Prologue

Maria's POV

I asked myself earlier about the things that makes me happy.

Happy? Being able to pursue my passion in becoming an art director or an artist. That was the ultimate goal I wanted to pursue. But to have a one hundred word essay to be passed tomorrow is really a challenge. Shit's real when you're going through this senior high school curriculum.

Anyways, I have a lot to think since tomorrow marks the end of the semester and summer begins. I'll have time to work out and deal with where I would go in case I get to apply to top notch art schools here in America.

I laugh realizing those words I've said before. I'm aiming for an arts degree instead of focusing on the business and management track that my parents wanted me to focus on my future. It's hard when your life decisions ends in a halt. Strict parents or not, they should understand the circumstances that they are not in charge of their children's future plans and goals.

NO

I'll always fight for my dreams and goals. I'll prove to them that I have what it takes to get my dream jobs and passions.

And if one person makes me want to think twice, I'll dump their heads in the trash and leave. I'll never have the opportunity to be myself and just enjoy my own likes.

Peter's POV

Papa, I'll make you proud of me. I promise and I'll make it happen.

My father wanted what was best for our family. Even when  it means to put pressure on certain things that makes me uncomfortable. I've always known that I was going to help this family and the business to evolve be able to make innovative practices in order for this business to grow.

Some families support and help their own children towards their goals. I'm happy for the opportunity yet I'm frightened as to what I might do that could disappoint my family and friends.

I believe that there is something waiting for me. Something far more greater than just being a son of the president of the multimillion peso hotels that my dad and grandfather built. That those opportunities can help me grow and learn more about the business as well as an independent individual.

I just have to be patient, and let things go flowing towards me. Whatever happens, I'll stay true and faithful towards every person I'll encounter.
