Sixty

There was a knock on the door just as I took off my coat and placed it over the back of the chair in the room.

I checked the time on my watch.

It had taken him just about two minutes.

Smiling to myself, I went over to the door and looked through the peep-hole on the door, just to make sure. I found Changmin standing there with his head lowered, glancing around to ensure that no one was watching. He would have looked very suspicious to any passer-by.

I opened the door and let him in. "You came fast."

"Of course, I did." He said hurriedly and entered the room. We couldn't afford to be seen sneaking into a hotel room like this, after all. "But I have to say, I had not expected you to do this." He turned to me as I shut the door.

I smiled. "Mhm." Honestly, I had not planned on doing this either. This was very unlike me. With all those occasional stolen glances, the vague head-pat and how popular he was among the guests and the girl group members, however, I couldn't stand the distance anymore. It had been nearly three months since we last saw each other and yet, when we finally did see each other, it had to be at the anniversary event of DayBreak in a gigantic hall full of people and the media.

What else could I have done but gotten us a room?

"Hyung…" I stepped up to him and brought my hands to his chest, running them up to his shoulders and pulling his coat down to his elbows.

"Ya." He watched me in surprise, a rather playful smile making its way up to his lips as his eyes fixed on my face.

"I've missed you." I said and pulled him towards myself by his arms that were now restricted by the coat. Given our height difference, his neck was at the perfect level of my lips. I pressed a kiss to the side of it.

"Jeongwoo." He called a little breathily, clearly not having expected my advances. "Hold on." He managed to get his arms free when I settled for hugging him, securing my arms tightly around his torso. He then set his coat down on the table nearby and caught my cheeks in both his palms, turning my head up to make me look at him. "You can't leave a mark on me."

"I know." I smiled. I could not stop myself earlier though. "I won't."

"Oh, you…" He scrunched up his brows and looked at me endearingly, then leaned in and kissed me- a long, soft, patient and tender kiss. Then he embraced me and held my head to the crook of his neck. "I've missed you too."

Even though we were constantly in touch, at least via text, I had missed him enough to actually want to cry just then. I couldn't do that and ruin this rare moment that we had gotten to ourselves. So, I swallowed all the overwhelming sentiments and just smiled, closing my eyes and soaking in the warmth of his arms that I had only dreamt of over the past few months.

Oh, how I had longed for this!

"It would have been nice if we could have just taken this room for the night." He said softly, breathing me in in a way that tickled. He threaded his fingers into my hair and just held on.

"Could we?" I asked despite knowing the answer to that already.

"I wish…" He sighed and rested his chin on my shoulder. "I have to go tonight though. You know that I'm only here for this event."

America. Yes. I was aware. "I'm sad…"

"I am too. Don't send me off like this though. If you do, I won't be able to concentrate on work."

I chuckled. "Aw, Hyung."

"Mm." He stroked my back. "I feel like dancing with you."

"Now? Why?" Dancing? That was random.

"Just like that." He shrugged. "Holding you like this, I remembered 'For Old Times' Sake'."

"Heh…" Is that so?

He stepped back a little and smoothed down my hair, covering my eyes with it. When I shook my head to get them out of my eyes, he laughed and laced his fingers at the small of my back, looking at me. "Jeongwoo-ya."

"Yes, Hyung?"

"I have really missed you." He nudged his face into the side of my neck. "Ah. I really… missed you."

"Ng." I clutched his shirt. "I know."

"Jeongwoo." He raised his eyes to me again, this time seriously. "Will you allow me to indulge in you just a little?"

What was with that question? "Why do you think I got us a room?" I asked, bringing my arms up to wrap them around his neck. Well, I had originally only wanted to see him properly and get away from the crowd but now that it's come to all this, why would I want anything else?

"Ya… How are you the same person who turned and ran away when I first kissed you?" He smirked, running a hand up my back to my head.

"It's not like I'm not worried." I clarified. "Even now, when I got this room, I almost backed away four times but then again…" I remembered his letter. "…this is just how pathetic I get when it comes to things about you."

