Chapter 45: Can’t Control Me!

I opened my eyes after a long time and looked around. I couldn’t figure out where I was.

Then I heard the footsteps of someone and looked at the source to find a woman walking up to me. I looked at her confused and she smiled at me.

“Oh, you’re up?”

I looked around more carefully this time and realised that it was some sort of medical clinic.

“Where am I?” I asked anyway.

“This is the Citi hospital, Robert and I am your doctor”

I sat up, confused. “What happened to me?”

“Nothing much, just a little illness. You’ll be fine”

I sighed. “Where’s Hailey?”

“She’s not around,” She said in a rather irritated tone. “But you don’t need her. I am here!”

“Huh?” I found this rather stupid. What’s the comparison between her and Hailey? “When can I go back?”

“I am sorry, but you’ll need to stay here for a month”

“A month!?” I almost freaked out. “What? Am I dying or something?”

“No. But you are suffering from a disease that’ll kill you”
