Leslie leaned weakly against the wall to catch her breath.
Christopher hated her that much. After Leslie returned to her room, she hugged the blanket and huddled in the corner alone. She didn't dare to sleep all night.
After her pregnancy, she had shown signs of drowsiness.
But she could not sleep. She was afraid that Christopher would hurt her like before after her falling asleep. Although the baby had not formed fetal heart yet, she still fondled her abdomen with her hands.
She whispered to her baby, "Don't worry, baby. Mommy will protect you."
Leslie paused for a moment, with gently fondling her abdomen. She pulled out a smile with difficulty. She said to her baby, "Baby, you should not be angry with your daddy. It's not that your daddy hate you. He just hates mommy. In the future, when you are born, please love your daddy."
As she said that, she couldn't stop the tears sliding down from her eyes.
Late at night, Leslie finally couldn't support herself and fell asleep.
