As the giant wolf tracked down the scent of August in this small area of the painted world Priscilla would not stop smiling. All her life she had thought everyone who ever showed her any care would have forgotten about her.
"Priscilla, I wanted to ask you a question. What is Life Hunt? I know it is your ability, but what is it?"
She blinked a few times before she answered.
"Oh, it allows me to drain the Life Force and souls from any being I kill. Do you want me to teach you?"
"You teach it?"
She shrugged.
"I don't know. Give it a try, but it will cost you."
Adrian's face went blank as this girl was already charging him for such a godly ability. He sighed as he looked at the girl who looked serious as she wanted something for it.
"What do you want?"
She smiled and made her demand.
"A kiss."
He looked forward as Sif had already found August. When the giant Fume Knight got a look at who was behind Adrian he barely believed it was the little girl he used to know.
When Sif stoped running she got off and hugged August tightly.
"Uncle August, you are alive. I am so glad to see you again."
August was shocked as he looked at the girl who was just a foot short them him. He remembered her as a tiny girl, not a grown woman who could stand at the height of a Fume Knight easily.
"What happen to you girl?"
She let go of the hug as she answered.
"Age."
Adrian got off as he answered.
"We are old August."
August nodded as they both were alive since the war with the Everlasting Dragons. Seraphine and Solaire looked at the tall woman who was even taller than them once again. They both sighed as they looked at the three giants.
Seraphine was the first to complain about it.
"You know it is so unfair all of you get this tall."
August sat down on a large stone as he chuckled.
"Well, we are not humans so it is expected for us to be large. Still, I will be honest that it can be a bother from time to time."
Adrian sat next to him as he nodded.
"In battle, it is a godsend to be above your foe, but it can be annoying in more practical situations. Finding a decent bed is hard, plus most can't even support our weight."
Priscilla sat down in the middle of both of them and had an idea.
"You two never learned to shrink?"
She focused on her body and shrunk down to a small form. She was now 6'6 and it made August and Adrian look down at her with curiosity. Both of them knew it would be a helpful ability to have for practical reasons.
Solaire and Seraphine looked at her shorter form which still stayed quite tall, but it was noticeable. Adrian reached down and patted her head which made her smile.
"How do you do that Priscilla?"
She looked up at Adrian and smiled.
"You got to use the power of your soul to control your own body. With control, you can manipulate your size which is what I and Sif do. Did you never think to do that?"
She looked at August who was looking away as he had never thought to control his own soul. Neither did Adrian, but it sounded very useful. She looked smug that she knew something that they didn't.
"That is not the only benefit to having control over your own soul. It can do stuff like this."
She raised her fist and it was covered in dense soul energy as she punched the ground with just a tap. It crumbled around where she hit which made both Adrian and August look at each other.
They both wanted to be able to use this so she explained it better.
"That was pretty much just soul energy. Everyone has a different soul so no two are the same. From the way I see it, Sif can only change his size as he has not tapped into his own soul force."
The big wolf blinked as he focused on his ability to change size. His own soul was a large silver light. Even Solaire and Seraphine both wanted to use this power so she explained a bit about it
"I learned this from my Life Hunt ability and Sorcery. Which is to control your own soul, but instead of attacking with it as a spell, you coat a weapon with it."
Adrian closed his eyes and focused on his pitch-black soul which he had no idea why it was so black. He didn't feel any more evil than he usually did, but at a glance his soul was huge. From the amount of soul he had consumed, it made sense for it to grow.
He had no idea how to control it and neither did Augst, Seraphine, Solaire, or Sif so they all looked at Priscilla for her to help. She smiled as she felt useful after being a prisoner in this realm for so long.
"I will help you all in time, but it can wait. It will be hard I can guarantee it."
Adrian sighed as he stood up.
"Well, are we done with this place?"
Solaire reached into his inventory and pulled out the Dark Ember that made August, Adrian, Priscilla, and Sif all look at it with extreme disgust if not rage. Solaire saw how they all were looking at it and he put it back.
"I'm sorry, what happened?"
Adrian felt his Lord Souls hatred at gazing at it so he explained.
"That was a Dark Ember that can grant weapons Occult which is the weakness of us lords."
August looked at Solaire who had the ember and he sighed.
"Captian, what do we do with it?"
Adrian thought about it before he made a choice.
"Solaire, just keep it in your inventory. Try not to bring it out from now on."
Solaire nodded.
"I will do that."
Adrian got up and he decided they were done.
"Well, we're leaving this place. This will need some work as this seems like a good place for an armory or hidden base."
August had to agree with that statement.
"If the need ever arises we can use this castle as a hidden fort. Still needing work is an understatement with the time loop and all. The enemies will keep coming back."
They all walked back to Priscilla's old prison spot as they had already opened the path to get to her. When they got to the deep casm she held to Adrian's hand as she could not leave before.
"Uncle, are you sure I will be able to leave?"
He nodded as he brought out her doll. When she saw it her eyes went wide open she grabbed it from his hands.
"Where did you get this?"
He smiled and explained.
"The undead Asylum, don't know how it got there, but it is the key to leave. Time to plunge."
