I didn't leave my room for the next few days for multiple reasons...
First: I'm so tired of people.
Second: I didn't want anyone asking me about my neck and if I've been bitten.
And third: I didn't want to run into anyone from the Ping Pong club.
At some point on the night after I quite the club. It suddenly dawned on me that I had signed that dang contract. I searched my drawers and under my bed for the stupid contract. There had to be some kind repercussion if I wanted to quit.
~I bet I just have to pay some money, which I wouldn't mind. I have money saved up that I would gladly use as a way out of that god forsaken club.~
But the problem is, I can't find the stupid contract anywhere.
On the third day of not leaving my room, my scar is starting to heal.
I could probably go out in public again, especially if I wore a scarf. I just don't want to.
A knock on my door startles me, and when I look through the peephole I see Zen and Candace waiting in the hallway.
~Nope. I'm not answering.~
I silently walk back to my bed and pick up a manga I've been reading.
Another knock.
I pretend like I can't hear it.
"Tia!" Zen calls, "We know you're in there!"
~No you don't~
If Anna was here, I'd send her to the door to tell them to go away.
"C'mon Tia," Candace says, "We just want to talk."
~No, you just want to convince me to come back to the club.~
Nearly everyone from the club, except Luca, has tried calling my cell at least 10 times over the past few days. I know they don't want me to quit. Not just because I signed a contract, but also because they need a certain amount of players to join the European Ping Pong convention.... Or whatever it was that Charlie kept talking about.
~It doesn't matter... I'm done with the club.~
I start looking for my headphones to block out the sound of their voices.
"If you don't come out." Zen begins, "Then Candace and I are just gonna camp out in front of your dorm room for the rest of the day."
~They wouldn't...~
"Hope you won't need to use the bathroom anytime soon!" Candace calls and I hear the sound of them sitting down and leaning their backs against the door.
The bathrooms of our dorm were down the hall. If they're sitting there, then that means I can't go to the bathroom without having to talk to them.
~I can hold it.~
***** 3 hours later *****
I pace in front of the door.
~They're seriously still there.~
Candace has been doing homework and Zen has been sleeping, for the past three hours.
~This is ridiculous! Jeez, why did I have to drink so much water? I watched a youtube video that said it was healthy to drink a whole jug of water a day, but why did I decide to start that today?~
I pace in front of the door again.
~I can't hold it much longer.~
I hear Zen outside my door, she must have woken up. "Jeez, she doesn't need to pee yet?" she asks Candace with a yawn.
"I guess not." Candace responds.
"Well, lets see if I can change that." Zen says, and I silence to see what she'll do next. "Luckily, I brought this just for a situation like this."
My curiosity gets the better of me and I go to the door and look out the peephole again. Zen has two empty cups and she's filling one with water.
~What is she doing?~
"I heard," Zen says, "that when you hear running water, it makes you need to pee."
~That can't be true.~
Then Zen holds the cup full of water up above her head and pours it into the cup on the floor. The stream of water makes a loud obnoxious sound as it transfers cups.
And I-
I throw the door open and it sends Zen flying across the hallway and her water spilling all over the floor.
~I have to pee RIGHT NOW~
I run to the bathroom.
