C2

Red felt a painful sting in her head and knew instantly that she had gotten a very bad wound there. The pain was too much that she had to moan out of pain.

The strange man heard her painful grunts and quickly stood up from her body. But something didn't go right with him because he wasn't having any rash and he wasn't feeling uneasy. All he felt was complete and filled. But then before he could think hard the girl who was so close to him had already runoff.

He wanted to go after her but then something caught his attention. Close to him was an ancient ring with a green stone. The stone wasn't any stone but it was an emerald stone.

He picked it up and looked at it closely before putting it in his trouser pocket. In everything that made him so confused was that he had met the woman he had been looking for and that person had run off to God knows were.

And then he said. "I Daniel Huffman will surely get you" after saying that he walked away happy that he had saved her, the girl who would cure him.

....

Red ran as quickly as her legs could carry her and hid behind a big truck before putting her hands on her chest.

"What have I gotten myself into?" She cried silently as she held her chest which seems to be beating so fast because of her little race.

Never had she expect that a man she didn't know would save her from jumping from the cliff. Knowing fully well that that man wasn't just any person, she started having different funny thoughts in her head. 'Was he an angel sent by her parents?' or 'Was he sent to kidnap her since her life was useless to her?' or 'Maybe he was sent by God to save her wrench soul and she ended up running away from him.'

Well, she didn't care who he was and she wasn't going back to him so she started to head home.

On getting home she met someone standing close to her flower vase. She knew the girl and she wasn't in any mood ready for her trouble.

Charlene was her mother's friend daughter who lived next door to hers.

Charlene had always tried getting close to her but she just didn't want to let her in because she called herself bad luck.

Wasn't she a bad egg? How could a single girl like her take her mother's and her father's life on the same day which then happened to be her birthday?

As she got closer she noticed Charlene holding something in a shiny wrapper and knew instantly that she had come to give her present which she knew she wouldn't take but was always persistent in giving her.

She had almost a full basket of presents Charlene had sent the years her parents died till last year's birthday.

Charlene was a jolly being and also her age peer because after her mother took in for her Charlene's mother Mary also took in for Charlene a few months later making her older by three months.

"Hey! Happy birthday, Reddy," yes Reddy that was the stupid name the fool had to refer her with.

She knew Charlene was being friendly but she just didn't want friends. She didn't see any reason why Charlene was still being nice to her when she was an absolute failure, bad air and curse to her own family.

But she knowing Charlene was being an absolute Charlene she knew nothing she did was ever going to piss the rock head and make her stay the hell away from her.

"What do you want Charlene?" She asked fetching out her keys so she could open the door.

"Well, I had been waiting for a while so I could give you your this year's birthday present but since you'd been out I would push the punishment part aside and give it to you," Charlene said stretching out her hand which held the present and gave it to Red.

Red knew nothing she did was going to make this pester of hers let her except accepting the present and pilling it up in the same place she had stored the others.

"Thanks! Charlene and please can you go, j think I want to rest and I won't be able to do that if you're here." Red said as she started to open the door.

Charlene saw that it was her cue to leave so she turned and left.

Charlene wanted her friend back. She had missed Red and she knew it wouldn't be easy getting her back so she wasn't pushing. She just hoped that one day Red would fund her road back to happiness and know that she never killed her parents.

And hopefully Red would become herself again.

.....

Red walked inside her home and dumped the present at the normal place and walked to her bedroom to get some things done before going to bed.

She took her diary where she wrote daily and jotted down what had taken place today at the bridge.

After doing that she thought about few things and thought about the gifts she had been receiving from Charlene and wondered if she could become what Mary Charlene's mother had once said to her.

"You're great Red, and wherever your mother or father is today they would wang you to be happy and not punish yourself for what you had no hand in."

And then she thought maybe she could become someone better. And so be it if she could make out something of herself.

And starting with making friends was the first thing that came to her mind.

Charlene...
