Chapter 3: Roommates

Blair's POV

Weirdly enough there are two symbols instead of one in my door panel. One of them is a star with a halo around it, but I ignored that assuming that's just an extra decor since my room is in the center between the other two. The door opened and my eyes can't get enough of staring at my new room, the room has a queen-sized bed, white walls, a red LED strip light that goes around the bottom of my bed and the ceiling, a floating desk with a computer, and lastly the three sets of bookshelves.

"Wow, my room is looking fire doncha think?"

"Can't argue with that hun, and I must confess that I'm lowkey jealous now."

I looked around for a while in search of my room key cards so I could give one to Abby, after some time I finally found all three of them on one of the bookshelves.

"Oh come on, we are literally staying in the same dorm, Abby you can barge in my door anytime, any day." I said while handing her one of the keycards.

She accepts the cards and started exploring my room as well until at this point that I don't even know who's room is it anymore, She started opening all the drawers under my bed, the drawers under the desk, the closet, and the cabinets. It's like she's the police dogs checking every compartment for drugs or something dangerous.

"What are you looking for Abby? Maybe I can help you with it?"

"Hmmm, I wonder where is the clue's at..." She said with confusion.

"What clue? Is there some type of detective game or an event in the school?"

"What??? A game?? Pftttt... It's rare for this school to even have an event let alone a game."

She said whilst laughing at my stupidness and I'm just stood there embarrassed by myself, after some time she finally stopped laughing at me and we both proceed to start unpacking my stuff and getting them all tidied up. We split up and assign each other along with the unpacking tasks supposed to cover, for example, I'm in charge of unpacking the stuff and arranging the clothes while Abby is in charge of decor, arranging the books, and cleaning up the messes afterward.

We finished it way sooner than we expect it should be and not to mention the number of effort that Abby put in decorating my room is just a chef's kiss honestly and since we finished early today we decided to just lounge around and get to know each other better. We ended up talking a lot about what we have in common such as, favorite artist, favorite singer, favorite food, you get the drill. Suddenly in the middle of our conversation, the speaker started talking and yes there is a speaker in each dorm to make it easier to inform an unexpected event and such to the students.

//Speaker//

"Good afternoon everyone, sorry to interrupt your activities but I have an announcement especially for the freshmen because we may or may not have a slight mistake on scheduling for the meeting of orientation. So we shall inform you that the meeting will be held tomorrow at the main hall. Thank you."

//beep//

"Huh... That's weird." Abby said in a slightly confused face

"What's weird? The announcement? It's just an announcement... What's weird about it?"

"Well..., my mom had gone to this school before and she always said that the school never makes a mistake, not even once. So when the teacher said that there will be a quiz out of the blue, there will be one, if the school said there will be a dance ball or a ball with scheduled time they will hold it exactly at the scheduled time."

"I mean when you put it that way it does sound off, but come on Abby that's a long time ago... This is a completely new term ." I mean... I'm not wrong, people do change after some time, right? Some get older and sometimes they got short terms memories problems.

"Yeah... I guess..."

//Knock-knock-knock//

The knocking at the door stopped us talking, Abby headed toward the door and peeked at the peephole to see that there is this girl about our height with pink hair and yellow eyes. Abby hesitated about whether or whether not to open the door saying that she's suspicious, but who am I kidding, it's Abby, she overreacts every time. I just rolled my eyes at her, stood up from the couch, and opened the door for the poor pink-haired girl.

"Hi there, is there something I can help you with?"

"Oh... I- uh... think this is my dorm?" She seems confused, or is she scared of us? I don't know honestly. Do we even look scary?

"Ooooo... Uhm... If you don't mind you can come in and sit at the couch first while I'm checking the dorm list." Abby said while holding some stapled papers

"Y-yeah... Sure, I hope I didn't interrupt anything..."

"O, don't worry we just finished unpack my belongings anyway and taking a break."

She sat down on the couch while Abby reads the papers in her hand, this girl is rather interesting than weird to me. I mean the yellow eyes? Pink hair? she's basically me but in a different color palette, I got curious about her looks so I decided to ask her about her appearance. To my surprise, she also claimed that she has all that natural appearance just like me, but she did say that her hair roots were supposed to be white. She didn't like the way her roots looked and decide to dye her roots the same color as her hair.

Suddenly Abby scream "Aha!!..., is your name Rose Nathaniel by any chance?"

"Ye-yea... That's my name. How did you-"

"Know about it? Here it's in this paper, each dorm has one of these given to the first person who arrived at the dorms first. And since I came here first Madame Lavender gave me one." Abby fans out the piled papers on the table so we could get a closer look.
