Anger.

The morning sun had just begun to cast its golden hues across the training grounds as we gathered, summoned by our leaders to discuss the upcoming swimming training sessions. It wasn't mandatory for all trainees, only for those willing to take the plunge, quite literally.

"What's your take on this?" Rosa inquired, her eyes glinting with curiosity."You should decide; Tina isn't exactly thrilled about water," I replied, a hint of concern in my voice."This training will be rigorous, but it could be an incredible experience if you both join," Cindy encouraged, her tone reflecting a mix of challenge and enthusiasm."But what about Tina?" I raised the concern again."I'm willing to give it a shot. It'll be something new," Rosa declared, her adventurous spirit shining through."You two go ahead; I'll be your cheerleader from the sidelines," Tina chimed in with a supportive smile. We were relieved that Tina was on board with Rosa and me participating. The teams were allocated different time slots to avoid overcrowding at the pool. As we made our way to the swimming area, Jason was introduced as our trainer, with Kyle also present, though I avoided meeting his gaze."Is General Kyle eyeing you, Vicki?" Rosa teased, nudging my arm playfully."Who?" I feigned ignorance, trying to deflect her teasing."Your 'not-so-secret' admirer," she teased further, unable to contain her laughter. After Jason outlined the training protocols, everyone dispersed for lunch. Suddenly, Kyle intercepted me, pulling me aside into the locker room and securing the door behind us."What are you doing? Have you lost your mind?" I exclaimed, startled by his unexpected actions."What are you doing here?" His voice was laced with a mixture of frustration and concern.I was bewildered by his anger and erratic behavior. "Why are you so upset? I'll leave," I retorted, reaching for the keys to unlock the door and make my exit."I'm not finished talking to you. Where do you think you're going?" His stern tone halted my movements.Reluctantly, I paused, meeting his gaze with a mixture of defiance and apprehension. "What's on your mind?" I inquired, lowering my voice."Do you realize how intense this training will be? It's risky if you're not prepared," Kyle cautioned, his concern evident despite his tough exterior."What do you mean?" I probed, trying to grasp his cryptic warning."Drop out of the training," he commanded, his tone brooking no argument."No, I won't," I countered firmly, breaking away from his grip and exiting the room.Outside, Rosa, Cindy, Sam, and Jason awaited us, their expressions a blend of surprise and concern. I couldn't bring myself to explain the encounter, the unease still lingering in my mind."Are you okay?" Rosa's voice broke through my thoughts."Let's go," I replied, leading her away, the unsettling confrontation with Kyle weighing heavily on my mind.
