Chapter six "Unlucky or cursed " continues ......
The other day Pharrell came at the office to report to his boss about the lawyer, when he was about to step out of the office Jordan stopped him "One more thing Pharrell.." he halted by the door turning his gaze to his boss "Make sure nobody knows that I am helping her , not even herself" Pharrell lifted his head to aside notable to understand him why would he hide the fact that he is helping her "But why" Jordan sat to his chair giving him the warning signals, he nodded "Ok sir .. I understand " he left the office room, when he was in the elevator he started talking to himself "tsk tsk tsk" he shook his head "Boss is acting weird these days, is it because of her ? .. No no no! it can't be boss hates love " he shook his words away "He might just pity her that's it... yes !" the elevator opened up and he went on his way....
At hospital.... Tessa's eyelids started to shake a nurse noticed her, she went closer to her "Miss ... are you awake?" she opened her eyes, it was blurry at first, she closed them and opened again "Where am I?" she thought. The nurse ran out to call the doctor, she blinked couples of time with her cute baby eyes, she wanted to touch her head it was aching but she found out her hands were cuffed, that was when she remembered she was imprisoned, she wanted to sit but felt pain on her abdomen "Aaaa! shit!" she cursed. The doctor came in "You shouldn't do that lay down, you'd only hurt yourself " she laid down with his help groaning "Aaaah!" doctor examined her "You have to rest , Tomorrow you will be going back to..." he halted "I know" she.said like a whisper, the Doctor left the room leaving the nurse to look after her.♡
She is awake and is fine, it'll take sometime for her to heal , and careful when you take her tomorrow not to trigger the wound " he told the guards, they nodded in unison and stood back to their positions. Sarah and Milly came to pay her a visit but were not allowed to enter , they sat out for couple of hours , Milly got up and used her charm to plead with the guards until they allowed them , she thanked them and entered along with Sarah, they were happy to see her conscious, they cried, and chatted until the time was up, as usual the guard came in to inform them, They kissed her goodbye "They'll take me back tomorrow at afternoon " Sarah nodded "Ok girlfriend, we'll see you their, take care till then" , they walked out the room and Tessa was enlightened for her family to came and visited her , she thought she was going to die and that she would never see them again, a tear fell from her left eye, she sighed and closed her eyes to rest.
The next day she woke up early and her eyes were looking outside the window, the sun was bright and the sky were clearly blushe smiled to memory that flashed on her head "Mother I miss you!" a tear fell from her eye, a door was shortly pushed wich caught her attention, she turned her head to see who came this early, a man in suits walked in with a suitcase, Tessa blinked , he sat down next to her , he looked at her attitude smiling "Hello miss Michael... I am John, your lawyer, I'll be taking care of your case" Tessa narrowed her eyes "a lawyer for me? who sent him Sarah?" she thought, John smiled at her reaction she was so much like a baby , no wonder Pharell or whatsoever was caught by her charm, he took out some papers and looked at her "So ma'am , I am at your service, now how about you tell.me the whole tale so I could help" he gave her a warm smile and Tessa melted she couldn't resist this angel who wanted to free her so she could live her life.... ♡
They talked for quite some time, he asked her several questions before he bid her farewell "Ok ma'am , thank your corporation, I'll come to see you often at prison" Tessa nodded as he left. Once stepped out of the room he took out his phone and dialled Pharell " Hello pal" he answered "Hello John, how didi it go?" he chuckled "Rest assured it went very well" Pharell stayed quiet for a while before continuing "Ok good , she didn't ask you anything? like who sent you and all?.or any suspicious?" he opened his car door and sat in " It's funny but she didn't ask a thing! Pharell who is she ? she is a gem" he said teasingly "No one! and you don't have to know just do your work, make sure the VIP gets free" John hissed "Hey I am the lawyer here don't you think it's important I know about my VIP client? ... aaagh! forget it , I got you " Pharell hang up at him , John laughed and started the engine to leave , he knew something was off, she must an important person.
At afternoon Tessa was taken back to prison cautiously, and since she saw the faces of the womens that hurt her , a head of discipline questioned her about them soon after she arrived and they got punished accordingly including their boss.
