After that day, Lin JinYan fell into a deep depression. Su Ning refuses to answer any of his calls or messages. Whenever he tries to come to her apartment, Su Ning refuses to see him. It appears that the girl was serious about taking time apart. Lin JinYan was beside himself with anguish and grief. This time around, he felt that he was losing her for real. They had fought several times before but he was always able to make Su Ning come around. All it took was to hurt himself a little. Usually a cut to his hand was all it took to arouse the girl's sympathy. He would purposely cut himself and not treat the wound so it would get infected. Of course, everytime he was careful not to cut too deep so as not to affect his piano playing.

Lin JinYan looked down at his bloody hands. 'But why wasn't it working?' He asked himself.
