No more Finn.

'I did, I did, I definitely replaced Finn' Marcus thought while he searched through his memories.

The background in metalworking. The spacewalk. Raven Reyes.

He had definitely taken over Finn's life. 'Sweet' he thought with a smile on his face. Although he gets super edgy and dies in the second season, he was still one of Marcus' favourite characters. If he had to pick who to replace he probably would have picked Finn anyway, he was good looking and adventurous, not to mention he had that babe of girlfriend known as Raven.

He was planning on pursuing Raven at some point anyway, so it sure helped that he was already in such an amazing relationship with her. All he had to do now was not fuck it up like Finn did when he slept with Clarke, and that was easy enough.

Anyway at this point Finn...umm...I mean Marcus was pretty tired so he decided to sleep. Not like there was much he could do in his cell anyway.

----------

Time flew by pretty fast, there wasn't really much for Marcus to do in lockup other than talking to his fellow juvenile delinquents and slowly building up his System points.

After he completed his first challenge he unlocked his status screen, it was pretty basic.

He learned from his system that most skills require stamina points to be used and that he could buy skills in the system shop or learn them through various means. There were so many amazing skills in the shop but most of them were exorbitantly expensive. For instance there was a skill called [Destroy] which literally obliterated an opponent into nothingness once a day from anywhere. It was like having a button that you can push that will just wipe anyone you want from existence, only catch was that it cost 50 million points.

There was no way he could ever afford to buy that skill, it was just there for some eye candy. On the other hand there were plenty of skills that were quite cheap like [Basic Tailoring] or [Basic Archery] but he could gain most of them himself easily once he gets his hands on some equipment or upgrades his attributes. So he did that first.

He had 60 status points thanks to his spin and completing the system quest so he decided to just put them in evenly so he could have a good start. The feeling of having power seep into you from the environment was quite addicting, like an adrenaline rush. He found that other than his stamina scaling with his endurance, nothing had any extra effects until he reached 20 points in the stat.

When he hit 20 in each point he got an extra skill for each stat. Strength gave him a skill called [Strongarm] which took 10 stamina points to add a 20 point increase in Strength for one hit, Agility did the same with the Skill [Burst] only it increased agility for a quick burst of speed. Endurance gave a good skill, [Physical Damage Resistance] which did exactly what it said by increasing his resistance to physical damage. Perception gave the best skill though, [Danger Sense] which let Marcus passively sense when he was in danger. The skill scaled with his perception 1 metre per point but only half as much through the ground.

It was definitely a life saving skill so he put most of the remainder of his points into perception so he could have a bigger area of effect.

He didn't get another skill when he hit 30 with perception but he could sense a lot further.

Over the next month Marcus used his advanced perception to easily steal lots of items from his fellow prisoners. He would have stolen from the guard but he didn't want to until the last days so he wouldn't get caught. It was in this time that he realised he had an inventory of sorts, it wasn't much only a 1x1x1 metre cube of space but it could be upgraded with system points. 1 metre in any direction cost 20 points which wasn't bad considering he was using the inventory to store items which he had broken down for more points anyway.

By the end of the month his inventory had tripled in size to a 3x3x3 metre area. He had stored quite a few useful items in the inventory that would be good for the first few days on the ground. He had some rations which he had stolen from the lunch line when he was passing by, which the guards eventually noticed after 3 days of doing it but by then he had stolen about 2 weeks worth of food so he didn't really need anymore anyway.

He had scrapped a few metal trays or pieces of cutlery and such, although he had sold off most of it to upgrade his inventory, he had some stored in his inventory. It was enough for some basic tools or maybe a weapon but he could salvage from the dropship wreck like everyone else so it was enough to start.

It had already been a month so Marcus knew that they would be sent to the ground any day now. He decided it was finally time to steal some of the guards gear.

It was actually incredibly easy since the guards in the Skybox were usually pretty laidback. They would often sneak in contraband for the prisoners in exchange for favours and other things so they didn't exactly have their guard up. Marcus managed to swipe 2 guns, a stun baton and a solar powered charger with a torch attached from 4 different guards. He decided not to push his luck any longer and went and sat down with the other delinquents in the middle of the large hall.

However as soon as he did an alarm blared indicating bed time. Everyone headed up for the night.