Another two weeks passed by , the investigation was still going on and the lawyer kept going to her whenever he wanted an information from her about the case, the case was already at the court and will be listened on Monday morning, her lawyer informed her about it.
It was Sunday afternoon Sarah and Milly came to pay her a visit, she informed them about the case hearing tomorrow "Thank you Sarah for sending me a lawyer " Sarah was surprised "Lawyer! what lawyer? I didn't send any lawyer!" now it was her turn to be surprised, two lines formed between her eyebrows "Really!!! then who did? he comes to me every day and I thought you sent him" Sarah shook in denial "No I didn't girlfriend, I wonder who sent him "Tessa Tessa creased "I am not sure , I can't think of any" Sarah smiled "Whoever it is that decided to help us he must be a very good person " he smiled back at them "Yeah, I guess God is still with me" Sarah's eyes went below to her abdomen "How is your wound Tessa " she held it "Oh this , it's painful but I think it's healing" Milly gave her a thumb "That's good Tessa " she smiled at her princess widely, the time was up and Tessa was taken back in to have a rest. ♡
Since the accident occurred Sarah moved in at Tessa's house so she could look after Milly in her place, she sent her to school, cook for her , do laundry and everything like her own little sister.
On Monday he two woke up earlier than ever nad went straight to the court, Milly didn't go to school that day.It was on the news that the case was going to be heard on that day. Jordan sent Pharell to the hearing and asked for a video call once the case begin so she could see everything at his office. Tesaa was sent to the court room, she was surprised to see many people on the seats but was relieved to see Milly and Sarah that were waving at her.She sat beside her lawyer, he gave her an assurance look "Don't worry ma'am I never loose a case, and it's not bragging but the truth, just do as I said and I will finish everything " Tessa nodded "Mmmm" .
"All rise ! this court is now in session " the judge entered and sat down at front facing everyone and then told everyone else to sit, he briefly told everyone about the case, he prescribed to everyone the ground rules that they have to follow in hi courtroom. Tessa was called to stand at the exhibit to be questioned by he other party, it went well she was trembling but was able to master her courage, then her party stood up in defendant, it went for couple of hours"Until tomorrow this court is adjourned " said the judge before walking out. The first session was good to Tessa because there was no proof against her so far, no fingerprint or cctv footage to prove her guilty.
The second day was like the other day the judge entered and the session began, it went for a while this time Tessa was trembling in fear praying in her heart to all God's names in the world "God please help me!" , since there was no vivid evidence against her, there was no reason to lock her up "Mr.Ben Rhodes died from the slippery that he slipped down to the floor, while he was having his good time with Miss Tessa, the charges against Miss Michael has no vivid evidence to prove her guilty, this court has proven Miss Tessa not guilty and is a free citizen from now on, thank you Jury for your service today , Court is adjourned " announced the judge and lifted a gavel and hitted it against the sound block before standing up and walked out the court room....♡
Tessa exhaled and hugged he lawyer beside him excitedly "Thank you!! thank you so much sir! I can't thank you enough " he stroked her back "I just did my duties ma'am and you were innocent that is why you came out clean" she pulled back wiping her tears "May I ask, whonsent you to save me?" he chuckled it was funny that even he didn't know about that "I may sound crazy but I also don't know ma'am , I just received orders , now if you'll excuse me" he got up and walked away. Sarah and Milly were excitedly running to her, she opened her arms for them and they ran into her embrace, the trio cried tears if joy , they were happy to have back thier Tessa.
Jordan saw everything that was happening through a video call "Boss it's done " he saluted at him teasingly with a smile , Jordan cleared his throat "Mmmm, good job" he hang up but his lips were curved with a smile , he was somehow delighted about it , his heart was soothed. The trio went back home with so much joy and they were very grateful to the hidden angel that saved Tessa, they continuously prayed for him to continue being blessed.
