CHAPTER 15: Emotions

It was already midnight but Snow was still awake, he was sitting at the edge of the bed while tapping his index finger at the screen in front of him

'Hmm... Is there a difference in the payment when I purchase normal, passive, and unique skills? can you also explain what is a unique skill?'

I asked Shiro as I continued scrolling the list of skills available for purchase

[I understand, Yes there is a difference in mana payment for passive and unique skills. They are more expensive than normal skills. Unique skill is a skill that is only for a certain person it can only be found in the system, if your magic attribute and personality is not suitable for it you can't have it, in addition, unique skills can pick their owners they will reject you if they deemed you unworthy to wield their power]

Unique skills huh? I'm a little worried about my mana pool but... never mind. I nodded in understanding, then pressed the icon [Purchase] on the screen

I then felt my mana decrease but unlike before the amount that was taken as payment is a lot

I felt a little drowsy and weak but I smiled in satisfaction

This also explained how I knew that Noah was looking at me and how I felt that he was approaching me, but the strength of these abilities that I developed was weak

When I was training with my magic teacher and sometimes spar with him or Father, my senses improved a lot but it is still lacking. If not wounds, I would get scratches or bruises whenever the spar finishes. Thanks to that I developed another ability that enables me to detect danger but since I am still young, it is still also weak but hopefully, it improves as I grow up

But knowing Father's strength, I know that he is holding back so I won't get hurt or get in an accident. But even though he is holding back, he always reminds me that there are strong people, even monsters out there that can kill me without even lifting their finger and since my perception is weak, I am susceptible to being attacked by someone who I did not detect

So to protect my vulnerability, I bought various skills from Shiro

The enhancement of my perception and senses will help me, especially the two unique skills that I bought. I tapped the first unique skill on the screen and the description of the skill appeared

[Mind of Serenity]

[Description: A unique skill that keeps your mind and composure calm during situations where you are experiencing negative emotions such as nervousness, confusion, chaos, fear, anger, etc. Helps you to organize your thoughts and come up with solutions quickly]

I scrolled down and tapped the second unique skill

[Glacial Domination]

[Description: Inflicts a heavy freezing pressure and fear to someone by looking at them, emanating your killing intent or a sudden burst of your emotion which will incredibly slow down their movement. This skill can be merged with your magic attribute. This is also a growth type skill meaning it can even develop as you get stronger]

My smile became wider when I finished reading the last skill. If it can merge with my magic attribute then it will be overkill, imagine activating [Glacial Domination] if I merge it with the 1st Phase, the people I applied it to won't just get slowed down but will also literally freeze to death

I pressed the skill and the option I was looking for appeared

[Do you want to merge [Glacial Domination] with 1st Phase?]

[Y/N?]

I immediately pressed [Y] and I felt two things combine inside my body it lasted for a few seconds before it stopped a *ding!* then echoed in my mind

I nodded in response, now I'm all prepared in case some accident happens when we depart to the Kingdom of Freya. I closed the lamp beside me and went to sleep

I suddenly remembered the time when he broke up with me and all our memories together flooded my mind which made my mood turn 360 degrees, my smile immediately disappeared making my mood turn sour. I unconsciously activated [Glacial Domination] and a freezing mist instantly filled the whole bathroom

I then snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the various wheezes of the maids and immediately deactivated the skill, the mist dissipated leaving the bathroom covered with sheets of ice

The maids that were standing earlier were all on their buttocks and some on their knees, their complexions were deathly pale, patches of their skin was frozen and they were all catching their breaths, I immediately took a bathrobe and went into their direction

"I'm sorry..."

I said and touched her forearm which was covered in thin ice as I activated my light attribute

A gold light glowed from my hands and the ice in her forearm disappeared while the ice burn slowly healed, I did the same for all of the other maids

"Young Master, I-I am all right! y-you, do not n-need to do this!" the maid said as I crouched down and healed her wounds

"I am also f-fine Young Master!" another maid said

But instead of stopping I lightly shook my head and continued treating them, when I finished, I said

"I'm sorry for causing you troubles..."

"N-No! Young Master, we are fine!"

"It's not your f-fault Young Master!"

I looked at them and saw that they were all smiling warmly and my guilt slowly dissipated

"Okay, I understand then please continue"

I said and smiled before submerging my body in the water

There were a clatter of hooves as several men in black riding horses passed the forest, the other black men were pulling a large rectangular box covered in cloth

"Hey boss, can I peek inside?"

A man with a scar on his left eye said as he touched the corner of the cloth, his hand was immediately swatted away by the guy he called boss

"Don't touch it, those are precious! We'll make a fortune out of it"

A man with a bulky body and a double ax on his back said

"Tch, you're no fun, besides don't you want to see it too?"

The scarred man said as he licked his lips

"See what? You dickhead"

"Kekeke... Boss, are you telling me you don't know what's inside this thing?"

The boss looked at his subordinate for a moment before sighing

" *Sigh* We can't as much as we want to have fun with those fucking demi-humans we can't afford to do that today, our client is a big shot this time you know"

"Don't mess with me boss, why can't we see or even touch them it's not like the client will know right? besides, I'm sure you have been pent up lately so it's a win-win for us!"

The man said as his eyes were filled with lust

The boss said as he looked in the right and left directions

One of the black men approached the two talking and reported

"Boss the list of the people attending the auction arrived"

The man said as he handed the map to his boss

The guy called boss immediately scanned the document before his gaze stopped on one person's name, suddenly his laughter reverberated in the forest

"KUHAHAHA! We're fucking lucky! we got a Mystique boys!"

Everyone almost fell off from their horses as they cheered with their boss

The man with a scar on his left eye is the only one who remained silent but a strong hint of greed flashed in his eye
