Chapter 7
After waiting for several minutes, the smoke has already become thick and even Jack who is far away from the smoke has to cover his mouth. In no time he heard zubats screaming from the cage, they are very angry that somebody disturb them during sleeping. Over a thousand of zubats came out of the cave in rage but after they got out they found out that they become blind as some sort of frequency is preventing them from perceiving the surrounding. They dare not to go around since in this forest there are relatively strong pokemons so they have no choice but to fly around in circles waiting for a fire to go out.
Jack who is in the bush far away start to check zubats aptitude. With the latest version of aptitude detector he can control it to only point out pokemon of above green. After quick scanning he found out that there are more than 100 zubats with green aptitude but most of them are light green. He found out that deep green aptitude are highest among them. He knows even in this island light blue are very rare. They do not exceed 10 pokemons totally and most of them are beedrill species as they reproduce fastest. Among the deep greens many of them are over 20s and already in adult hood which are very hard to tame and limit their aptitude. If you find a relatively newborn zubat you can raise his aptitude to a next level with training.
After not finding what he wanted, Jack patiently waited for another batch and just in a few minutes another horde of zubat coming out the cave. This is his last chance, if he waits more Golbats will come out and they will put down the fire and found out that he is behind all this and he will be killed. Luckily for him the batch of zubats are new borns and their aptitude is very good. He found 3 newborn zubats with deep green aptitude, and one of them is with hidden ability.
After seeing this Jack got overjoyed and he checked the information of all three pokemons.

Jack got really surprised by the information. He knows that pokemon of hidden ability is naturally more talented than other pokemons but not by this much. He even see tiny threads of blue mixing in the last zubat aptitude. Now he knows why hidden ability is not yet introduced to public in this timeline. Only powerful family is allowed to know this kind of knowledge because if they find out pokemon of hidden ability is more talented, many pokemons will be haunted by poachers to find the ones with hidden ability which will tilt the balance of ecosystem. So before they have a complete control of the region they will not introduce the hidden ability.
Even among others pokemon with hidden ability this zubat seems to be more talented. He evens learn the ability Quick attack which only zubat can learn with hereditary. He must have learned it while watching others. Learning abilities not only need talent but also hard work so Jack is very satisfied about this pokemon. Quick attack is also a practical ability which can not only use to attack but to evade as well. If you can combine with Aerial Ace its speed will be absolutely terrifying.
Also he has three hereditary abilities and all of them are very useful among them, agility is very rare to have it as hereditary ability which means its innate talent for speed is very good. Normally is only pokemon of born with blue aptitude has three hereditary abilities. Green has two and yellow has only one. Pokemon of orange aptitude does not have hereditary abilities but it can still learn many moves. Pokemon of red aptitude can only learn four moves. If they learn new they will forget the old ones. There are no pokemon born with purple aptitude. (Legendaries are not born they are created by God Arceus)
Jack thinks about it and find out reason this zubat can have three genetic abilities must be because of those blue threads in his aptitude. His real aptitude can be said to semi light blue.
Now the only problem is to catch that zubat before Golbat are alerted about this situation. So Jack prepare his bow and arrow. He ties up his arrow with rock heads because pokemon skins are normally very hard to cut and very durable. If a human want to injure it using blunt weapons is probably the best way. Another reason to use rocks is that it restrain flying type pokemon and that zubat is a newly borned so his physical condition is not yet developed so it is easy to injure it. After scanning Jack knows that it is only two weeks old and his wings are not yet develop so he chooses to aim his arrows at the wings.
With his eyesight and the ability to scan his surrounding and training with arrows for five years, his archery is said to be top notch. Even if it is a pokemon two weeks old cannot take too many hits and after a few rounds it fell down. Jack use this opportunity to throw his pokeball and catch it. After it beeps three times the pokeball stood still which means that he has successfully caught it.
Before celebrating his joy of having first pokemon, he quickly received his pokeball and bat repellent and run back to the headquarter because just now he heard the screams of Golbats.