Jordan stood up by the glass window at his office "Now it's all done, I am sure it was just a pity " he smiled unknowingly. shortly his phone rang "Grandpa George " he picked up "Hello old man!" he said in mocking tone "Hello you busy young man! I am glad you picked up" he trailed off "What is it? spit it! " Jordan teased him , he knew he wanted something from him , Grandpa George laughed out loud "Aigoo! look at this detective, ok! I won't beat around the bush anymore, your Grandma and I here were thinking about inviting you two for dinner tonight " he paused listening for his response "Please don't deny this time too, we've missed the two of you so much, please young man can you make this old man happy please" he pleaded , Jordan closed his eyes as if he was contemplating on what to tell him , he exhaled "Okay we'll come over" Grandpa George chuckled "Now that is my grandson!! thank you" he hang up at him, Jordan shook his head " I guess I got this behaviour from you old man" he called Pharell and headed home , Joel was excited to hear the news , he grabbed his Nanny's hand "Why are you still standing here Nanny? let's go and find me something to wear" he dragged her to his bedroom, Jordan smiled "Just don't overdo it hero , it's just a dinner " he yelled at him teasingly, Jordan went upstairs to change and when he came down ,Joel was long time prepared waiting for him like a boy that was waiting to be taken to an amusement park, Jordan messed his hair "You seem excited hero" he stood up and held his hand pulling him out " I can't wait no more Jordan! I've missed them" he followed him and they entered into a limousine soon after the doors were opened for them, the driver started the engine and rode off . .♡
On their way Jordan texted Pharell he pulled out his phone to read the text "Let's be careful at dinner, I am sure the old man would invite her too, be alert!!" ~Jordan~
he texted back "Yes sir! I got it" ~Pharrell ~
Pharell wasn't just his PA but also a personal bodyguard so he has to make sure that nothing happens, they arrived at a big gate that opened automatically after detecting who it was , the driver hoped I to a big mansion with lights like a palace, and pack before the entrance, Jordan held Joel's hand "Hero!" Joel lifted his had to face him "Mmmm" he caressed his hand "No matter what happens tonight, I want you to behave okay?" he gave his big brother a thumb up by his other hand "Mmm, I understand " , they stepped out of the car along with Pharell. They were welcomed by a que of maids, they went straight inside, it was such an amazing and luxurious ancient mansion, with ancient furnitures all over , bug chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, they walked to the dining room where they heard voices of people laughing... As soon as they arrived a woman glared at them with a smile "You are late Jordan..." he looked at her not saying a word. Joel ran to his Grandparents who were seated on the table, "Grandma, grandpa " he hugged the two of them , Jordan went to greet them with a hug too , Grandpa George cleared his throat "No he isn't Maurice, go ahead and sit you two" he was so happy to see them , Maurice rolled her mouth sipping wine "Your Grandma and I are so happy to have this family reunion after many years" the two settled down , to a table that had many dishes more like feast instead of a dinner, Maurice chuckled "So I am invisible here with my son?" Joel stared at Jordan waiting for a consent, he gave him a assurance nod , he stood up and went to hug her "Hello aunt Maurice " she stroked his back "Hello son! you've grown up so much" she said with a wicked smile , he smiled back and raised his head to a boy that was sitting beside his aunt "Hello Troy" the boy didn't answer and just glared at him, Joel went back to seat beside her brother , they eated and chatted for a while , then everyone went back home .
Maurice was a little sister of Jordan's father, Grandpa George gave them thier inheritance before he resigned, it was big fortune to each , they decided to start their own business each, Jordan's father went to study business at the U.S and he came back to start his business and succeeded, unlike Maurice , she started her own line of fashion called "Future corporation" but her business wasn't as successful as JJB'CORPORATION, so she was jealous and greedy and intends to kill Jordan to take over the corporation, since Jordan's parent are long dead and Joel is still young if Jordan dies now she had a big chance of owning it , she was not aware that Jordan knows everything about her and her intentions but is just playing along with her waiting for a good chance to strike her instead. It was a battle of family.♡
"Tessa wake up!" Sarah was waking her impatiently, she opened her eyes "Whaaaat!!!!" she sat her up "Come downstairs with me now!" she blinked few times looking at the clock on the wall it was till early "Ok! but why ?" Sara made her stand up , and held her hand helping her climbing, her wound was not fully recovered and she had to be careful. Once they reached down, she opened her eyes widely to what she saw at the living room, the two decided to give a welcome home party , she was very happy, they had all the good times to the max .Meanwhile Tessa as she watches her family she prayed in silence "Dear god, make this happiness last forever "..