August was the first to jump and returned to the Undead Asylum first. Solaire was the next to jump, but he did it in silence to and returned to the real world. Serahine was next and she took the plunge to the real world.
Now it was only Sif, Adrian and Priscilla who did not look too sure. She felt if she jumped she would only appear back in her prison spot as this place was set up for. Adrian picked her up princess style and grinned.
"No time."
He jumped with her which made her hug his neck to not look. She expected to be left behind, but she was wrong. He landed on his feet in the Asylum followed by sif and now they were all out.
He looked at her as he put her down.
"We're here you know."
When she opened her eyes she saw she was not in the painted world but the real world. It was not an improvement really, but that was enough for her. Adrian whistled and they all heard trembling.
Amara roared out and they all felt the tremors as she landed.
"Well let's get out of here now."
They all walked out of the Asylum and laid eyes on the last Everlasting Dragon waiting for them. She placed her head down as they all got on her back. Priscilla smiled widely as a child she always looked up to the Fume Knights art of dragons.
"Amara, go back to Anor Londo. Let's see if the others haven't returned."
She spread her 4 wings and flew off toward the city of the gods. He had a few things to do now, like place the Lord Vessel down and to go through the Blightown. He hated that place with a passion even more with it being real.
However, if he wanted to get to the Demon Ruins it was a must as he needed the Soul of the Witch of Isolith. As they flew over the land it was obvious it was a wasting world which made Priscilla look around without any wonder.
Her first time out and the fake sun and the decayed remains of kingdoms all around were common to the world. The giant dragon made short work of the flight despite her size.
Adrian looked at her and patted her on the back.
"Don't mind it. This decayed world needs the age of dark. The fire is fading because nothing can burn forever. Not even a star can do that."
August looked at Adrian with a conflicted look.
"Captian, are you sure?"
Adrian nodded
"I am certain, look what linking the fire caused. The curse of the undead is not natural so we just need to let it burn out. I am certain the fire will reappear once again in another age, just not this one."
Solaire who was a Warrior of Sunlight was conflicted as he was an adherent of Sunlight. He looked at the sun on his shield and asked about it.
"So what happens after? The fire dies out and then what?"
Adrian smiled as he explained something.
"Remember when I told you all of Khorne?"
They all nodded as this god was not from this world and had no hold here. Besides a tiny alter that was in Anor Londo, it served no purpose.
"Well, this world will still exist after it fades. That was how this world once was before the fire. I believe this world will live on in a different way than the current decay. We're here."
Outside of Anor Londo, the Fume Knights who went out on their missions had arrived. It was easy to see as Scorn, Russ, and Devestator were resting in the open fields outside of the city with the knights.
In front of them was another Undead Dragon apart from the one August had tamed. Next to it was the corpse of the Gaping Dragon as it was just far too humanity addicted and only lived to consume.
Even if it was a shame they had to put it down and form the look of it, they did easily. They may be dragon tamers, but they knew how to kill dragons as well. Amara landed in front of the Undead Dragon which looked to be resting.
All the knights were looking at its body to see how they would help the poor thing. It barely reacted when Amara landed as the journey here took a lot out of it.
There was also a certain person with a large hat hanging around them as they worked on the Undead Dragon. They had managed to save Big Hat Logon and they were regretting it.
He did not stop bugging them as he wanted to know more about their dragon taming abilities. He was also trying to get to go after Seath so he could learn from the knowledge inside.
"Well seems they managed to get at least one of the dragons back. Still, who is that person?"
August looked at him and had a theory.
"Must be a sorcerer, still we might as well try to learn something. Might help with this soul control. Too bad the undead dragons are far too decayed to actually fly. Who knows what we will have to do to fix them up."
-Will reignite the fire of a Dragon and begin the process of healing. Can also be used as the heart of a forge or as the core of a weapon.
'I love this system, but it's so much farming. I have 25 million souls, but why use my souls. August will pay for his own dragon's medicine.'
Once they all jump off Amara the Fume Knights all notice Priscilla which made them all stop to look at her. They were shocked the little girl they all knew grew to be such a gorgeous woman.
"Priscilla? Where she go and who are you?"
"I guess you can marry the captain now."
"Oh yeah, you're over a hundred right? Captain, time to keep your promise."
Adrian sighed at the issue these guys caused. He instead brought out the first Undead Dragon which looked around the new place. All of the Fume Knights looked at this one which was even worse off than the one they got.
Its lower half was not even connected to its lower body. At that moment Big Hat Logon went to Adrian with a request.
"Excuse me, I say you are the captain these men speak of. I request access to the Duke's archive."
Adrian shook his head.
"No, Seath will kill you. We don't even have access to his Archives with the magic put in place."
The sorcerer found it a shame. Still, he had an idea how he could repay his debt.
"Well, I must thank you, brave Fume Knights. I believe you all were dead, but as thanks, I will teach your sorceries. From a glance, I can tell you possess a powerful soul."
Adrian nodded.
"I accept your offer. I believe having some knowledge in the art of sorcery would do me some good."
Logan was pleased with that answer and Seraphine decided to see if she could not learn something as well. As for Priscilla, she wanted to teach him Life Hunt and how to control his soul.
Adrian had a lot to do, but he wanted to learn something from Logan.
