Chapter 2

PETER

I was standing beside the wall as I was waiting to board the plane. I was busy texting my friend driver who was now helping my dad at the company trips.

"Ok bro, don't I get a gift from my friend?" He asked with a playful tone.

"Uh no, I was busy focusing on the food."

"Okay that hurts. Your twin and young sister said they'd bought me some gifts, yet my own friend since time began didn't." I chuckled and walked towards my siblings.

"Kuya, the plane is now set. Let's go." I heard one of my siblings said. Kelsie took her handbag out for me to carry it and then proceeded to walk.

"Kelsie, please grab hold of Charice when we board." I instructed my sister and she nodded.

I grab hold of Charice's Hello Kitty knapsack as I pass through the gate. All of the flight attendants greeted and ushered us to first class. They then told us to have a safe flight and walked away from the plane.

I heard a call from one of the attendants, ushered me and my sister to go in the first class section of the plane.

"Mr. Peter William Aranguez, Miss Kelshienne Joanne Aranguez, welcome aboard. Can I get you something?" The attendant asked as I grab hold of my little sister's knapsack.

"Water will be fine miss." Kelsie replied. The flight attendant nodded and left. I placed my sister's knapsack inside the compartment at the overhead of my plane seat. I sat beside my twin and let out a big sigh after waiting for 30 minutes inside the airport.

My twin sister then looked around and widened her eyes like she forgot something. I then asked her what the hell was happening.

"Where's Charice?" She asked.

She then looked all over the first class seats to find our little sister. She looked pale from the moment that she knew she had lost our little sister. "I'm sure I was holding her hand before we went inside."

She stood up and went to ask the attendant in the plane. I then stood up and joined with her in search for our little sister.

I went to Kelsie to check whether she saw Charice or not. As to my surprise, I saw Kelsie reprimanding our sister.

"Charice!" I went towards their direction.

"I saw a girl and she helped me. I gave her my stuff toy because she was good to me." She explained. I was happy and hugged her tight. God knows what would dad do to me if Charice went missing.

"Charice it's bad to just walk away from us like that. There maybe some bad people trying to take you from us. Next time, go with ate Kelsie always." She nodded as to what I've said.

I wanted to thank the girl who found my sister, but the attendant said that the plane was about to take off. We went back to our seats and read Charice her stories.

"Mulan is not a princess, she is a warrior. I wanna be just like her one day." She told us. I smiled and gave her a peck on the forehead telling her to sleep.

"She's really a smart kid kuya." Kelsie said.

"You both are just like me. With the good looks and the smarts."

Kelsie made a face at me and laughed. But it was true, I was the smartest sibling out of us three. Well, Charice is still getting to know and learn things while me and Kelsie are doing our own ways.

After hours of sleeping, I finally saw that our plane has now landed in Lapu-Lapu City.

"Peter wake up." I tilted my head to the front and suppressed a yawn.

"Yey! I'm gonna see Charlie again." I heard Charice said. My two girl siblings talked and I just laid back my head from the seat's headrest. As the plane we rode landed, I was thinking about talking to my dad about certain stuff. Before I wasn't sure. Now? I think I can do it.

After we landed, we got out baggages and walked towards the airport exit. I saw Juan standing outside the car with my dad beside him. "Daddy!" Charice ran fast towards our dad and gave him a hug.

"Dad," I greeted my dad with a smile and a hug. Kelsie kissed my dad on the cheek and hugged him. I then proceeded to hug him tight. He patted my back and smiled after we broke the hug.

"I hope the flight was fine." My dad said.

"Yes it was daddy! The lady in the airplane gave me some yummy chocolate ice cream and I watched Sesame Street...." Charice told my dad everything. All of them were very happy, the atmosphere was very light compared to the many meeting I had with my dad .

As we head to our car, Charice excitedly said to our dad about the trip to Disneyland, places we've visited and all.

"Okay, so when we arrive at the house, no more sweets. Okay baby?" My dad said. I saw my little sister frown.

"But daddy,"

"Do you want the tooth monster to get all of your teeth?" Kelsie butted in the conversation. Dad made a scary face at Charice.

"Kuya look at Daddy and ate." I chuckled.

"No sweets Charice." We waited for dad's response. The little girl pouted and creased her brows.

I laughed at her face and she just frowned at me. Being spoiled now are we little girl?

"Yaya!" Charice ran towards our nanny.

"Come here baby! I missed you so much,"

"I missed you too Yaya!"

"Where's your siblings?" Her eyes searched for us, then she smiled.

She walked towards me and Kelsie and gave us a big hug.

"How tall are my twins that I have cared from since they were little." I smiled at her. It's been a year since the last time I saw Yaya.

This is my story My name is Peter, like the apostle. I have a twin sister, her name is Kelshienne Joanne Aranguez. Mom said that I was born first and then Kelsie came minutes after. I could say that we were born with silver spoons in our mouths because my dad owns the biggest five star hotel, La Vida Rojo Hotels. Dad and Mom really taught us how to be more responsible in our own at an early age.

But when Mom died because of giving birth to Charice, dad decided to let us take care of her since he was busy with work and all. Kaya kami ni Kelsie ang tumayong ama at ina ng kapatid namin. When I got into a fight, it was because my little sister was bullied by much more older kids. I was sent to the principal. Dad bailed me out of that prison amd warned me never to do that again.

We had a long conversation with my dad as we got in the house. Boy to Man, he also explained why he had to neglect his duties to Charice. He had another woman. I got sick at him when he said that. But I learned to accept that it was no use, we just wanted him to be happy.

When we met the woman, she was pretty. Not as beautiful as my mom. She briefly asked me and my siblings why do we always spend my dad's fortune to waste like playing and buying things that were just as useless as plastic.

There started the brewing argument with my sister and my dad's girlfriend. Hell, she was also the reason why dad was suffering for financial problems because of her tasteless demands.

She tried to explain to dad, but he didn't believe her. For how many years she tried to convince dad about our own false faults, but my dad had enough. So he told her to get out of the house and never came back.

Kelsie and I, we've been homeschooled throughout our childhood. We go to La Salle Green Hills when we were in junior high school. When we graduated in our elementary years, me and Kelsie were able to study at Cebu City in the Philippines.

Dad then decided to enroll us in a different school in the last year of our senior high. Dad wanted us to go there at Parson's High, it was an exclusive school that some of the students there are basically the children of knowned wealthy businessmen, actors and scholars. It was fine for us since the school curriculum was the same to our last school.

But what I've really wanted to talk to my dad about is wanting a job in our company. I want to show dad that I very much willing to work from the bottom until I reach the top.

I walked towards my dad at tinitigan siya. He knows what I'm proposing and he was willing to listen.

"So about you working for the company, are you sure about your decisions? I mean you do need to focus more on your school and grades."

"I want to at least have faith in myself once I have become an owner of a company. I just want to know the works of being a hotelier is." I said. My dad nodded and just stood there looking at the backyard. He might think that my proposal was a hilarious prank to him yet I was dead serious in his eyes.

After minutes, I asked my dad if we could continue this talk privately. He nodded and I just went inside the library.

"Dad, I want to work at our company."