A month passed by and she was fully recovered but still had a mark, she was finally back to her normal life , she thought about looking for a job, she went through some newspapers but to no success, a week passed by she received a call from one of the jobs she applied for, it was not a proper job so she just had to go for introduction, It was a laundromat, she went and was informed all the do's and don'ts about the job as well as a date to report at work. Her first day at work was all complicating and confusing but as time passed by she got used to it, she received orders from different peoples and was happy with the amount she was getting.
"Boss I have something to report " said a Pharell "Proceed" he took out some papers "I've got a secretary but..... it's a male this time I hope it's fine" he always preferred female secretaries because they were trustworthy than male but he thought maybe a change of environment won't hurt , he lifted up his head "It's ok , as long as he doesn't disappoint " Pharell smiled "I am sure he won't, he will be starting tomorrow, I'll introduce him to you but till then these are his information " he handed the papers to him before getting out..♡
A certain man received a call "Yes madam " the woman on the phone exhaled "I hope you won't disappoint me and get me every information I need from him as soon as possible " the man chuckled "Don't worry madam , don't you trust Ricky?" she hang up . The other day a new secretary along with Pharell stood before Jordan in his office "Hello sir! I am Ricky Domes, I am looking forward to give my best at your service " he bowed smiling, Jordan lifted his head facing him "You better! you can go now" Ricky bowed and left to go at his desk that was just outside Jordan's office with a mocking smile, he was planted by by Maurice to leak as much information he can get from him as soon as possible. Jordan stood up by the window with his hands I his pockets "Is he trustworthy, I feel something isn't right with him" Pharell chuckled "Come on boss, you and your trust issues! but I'll look into it faster " .. Jordan gave him a thumb up from behind .
A bald skinny and tall man entered at the laundromat, Tessa welcomed him "Hello sir ! how may I help you?" he walked straight to her like he was going to do something to her with a scary attitude , she was startled "I've brought my clothes for laundry, I'll pick them up tomorrow night" he raised his bag of clothes, she gulped "Yes..... Yes sir " he turned and went away, Tessa took a deep breathe "Man!!! he is so scary, my heart is racing, how could there be such creeeps around humans?" she took the luggage "Oh shoot his name!" she was so shocked that she even forgot to ask for his name.Tessa finushed her work and was heading home , she passed by a black car , it looked oddly suspicious, she creased and her eyes were about to fall off to see that scary man in the car , she turned her head away and walked faster until she reached at a bus station and hoped in one, she sat down breathing heavily "Why is he still there? I am so... oh man!" she touched her racing heart ..♡
The other day the bald man didn't come to pick up his clothes at the laundromat, Tessa finished her works , she went back home. Sarah gave her some food she cooked , Milly was already asleep, she hugged her bestie "Thank you girlfriend so much, but aren't you going back to your house , it's been couple of days already" Sarah shook her head "I won't, I'll be staying with you here " Tessa was so excited "Really? won't your baby mind it?" she teased her , Sarah exhaled "I bet he won't! we've broke up couple days now , I went to take some clothes and found him with his b#$%& on our own bedroom " she lowered her head down pain towered over her face, Tessa felt like a thorn piercing her heart seeing her bestie broken by some random man "That jerk ! I'll kill him, he better not pass my way!!!" she announced angered as if she was the one cheated on , people were right when they said 'If someone hurt you, your bestfriend will hate him more than you do' "But am all good now, I can just replace him anytime " she smiled bitterly, Tessa hugged her tight "I am sorry " she thought about enlightening her mood and a change of topic will do "You know what? ..yesterday came a very weird man at work, gosh he had my knees shaking" Sarah wiped her tears "What really?" Tessa told her from A to Z now she was worried for her "You should be careful girlfriend " she smiled "I will babe " she kissed her forehead, she was relieved to make her worry about her instead of lingering with thoughts of that unlucky jerk, they went to sleep afterwards. ♡
Jordan was shocked to see his office slightly changed "Pharell ! I think someone broke into my office yesterday " Pharrell walked around and he also noticed some changes "Yes! but who?" Jordan had a smirk on his face "We have to find out about it! but no one should know about it yet, let's go to the security chief " he nodded "Yes sir" . They watched a CCTV footage, a man covered in black from head to toe, he had a mask on they couldn't see his face, a frown settled oh Jordan's face "Don't tell anyone about this chief, I repeat myself no one!" before he left along with Pharell "Who dares to intrude your office?" said Pharrell, Jordan halted "Pharell I think we need to play that game again " Pharell smiled "it's gonna be too much fun boss"..
