"Lord Royce, what do you think of Lord Stark's son, Rickard? Your families have the closest relationship, right? His aunt is married to a lesser branch of your family." Said Lord Aryyn with a calm voice as he looked at Lord Royce, who was riding by his side.

"Indeed, my lord. But I did not talk to him before, so I don't know anything about him." Said Lord Royce explaining the situation to his lord as he kicked his horse.

"Well, we will meet him soon." Said Lord Arryn with a smile.

The young knight Tywin Lannister, who was nineteen this year, was among the knights sent by his father Tytos to fight the war. An army of thousand knights and ten thousand men got sent to fight this war for the crown while the lord was staying his night with his mistress.

The young Tywin did not like his father and actually despised him because he thought that he was a good-for-nothing that made the others belittle this house name. He thought multiple times of using force to make his father step down from his position, especially after his arrangements for this war. The young Tywin advised his father many times, but his father would not take Tywin's advice.

His father, the respectable Warden of the West, did not join his men to fight this war and preferred to accompany his mistress in her bed. Tywin swore in his heart that the first thing he would do after taking his father's position was to humiliate that slut who seduced his father and made him do all those irrational things.

Even if his father was not a warrior, he was a strategist and could lead the army from the back. But because of that slut, his father had abandoned his duties as the lord of Casterly Rock. He even asked his brother, Jason, to lead the army in his place. Tywin was not belittling his uncle at all. He knew that his uncle was an excellent warrior who could lead the army. What made him angry was his father ignoring his duties. No wonder House Reyne dared to talk in their faces as if they were the rulers of the west and not the Lannister.

Tywin hated his father's weakness and saw him as the cause of all that. He was the reason why the Lannister fell down like that. He had a plan that he intended to use after this war. He knew that once his father left to accompany his mistress, he would spend months with her, and that would be the perfect time to implement his plan since Tytos would leave Tywin in charge.

Riding beside Tywin was his brother and right-hand man, Kevan Lannister. Kevan always trusted his brother and would always follow his command. Although he was still a squire to Lord Roger Reyne, Kevan did not like the man, especially after hearing what his brother said about him.

"Kevan, take care of yourself in this war. I don't need to remind you." Said Tywin with a gloomy tone as he looked at his brother. He needed Kevan for what he was planning to do after the war. He did not want to lose any of his brothers or uncle in this chaos created by the Blackfyres.

"Don't worry, Tywin. But are not you supposed to be in King's Landing with prince Aerys and Steffon Baratheon? I heard that you became friends with the two back then." Said Kevan as he looked at his brother. He heard that his brother, who did not have a friend in Westerlands because he was harsh with his words, made two friends in King's Landing.

"Prince Aerys is a promising prince, and he will be a good king. Steffon Baratheon is alright as well, and we got along quite well." Said Tywin with a calm voice this time as not only did he remember his friends in King's Landing, but he also remembered his love, Joanna Lannister, who served as the Lady-in-waiting to Princess Rhaella Targaryen since early this year.

"I decided to join the Lannister's force since I know that our good-for-nothing father would ignore his duties like that, and I will have to be present in his place. As for Steffon, his wife is pregnant with his second child, so he returned to Storm's End earlier than me. As for prince Aerys, he will join Lord Ormund's force and follow him to Stepstones." Said Tywin as he completed what he wanted to say and said everything in one voice. If not for his father, he would have traveled with much freedom and achieved many things as the other knights. But at the moment, he had to consider The Westerlands' situation before anything else. If he did not, he was sure that his father would ruin the family more than he had done already.

Kevan nodded his head after hearing Tywin's words. Both of them did not know that their youngest uncle, Jason Lannister, who was riding his horse in the front, listened to their conversation since the beginning and heard every word that Tywin said. He was also surprised to see Tywin return to Casterly Rock at this time, and after listening to their conversation, he found out why.

Jason felt pity towards Tywin, who held the Lannister's burdens on his shoulders since long ago because of his brother, Tytos's incompetence. Jason saw no one who was suitable to be the lord of Casterly Rock more than his nephew, Tywin, as he knew his talent, and he was sure that the Lannisters and the Westerlands would flourish during his rule. He promised Tywin in his heart that he would support him whenever he wanted when they returned from this war.
