I cleared my throat.

Daven removed his lips on my head and shuffled my hair. Before he faces Aki who now standing with angry eyes.

"Ar-----," My secretary tangled in speaking.

"Bea, Aki. Lunch?" Daven asks as nothing happened.

Well, it was all nothing for me. Those were for friendly kiss nothing else.

"Yes, I didn't know Daven that you already found the new girl. Let me guess, rebound girl?" Aki murmured in insult.

How dare you call me to rebound!

"Oh! HAHHAHAHHHA," Daven laughed.

Aki gave him a confusing and irritated look. Is there's wrong with kissing someone's forehead in public? I don't see issues in there.

"She's not a rebound Aki! HAHAHAAHHAHA. Rita is one of a girl who.... who deserves a date to marry endings," Daven explained and let go of some quotes that made Aki's look annoyed.

Daven tap Aki's shoulder a sign of goods. He then held my hand and push me gently to give space for Aki and Bea.

I click the button of the elevator to the ground floor and stayed quiet.

"Attorney, are you in a relationship with attorney Daven?" Bea asks while we were walking towards the parking lot.

Aki and Daven are in front of us. They're walking while talking to each other. We couldn't even hear their talks because it's all whispered.

Damn...

"Of course not. He was my cousin, idiot." I explained.

"What!?" She screamed in whispered.

"Yeah, so don't waste your time thinking that we're together."

"How about attorney Aki? do you both have any flings or feelings?" Bea ask.

"Bea, you're being too noisy. Do you know what I always do, to those secretaries who are noisy when they're with me?" I asked her with a warning in my voice.

She cleared her throat before answering me.

"Attorney, Im really am quiet. Do you see? I'll go to the first attorney. Have lunch both!" Bea responded in fear.

Without further ado, she went inside Aki's car. Daven opened the door for me while smiling.

"What's with the smile, Daven?" I asked in confusion.

"Someone is having a crush on my wifey, hmmm." He answered and chuckled.

"Damn... just tell me what is it?"

"Nothing wifey, it's nothing. Now let's go, judge will be angry if we arrive late in the restaurant."

"I hate you," I murmured.

"You always do, hay."

We're on our way to the restaurant. Daven was driving smoothly while playing his favorite songs.

I was beside him, reading some case while listening to his music. That was a piece of very chill music and that made me relax too.

"You transferred to Kores? why?" I spoke still reading some files.

"I need to win back Molissa,"

"You're funny Daven," I laughed.

"What? I am serious about doing this so don't laugh at me," He pursues his words.

"Alright, alright. Just be careful on chasing her back to you," mumbled with a warning in my tone.

"Of course. That man she is with right now is a bit scary but I won't let Molissa slipped again in my hands,"

"If that's the only thing that will make you happen...then I'll support you on that,"

He nodded and smiled while I continue reading some files and felt the pain in my eyes.

I'm a bit tired of reading the cases that I'll be handling. It will take a year before this case is solved, things really hit differently.

"We're here," Daven announced.

He went out in his car first and opened the door for me. We walk through the high double glass doors with a serious face.

Daven was holding his briefcase so am I. Everyone's eyes aren't invisible for me so I do can see how they look at us.

"Reservations for judge Teofleo," I uttered when the waitress went to with us.

"This way ma'am and sir," The lady mumbled and led us the exact way.

It was a round glass table with some of the judge's team and some attorneys who work on the other firm.

Maybe it was one of his close friends and assets in different law firms.

"Good afternoon, Im so sorry we're late." I greet and apologize.

"No, no-no. It's fine attorney Buenvenco, it's a pleasure to have you in our lunch. Have a sit," I think he was the judge that my secretary mentioned being, lately.

"Thank you, so can we order? I think y'all waited for us in a long time," I mumbled and pointed to the menu.

"Sure, sure." Everyone responded.

"Waiter!"

One of the lawyers shouted as he called the waiter. I thought there would be one waiter who will take out orders.

Good thing he brought 2 more waitresses to assists us.

"I'll just ha---,"

"Attorney Izonel!"

I couldn't finish my words when someone at our table shouted Aki's surname.

They all waved to Aki's side while I was remained on the choice of food to order on the menu.

Daven pinch my hands to alarm me to do the same thing they did.

"What?"

"Gosh, Rita you really are like that to him?" He murmured.

"Look? Im choosing a part of the food to order, who it is by the way?" I asked in innocent.

Daven raised his eyebrows and shooked his head. A sign of he gives up on explaining.

Funny.

We all waited for the food until it was served to our table. It smells so good and is very fresh to eat.

No wonder my stomach is quite noisy. I'm now hungry, supper hungry than before.

We started to eat and have some chit chats. I was all along quiet, acting safe to each question.

Don't want to drag my name to their talks, but judge Teofleo notice my silence.

"Aurora, are you fine? do you find this awkward to you, dear?" The not-so-old judge asks me.

"No, it's the fine judge. I was just so focused on my food, but Im listening to each conversation." Responded in a nice way.

"Well then, that's good to hear." He mumbled.

"By the way attorney Aurora. Why do choose to become an attorney, when you all have the power cause you were once a prosecutor." The lady beside the judge asked.

"Ohh, it was part of my plan on leaving my old firm. I can still get back to where I was before, but for now. Let me just try being a low lawyer in this firm," I answered while sipping in my wine glass.

She nodded and continue eating. The chit chats were still visible and I still couldn't join their conversations.

So, Daven talk to me the lunch 'til it end and said goodbye to each other. The judge thanks me for accepting his invite so do I to him.

Im pleased that he invites in a lunch with his team and other close friends in different firms. That was a fine and unique lunch I've attended.

How unique.