He let out a small laugh at that before meeting my lips, pulling me into himself a little more. At first, he was just pressing his lips to mine but then took my lower lip between his. In between kisses that just got progressively passionate, he walked me backwards and I soon had my back against the wall. He ran the hand that was at my head along my left arm and brought his other hand up to my right. Making me unwrap my arms from around his neck, he proceeded to pin them above my head to the wall. By then, tongues were involved too. The way we sought after each other through those kisses was as if we had been starved. And I found comfort in the fact that it wasn't just me who was feeling this desperate.

This was… hot.

Entrusting both my hands to his left, he used his right hand to untuck my white shirt. He then began undoing its buttons from the bottom but then stopped at just two and let out a small cry in frustration. "We don't have time."

What? "H-Hyung?" I was breathless. He was too.

"I-" He let go of my arms. "There's no time and… we can't do this now." He looked at me helplessly. "We can't be gone for too long."

That was true. This was long enough for Jaehyeon and the others to start worrying about me too. But- "Do you… want to stop?"

"No." He replied without needing to think about it, looking down at my half-undone shirt. "I'm sorry, Jeongwoo. We might get in trouble."

I was a member of S.T.A.Y. He was a member of 04:00 am. We were the two biggest names in DayBreak. We had as much a presence and responsibility at that party as Kim PD-nim had, particularly in attending to the stakeholders and guests. We could not just ditch the party. We needed to go back. Usually, I would have been the careful one. Had I fallen so hopelessly for him that I was not even thinking straight anymore?

What had three months done to me?

Hyung, what have you done to me?

He furrowed his brows and caressed my cheek. "Are you okay?"

No. I wasn't. How could I have been okay? "Well… I don't know."

He smiled and returned to kissing me. "Just a little bit more?"

"Mm." I placed a hand over his on my cheek. "A little…"

"Ah. But… I'm getting turned on." He pulled away from the kiss. "I don't know if I can stop."

I was no different. "Missed me that much?" I turned my face enough to kiss his palm.

"What do you think?" He watched.

Ah, Hyung.

I pulled him into another kiss. The shirt lying loosely open like that allowed his palms to find my waist. Planting them firmly against my skin, he pulled me into him again. We shared a few more hot intimate kisses before he pressed his nose into the side of my neck again and then nipped my earlobe lightly.

"Hyu-Hyung." I flinched when he ran his right hand up my back under my shirt. "No more… Ah!"

"Oh?" He stopped to look at me. "Did you just moan?"

Wha- I felt the blood rush to my head. "Whose fault do you think that is?" I buried my face into his shoulder in embarrassment.

He laughed a little and wrapped his arms tightly around me. "Let's stop here for today. Any more and I might really lose it."

I nodded. "Me too."

We stayed like that for a while, holding onto each other as he lightly stroked my back over my shirt. The very thought of parting was too much to bear.

But we had no choice.

"Here." Changmin handed me my coat when he grabbed his own.

"Thanks." I took it from him. "You can… leave first. I'll have to return the room card too. I'll leave after that."

"Mm." He gave me a troubled smile.

We had to be careful. While it would be relatively easier to come up with excuses since we were both men, it wasn't a risk we could afford to take.

"I love you." He gave me a quick peck on the lips before heading to the door.

I love you too.

The door shut and I sat down on the bed, looking down at my hands. It had been a very risky move from my side. When I thought about it just then, I couldn't help but apprehend myself. How drunk was I on my desperation that I had done this?

I sighed and lay back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

It will be another few months before I get to see him again.

I closed my eyes and hummed a random song, trying to comfort my aching heart. It had always been difficult to watch him leave but now…

I opened my eyes an sat up once the song got over. This should be long enough a wait, right? Checking myself in the mirror, I slowly left the room, returned the room card at the reception desk and went back into the hall to find S.T.A.Y.

"Ah. You're back." Yeojun clung to my arm as soon as I joined them.

"You good?" Hanseol asked.

"Yeah." I nodded and smiled. They had all already finished dinner and were standing together and talking.

"We'll have to go meet a few more people who came in just about now." Mingyu said.

"Okay." I nodded again. This was exactly why Changmin and I could not have stayed in the room any longer.

I briefly let my eyes wander till I found him with 04:00 am. Then I brought my eyes back to S.T.A.Y, meeting Jaehyeon's gaze. He looked away almost immediately with a sour face.

Was he… angry? It looked like he was but I couldn't tell why. However, before I could ask him about it, we had to go do our job.