Sarah dropped Tessa at work before she went to hers, Tessa walked in to her duties, it was getting dark , she hugged herself as wind blew in "I think I have to go now" she said excitedly, she locked up and was on her way home, she halted when she saw the same car of the weird man, she increased her steps , the car was coming after her , she was shocked and walked faster frightened, the man increased a speed and parked in front of her , se froze staring at the car "Run Tessa! " she turned around running for her life like a mad dog , the man stepped chasing her , Tessa cried "Help me, help please !" she was running out of energy from the shock. The road was empty not even cars or people passing by .She bumped onto a brick and fall down, making the bald man even easier to catch her "Stop young lady! I won't kill you" he smiled like a villain, Tessa crawled back crying "Please leave me alone , what do you want money?" she handed him her bag , he threw it away laughing out loud "What do I want? what is it? " he creased "Aaaah! I want your beautiful body... can you give it to me?" she rubbed her hands at front "No please let me go" he stepped forward " Then I have to take you forcefully, f%#$ you and then kill you" he knocked her out, she fell down unconscious, he carried her on his shoulder "Agh! such a waste ... you should've come willingly, now I am angered it's not good for you" he laughed making his way to his car and rode off with Tessa. ♡
Two hours passed by, Sarah waited for her to come back home but she didn't, started to get worried " Girlfriend, should I come to pick you up?" she waited until Milly fell asleep but Tessa wasn't back, she took her bag, locked up the door and went Tessa's workplace, to her surprise she found it locked already "Ooops, she must be on her way home, I am worried for nothing " she took a deep breathe heading back home but still Tessa wasn't back home, it's been several hours and she got even more worried "No I think I should go to report to the police station " she raced to the police station and reported, she was asked several questions and was told to go back home just in case she comes back and was told to leave it to the police. She went back home and waited until morning but she wasn't back, she had dark circles around her eyes for staying up all night, she had to tell Milly. The two went back to the police station and soon afterwards Tessa was on the news for a missing case ....
Tessa opened her eyes, she felt her head spinning, her eyes wondering around and found herself in an empty room, it only had a bed which she laid on, her hands was tied up, her heart started to race "Where am I? help me please!" she screamed for a while but no one seemed to hear her , she only heard her voice echoing, she gave up tears falling down her cheeks making them moisty "Why am I so unlucky, I am always in trouble mother I am tired !" she cried bitterly....♡
Jordan going through some papers when suddenly his secretary entered "Sir , you called for me" he lifted his gaze t him "Oh yes! I want you to schedule the meeting with Ability corporation this afternoon, I want to go home early today " he bowed "Yes sir! right away " he left with his lips curved , he was happy that he will be having all the time he wants to go through his boss's office and get what he wants, once he stepped out Jordan locked the door and moved all of his important documents to his secret chamber , before pulling out his phone and texted Pharell.
"Pharell, the show is about to begin "

"I can't wait to catch the rat red handed (laughing emojis)" ~Pharell ~
Once Jordan stepped out of his office as how he predicted, his secretary looked at the window until he made sure that his boss left with his limo, he turned with a smirk heading to the office to carry his mission , he stepped out so as the CCTV cameras wouldn't catch him , he wore his costumes and invaded as usual going through documents, he bang the table out of frustration because he couldn't get anything important, suddenly a door opened, he turned very shocked to see Jordan and Pharell are back "Looking for something Ricky?" said Jordan with a smirk, he rushed with a flying kick at Jordan but he was fast to dodge it , once he pulled the door handle to ran away, Pharell fired him with a silence pistol, he fell down unconscious. "He is such a dumb to break in at daylight " Pharell uttered and carried him to the VIP elevator heading to the parking lot , and then locked him to the bonnet after tying up his hands/legs and covering his mouth incase he make noise "Dumb ass!!" he cursed...♡
