Going back home.

As the evening breeze whispered through the campus, Sam's gentle reminder echoed in my ears. "Shouldn't you girls go and rest now?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.

"We are going to have a chat with Cindy before leaving," Tina replied with a determined glint in her eyes.Kyle, ever the responsible one, interjected, "Talk with her when you return, 'cause you have to wake up early tomorrow to go back home," his gaze briefly lingering on me.Jason, always ready with a quip, couldn't resist teasing. "Look who is worried," he said with a playful smirk.Cindy, with her infectious laughter, joined in. "Haha... Yeah, let's catch up when you guys return. Now go and rest, or else someone will be upset," she teased, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.Reluctantly, we decided to head back to our dorms together. As we approached the girls' dorm, Kyle unexpectedly veered towards me, lowering his face near mine, his warm breath brushing my cheek as he whispered, "Take care and come back safely. I will miss you."(My Mind What the hell is he doing in front of others?)My cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and something I couldn't quite define. Kyle's smile was both reassuring and perplexing as he patted my head before turning and walking towards his office."What was that?" Jason's voice broke through my thoughts, his curiosity evident."Showing lovely couple's affection in front of the colleagues...haha," Cindy and the others chimed in, teasing smiles on their faces.Feeling a rush of emotions, I hurried to our room. It wasn't long before Rosa and Tina returned, their excitement palpable."Why were you late?" I asked, trying to divert my thoughts."We exchanged our numbers. They said they will make a group chat," Rosa replied, a gleam of excitement in her eyes."Let's sleep now," I suggested, eager to escape the whirlwind of emotions from the evening.The next morning came too soon, and we boarded the bus to head back home. Seeing Kyle and the others, along with Cindy, seeing us off brought a mix of relief and sadness. I was glad to catch a glimpse of Kyle's face before leaving, yet a part of me felt a pang of longing.After hours of travel, we finally returned home. Bursting with joy, I shouted, "MOM!! DAD!! I'm back!" and raced to embrace them."How were you doing, my little girl?" Dad's warm voice enveloped me in a sense of homecoming."It was pretty fine. I just missed you two a lot," I replied, my eyes shining with happiness."Bad girl, you didn't miss me?" A familiar voice, not my mom's, interrupted teasingly.It was my elder sister Molly's sweet voice."Molly!! Of course, I missed you the most," I exclaimed, pulling her into a tight hug, my happiness doubling at her unexpected visit."I know... haha... I missed my little nutcase too," Molly teased, her laughter filling the room.As we caught up, Molly revealed the reason for her surprise visit. "They had to do some business here, so I came back with them to visit parents," she explained."I miss my brother-in-law too. How is he doing?" I inquired, eager to hear about her life."He's fine. Let's have a meal together later with him after he finishes his work," Molly suggested, her eyes twinkling with excitement."That's great... I'm really tired, so I will go have some rest first," I said, eager to retreat to the comfort of my room.(My Mind Of course, my room is the best, and laying on my bed makes me feel like I'm in paradise.)With a contented sigh, I collapsed onto my bed, relishing the familiar surroundings and the warmth of family that surrounded me.
