid man.

"Why do I think of insignificant people? Euhm ..."

Giving up, she had violated other people's privacy. Finally, the cellphone was put back on the nightstand.

The taste is indeed strange, even very strange.
